Booked the hotel purely for the need of a bed for the night that was the sole purpose. The staff were very helpful but hotel is very dated and in desperate need of a revamp. It was pretty clean but there’s only so much you can clean ‘old’ and make it look nice. The sheets and pillow cases smelt clean and felt a good quality so no issues there but the beds weren’t in the best condition. Went to make a drink and when rinsed out kettle prior to use there was a grit left in the sink so decided against that. There was a bit of an odour through the hotel but not sure what it was. Not sure if there was food options there, never looked and went out to eat anyway

The door wasnt secure enough for us and we heard shouting in the night so didnt really get any sleep. The bed was uncomfortable and the room.smelt of cigarettes.

Tommy went above and beyond he is an amazing host :)

Dated rooms that could have been maintained better. Communal areas were even worse. Weird smell around the entire hotel. Definitely needs more TLC. Could have been cleaned and maintained better.

We weren’t expecting much but to find bedbugs in one of the beds in the twin room was awful! Receptionist did move my kids to two single rooms but offered no apology (apart from taking a pic of a bug on his phone). Will never stay again.

No water pressure shower not working
No good no breakfast

Overall it was ok for 1 night, the beds were comfortable but the condition of the bathroom was not great, the shower didn’t work particularly well and the toilet and taps were dripping continuously and a bug was in the bathroom. Also having a baby/toddler was difficult to walk around a large hotel with lots of stairs and no lift.

Sadly very very disappointed. There was a funny lingering smell throughout this hotel. Old fashioned key to open the door. The rooms were in desperate need of a refurb and clean. Bathroom door lock was broken. We were told that there was no food available during the week. We stayed for 30 mins and then checked out and booked elsewhere.

Room stank of cigarettes and felt unsafe with random men lurking in the corridors. Room was quite large but carpet unclean and seen better days.
Was "ok" for a few hours sleep before airport but I would never actively choose to stay there again

Nice staff. We left something
Behind which they found for us and rang us to tell us. Room comfortable. Small bar.

The room was clean and very large. The toilet seat lid needed to be propped up with a towel otherwise it would fall down on your back. Other than that I was very impressed, especially for the price of £48 for a Saturday night for a double.

Ideal location for Gatwick Airport, plenty of parking spaces, large clean room. Only negative is that shower is really feeble.

Positives beds clean and very comfortable. Hotel was very cheap for a family room. Negatives hotel is badly in need of refurbishment, the sliding door to our balcony had been left open and could not be closed or locked. The shower took an age to warm up and only hot luke warm and the bath could've be used as had no plug. The grout was damaged in the bathroom floor and badly in need of being regrouted. Whole llace really needs tk habe some work done to bring it back to its former standard

Initially I was booked into a single room (No.35), the room was small, but I didn’t expect much for what I’d paid. However the room was really cold. I tried to adjust the heating. Left the room, and went to the bar. I spoke to a member of staff to ask if I could borrow a heater if the room was not warm when I got back, they said yes. Got back to my room, which still really cold. Tried to turn the TV on, there was no signal. I was staying for 3 nights, so heating and a TV were important.
Went back to reception to explain the situation. Members of staff (wish I knew their names) were absolutely lovely, and upgraded me to a double room (No. 33) which was lovely and warm. TV only had certain channels, but you’re ok if you have Netflix / Prime TV. The room had a balcony, however there were nails sticking out of the wood.

Very convenient for Gatwick airport with lots of parking spaces. However the first room had a big hole on the bathroom floor and then I was given another room which had a stale smoky smell, so I had the window opened all night. Noticed there were other rooms specified as non-smoking. The hot water took a longer time to heat up. Kettle was very hit and miss!! Bed was manageable but not comfy. Very close to city centre with lots of restaurants and shops.

Not a great place to stay. Facilities were OKish. Incredible that the shower did not work. Complained but they never offered anything to mitigate. Was unhappy with the room cleanliness.

Ability to book in 24/7. Rooms are quite dated, but clean. All lights & sockets (some with usb) worked.
Bit concerned about party noise when we arrived at midnight, but room was well away. For the rate its fine - we flew into Gatwick and used it to rest overnight, its only 20 minutes from South Terminal and free parking.

On arrival hotel was very dated, they were setting up for 3 different parties so lots of chaos in reception and out the front.
We were told breakfast would not be available in the morning because of the functions.
Room was large but very dated. Carpet full of stains and clumps of black hair all over obviously hadn’t been hoovered properly.
Bathroom was clean however the shower did not work hardly at all, the handle to change the flow had snapped off so i had the tiniest flow of water to try and wash my hair. Worst shower i have ever had.
Turned the aircon on as it was stuffy but quickly turned it off as it smelt.
Bed was very comfy and clean that was the best part.
Could only get bbc 1 and bbc2 on tv,

I would not recommend staying at this hotel. It is like something out of the 1970's. Needs to be knocked down. Room was the furthest room possible. Bar not open in the evening. No water in the bathroom and a very cold shower in the morning.

My booking was cancelled by the hotel the day before due to ‘unforeseen circumstances’ leaving me in a difficult situation having to book another hotel last minute. As I was looking for another place to stay, I saw this same hotel available at double the price. So the hotel had cancelled my stay so that they could charge a higher price. I contacted the hotel to complain but got nowhere- terrible customer service avoid booking here!

Clean and tidy and helpful staff
Shower could have been a bit more forceful and tv only had a few channels

Honestly….you couldn’t pay me to stay here again. Which is a shame because the staff are really accommodating and friendly.
It’s just that it was so unclean,

We booked the deluxe double - £72. The lights in the room didn't work and the TV didn't work. Went to reception they gentleman informed us that of the two other deluxe rooms that they had - one was booked and the other TV didn't work either. We were given a standard double - with no refund on the price difference.
The gentleman on reception was nice enough.
The room was very run down. Bathroom walls and doors were wooden panels and were gross - split, clear damp and just dirty. The Bed was uncomfortable with greasy handprints on the headboard.
On leaving the room - after a bad night's sleep we found woodlice crawling around the carpet. Absolutely disgusting.

This hotel needs to be shut down ! It’s absolutely disgusting and I wouldn’t let my dog sleep in those rooms ! The corridors smelt disgusting, dead moths on the floor including our room ! Our room was damp cold and extremely dirty ! The tv did not working in any of the rooms and it has been like this for months, I did not stay here I asked for a refund and the manager would not give me one , I had to find somewhere else to stay adding cost on to my stay ! Absolutely disgusting dirty hell hole that needs shutting down !

The hotel was dismal right from reception through to and including the room. The corridors were a rabbit warren if wirn oyt caroets abd stairwelks, windiws wedged ooen, blinds blown inside out, buckets collecting rain water through ceilings. The room had a very broken mirror wardrobe, unusable with an upright runner hanging into the room, broken bathroom floor tiles and threadbare carpet, with an extremely rusty unkempt balcony. Smelt musty, with cigarette smoke smelling pillows Enough said ....

The hotel was very tired 40 rooms only 3 occupied. Our room was a deluxe. The mirror wardrobe door was broken and cracked. A floor tile in the bathroom was loose and broken and so was a trip hazard and could cause cut feet,. The light above the mirror in the bathroom didn't function and a ceiling light was also not functioning. One bedside reading light didn't work.
Only positive was the standard of breakfast and the waiter was very pleasant and helpful.

The room was unlocked and stank of tobacco smoke so unusable. There was only one other room untenanted with a note at the front desk 'Bed is not good". The mattress sank 4 inches so not usable. We had to go elsewhere. Prateek Gurung at the front desk was very helpful and apologetic.
I trust Expedia will grant us a refund.

Old hotel, difficult to reach, no heating in the toilet, hot water is not enough for shower

Pros:
Close to M25
Friendly staff
Relatively clean
Cons:
No working WiFi in the room
TV is a smart TV, so no WiFi = no working TV
Lock on door didn't work - had to use door chain
Really cheap toiletries and loo paper
Shabby, sad rooms
OYO is a dodgy company - I first booked via their own website which changed the dates after booking; I've cancelled but have not yet been refunded

This hotel was run down. TV not working, bedside lights broken, no food available when we arrived to book in. Noisy and the rear of hotel a rubbish tip. In the car park small co2 cartridges laying around, one under one of my car tyres.

The facilities have undergone a significant upgrade since the OYO management has been put in place.

I thought I got a good deal for the price. The staff were friendly. The room was perfectly adequate. I slept well. The hotel was perfectly situated for walking the North downs way

TV didn’t work, WiFi was unusable and room was very dated with broken items throughout.
