Come stay at my Blue Sky Escapes Maui Vacation home! Located in sunny south Maui the home is a beautiful, remodeled ocean view home with private pool swimming pool. This property is extremely private with no other rentals on property located in Maui Meadows a hillside development overlooking Wailea and the south Maui coastline. There are amazing views from almost all rooms in the house and the wrap around covered deck is perfect for indoor/outdoor style island living. Several beautiful white sand beaches are a short five minute drive away. This home is one of five legal private home rentals in the desired island neighborhood of Maui Meadows. We passed all county regulations and now can share our lovely property with visitors to this special island we call home (Permit #STKM 2013/0004). There are no other buildings on our 1/2 acre land - the private use of our 3 bedroom, 2 bath fully renovated home and pool makes for a memorable vacation. We are a short drive to the beach, several restaurants and shopping. Children must always have adult supervision by the pool. QUIET HOURS ARE FROM 9PM-8AM: Quiet Hours are a County requirement for licensed vacation rental homes like this one. The SUNNY SOUTH MAUI VACATION HOME is located in a residential neighborhood and guests must be aware and respectful of neighboring properties. Please be sure that ALL the members of your group are aware of the quiet hours. We want you to have a fantastic and relaxing time on Maui- we promise we won't impose many rules on you, but we respectfully ask that guests abide by the quiet hours. GROUP GATHERING RESTRICTIONS: Only registered guests are allowed on property. No wedding parties or large family gatherings allowed.

The most important thing: the photos do not do the ocean view justice. It’s better in person. We spent 3/5 evenings here watching the amazing sunset from the upper lanai. Spectacular! And the pool area and lanais were wonderful. This is a nice, large, deep pool. A small shallow area, for future travelers with kids, I’d keep a very close watch on them. We did not use the hot tub because it’s not our thing, but I’m certain anyone would enjoy it. We also enjoyed taking a pre-bedtime dip, as the pool has a light, and there are outdoor lights as well. The neighborhood is amazingly quiet. We barely heard a peep- except from the birds! Listening to the birds every morning and every dusk was truly magical! I recommend the Merlin Bird ID app to ID what kind of birds come from their sounds. The yard and pool area are so private and surrounded by beautiful plants and flowers. The home was spacious and had everything needed. Beds are very soft, but to us, this was very comfortable! Lots of towels, sheets, pool and beach stuff was available for use. I was a little confused about the garbage system as well as how to put the lock box back on, but communication was great from the owners. The property is in a beautiful neighborhood, we always enjoyed driving through it from the main road. Renting a car is a must, but everything is pretty close. Nearest large grocery store is about 8 minutes away. Beaches are also very close by. A truly great stay, we’ll be back!

We were very excited to bring our grandkids to Maui. From the pictures, the house had everything we needed and more - lots of space, pool, hot tub and fantastic view. Sadly our first impression was not good. On opening the door the house smelled musty. This aroma did dissipate after the AC and fans were activated so it may just have been closed up for a couple of days. This was a lovely property but be aware that it is older and some things are wearing out. Some additional care could be taken with cleaning bedrooms, but all heavily used surfaces - kitchen, bathrooms, tables, wood floors, etc. were nice and clean. A little maintenance is due with appliances, outdoor furniture, and some of the beach gear could do with updating. Everything we needed was there, just a little worn. The lovely private pool was a huge hit with 9 and 10 year olds, and older folk, too. The location was perfect - Safeway, ABC store, restaurants, shopping and many beautiful beaches with decent parking were less than 10 minutes away, while being up on the hill to catch the breeze. And the outdoor shower to clean off beach sand after beach visits was a huge plus for us and for keeping the house sand free. Host was very responsive when we thought we'd run out of gas for the grill, and told us where to find the back up tank quickly. Most of all the space and view make this a great spot for a family vacation and we had a wonderful time.

This home is exactly what we needed! We arrived a few days early before a family reunion to get our kiddos adjusted to Maui time. We loved everything about this home - the pool, the location, the banana trees! The gardeners came the day we arrived and cut down a bunch of bananas - our kids were in heaven! The location is amazing and the neighborhood is so quiet and well kept! The views are stunning. You really feel like you’re in your own little world. Even after our family reunion (at the Four Seasons in Wailea), some of our fondest memories were from this home! Can’t wait to come back!

The house and amenities were exactly as stated/exceeded our expectations. We were a family of 4 adults and 2 children 12 & 16 yrs old, lots of space for gathering as a group & separate space for solo time. The pool/spa was a plus for our granddaughters & they also enjoyed the window seat for quiet reading. We had a friend of our daughters on island that provided us with awesome beaches to enjoy and restaurants. We will defiantly return to enjoy more family island memories! Tamara was very responsive to any questions we had.

Our family of 5 came to Hawaii to celebrate our 30th anniversary. It was our 1st time visiting the islands. We loved staying here & would definitely stay here again if we come back. House looked just like pics & the amenities were plentiful, the water was hot & strong & the beds were super comfy. The pool & hot tub were great & we loved lounging in the hammock & reading nook at night. And the views from the house & decks are amazing!!! Listening to the birds & chickens & roosters outside was so relaxing. The house is centrally located to all the things we wanted to do & the neighborhood is very quiet & we felt safe. Communication with Tamara was easy.

This home is in the perfect location..it’s absolutly beautiful and very quiet. Everything is easy to get to. Grocery Store is a 5 minute drive. Beach access about the same. There are two beaches Charley’s beach is calmer, the secret beach has higher waves..both are beautiful.. if you want to see the sun rise Haleakala crater please find out how to make reservations and the drive from check in is $30 and takes to the top is an additional 20 minutes. If I come back again I’d pick the same home!. A most memorable vacation!

We had a wonderful time at Tamara and Steve’s home in Kihei. Situated up the hill in a very peaceful neighborhood, this gem of a home was the perfect retreat for our family for the week. Kitchen and bathrooms have been nicely updated, and the view absolutely can not be beat. We would love to stay again the next time we are in Maui! Thanks!!!

We enjoyed a two week stay at this lovely home in a quiet, safe neighborhood. We were close to all amenities in Wailea, and a quick drive to many beautiful beaches. We really appreciated the beach chairs, umbrellas, and snorkelling equipment, and our young men really enjoyed the pool table in the evenings. Super quick responses from the home owners.

I truly enjoyed my two-week stay. This home is lovely, spacious, and private. There were plenty of rooms and nooks for our crew to have privacy when we wanted it, and great spaces for the group. And you can't beat the view!!

We loved this home base for our 12 day stay in Maui. The location is great to see all the popular sites on the island. We took several down days to just hand out at the house. The pool and deck were great. The kitchen and living spaces were comfortable and allowed us to spread out and cook at home when we weren't eating at the great restaurants and food trucks.
We never got tired of THAT VIEW! So amazing.
For our family, having a space away from the busy resort area was important for us to be comfortable on vacation and this house fit that requirement 100%.

We enjoyed a fantastic week at this beautiful home. The house is even more beautiful in person than in the pictures -- the pool, in particular, is large, well-maintained, and the perfect temperature. The home is well-appointed with everything you might need, very private, but very close to all the best beaches. We hope to return soon!

This house was perfectly livable! Amenities are neat and clean, all in working order, great for families with kids or aged relatives.
I would recommend anyone to stay in this place desiring a low key , quieter neighborhood for a relaxing experience on Maui.

Upon arriving the host was present and had to come into the house several times addressing several items that were not working. A/C, fans are completely off on arrival so house temp was hot and took a while to get comfortable. The slider door to deck did not lock so we were concerned about security. Host said she fixed it but still did not work. Kitchen garbage can was broken, master toilet seat has magnets and moves when sit on it, master slider drapes did not cover the whole slider door, main shower had a strong leak, balls fell thru pockets to floor of pool table and you have to go outside of house on driveway to use an external dryer. The house dryer was broken. The owners do not keep up on this property for the $7k+ we paid for the week. We expected more than a fixer upper and it did distract from enjoying this property. The host would not compensate or refund us any for these inconveniences we experienced. Views were amazing and we enjoyed the location/neighborhood, pool & jacuzzi. We would love to return if owners took care of items upon arrival.
