The Prairon Cable Car is 130 meters away, making the chalet a convenient option for a ski break or for hiking in the summer months. The town of Les Houches has much to offer visitors of all ages: mountain biking, mountaineering, white water rafting, tennis courts, swimming pools and, for even more excitement, there is the Addicted Adventure Park (11 minutes). For self-catering, there are many supermarkets and smaller shops selling local specialities. The weekly market (Wednesday afternoon) at Le Pain du Chibon, Les Houches (8 minutes) allows visitors to buy directly from producers. The nearest station for the Mont Blanc Express is Viaduc Sainte Marie (2 minutes drive), for an efficient rail service throughout the Chamonix Valley area, so visitors can easily explore the rest of the region, all the way up to Mont Blanc. Central Chamonix is just 15 minutes’ drive away. Geneva airport is 1 hour and 5 minutes away by car.
