About this bed and breakfast

Summary: Set in the heart of Historic Old Roseville, or as we like to say, “the best neighborhood in Roseville” this studio cottage is full of whimsical charm! The Nest is a warm and inviting private studio set in a friendly historic neighborhood. Immaculately clean, layered with soft and lush bedding, stylish touches and all the amenities to make you feel like you are on vacation, but also right at home. We celebrate diversity and hope to create a safe inclusive space for all travelers to relax. The Space: The Nest features a top quality queen mattress, soft memory foam topper, luxurious linens, layers of soft lush bedding and oh so many comfortable pillows! The bed is cushy and soft, so you might just melt into it and never want to leave. You will also enjoy the private bathroom with a pristine newly grouted standing shower stall and stocked with all the amenities you need to feel right at home. The beautifully curated sitting area offers gorgeous artwork, a comfortable plush couch, swivel chair for perfect TV viewing, vintage armoire for clothing storage, stocked bookshelves, record player with albums for you to enjoy as well as a smart TV that can be viewed from the comfort of the bed, sitting area or dining area. The smart TV has access for you to log in to your account with most of the popular streaming services. The sweet kitchen is filled with inviting personal touches, and all the tools you might need to prepare anything from your morning coffee to a cozy dinner for two. The dining area just off the kitchen with its beautifully handmade table is the perfect spot to enjoy that morning coffee, dinner for two or to use as a workspace. The Nest features the highest speed Wifi available in Roseville so you feel confident that you will be well connected for your work or streaming needs. We also have equipped the Nest with its own heating and cooling unit available for you to set at comfortable levels for you during your stay. It is not an ultra quiet unit, so there is some background white noise when operating. We do have a sleep sound machine and ear plugs to help you sleep better as well. Just inside the front entrance you will find our Welcome station. Here you will see your WIFI login info, guestbook, a quick easy guide with our contact information as well as our recommendations for things to do and places to see. In the drawers below we have stocked some fun games and puzzles for you to enjoy as well. We want you to feel at home so please feel free to open any unlocked drawers and cabinets and utilize anything you find there. Please just be kind and place things back where you found them for the next guests to use. We value quality and want our guests to feel cared for, therefore we provide quality high end products throughout our home to make your stay feel both luxurious and comfortable. Our goal is to provide you with an experience similar to what we would expect and appreciate when we travel. The Nest is a sweet little spot that is clean, safe, conveniently located and inviting. We hope you feel right at home here! Guest Access: The Nest has a separate dedicated entrance from the main house no shared spaces. Access to The Nest is off a SIDE STREET, adjacent to an alley, not the main street in the property address. It is important to be aware of this as your navigation will take you to the main house. Please respect our neighbors' privacy and DO NOT CONTACT THE RESIDENTS IN THE MAIN HOUSE. Guests will park on the side street directly in front of the entrance to the Nest for easy loading and unloading. The Nest is located just past the ALLEY, the yellow fire hydrant and before the large lemon tree. Look for the sign next to the entrance door that says ” Welcome to The Nest". There are a few steps leading up to the Nest from the sidewalk. Please do not park in the alley at any time, near the entrance to the front main house, or on the street listed in the property address. Only the residents in the MAIN HOUSE, NOT THE NEST, have access to the private backyard, please do not try to enter the backyard at any time. The Nest features a small outdoor sitting area at the entrance to the guest house but no access to the backyard. Inside The Nest, just off the bedroom area you will see double french doors with frosted privacy glass. These doors will remain locked with a keyed deadbolt and are not available to be opened at any time by guests as they lead to the private backyard of the main house. The Nest features windows in the sitting, dining and kitchen areas that provide lots of fresh air. Although there are a few steps up to the entrance from the sidewalk The Nest is a one story studio without indoor stairs. Worth noting for safety, between the dining area & bathroom, there is a very small step down into the sitting and bedroom area. Because the elevation change is so small it is important to be aware of it and take care. We have placed a low bookshelf there to act as both a room divider and reminder of this small step for your safety. The Neighborhood: Tucked away along tree-lined streets, historic homes, walking distance to Downtown and Old Historic Roseville featuring small business shops, restaurants and nightlife, nearby parks and creekside biking/walking trails, all making this location a real gem. The Nest is located in the most convenient and centralized location in Roseville. In our opinion some of the best features that are within walking distance include: Trader Joes Miner’s Ravine creekside biking/walking trail Royer Park- hosting Music in The Park during the summer months and much more Lincoln Estates Park- featuring the famous but sort of secret Roseville treasure- “the concrete slides” Downtown Roseville/ Vernon Street- tons of local small business shops, coffee shops, live music, on-stage theater productions, art galleries, restaurants and nightlife. In the summer Vernon Street is the home to Downtown Tuesday Nights, and Wine Down Wednesdays as well as local car shows, outdoor movies and tons of other city sponsored activities and events. Historic Old Town Roseville- just across the tracks, Old Town offers even more dining, entertainment and nightlife activities. Just minutes away in the surrounding Roseville areas are lots of local attractions including: Galleria Mall The Fountains outdoor shopping and dining The Grounds Event Center Top Golf Sunsplash and Golfland family fun center Roseville Aquatic Center Quarry Park Adventures Thunder Valley Casino and Amphitheater Folsom Lake State Recreation Area Several local Golf Courses Additionally we are only an easy 5 minute drive from Sutter and Kaiser Roseville hospitals. Interaction with Guests: We live nearby and are available to you by phone, email or text.
