Very poor

Many problems with the rooms (air conditionning didn't work in our 2 differents rooms, sheets missing,...) : no apologizes from the staff and no discount

Nice stay

Spacious room with 2 double beds. Clean. Shared kitchen and fridge to use. Space on upper floor to have a simple but nice breakfast. Nicely decorated, with view on the street. A faucet to wash your sandy feet when you come from the beach, before you enter your room. It's just outside the busy part of town, which makes it quiet. But a longer way to walk. The main road is a long street with restaurants, pubs and shops.

Curtains are light /thin. Street light shines through.

Nice helpful staff, good location in the center of Jaco. Clean.

More flexibility with the breakfast would be nice. Both the selection and also the time. To only serve breakfast between 8 and 9 am doesnt fit for everyone. Between 7 and 10 would be more normal.

Comfortable place

Facilities were fine, including breakfast. Staff is helpful as well and laundry available.

Jaco is nothing special. Although good base to visit national parc (bus on main road) close by to see red macaws ;)

very clean, large spacious rooms and delicious breakfast. Short walk from the beach and centre of town. exceptional staff very helpful and friendly

Parking space needed, the access closer to rooms less bumpy, warm water, and fresh an clean smell

Breakfast fair, nice terrace to go up at night, personal most of them friendly

The access to the building pretty complicated, no private parking , only the main street and sometimes across the street , no warm water, bathrooms had a bad smell

Bed was comfortable.

Our room smelled musty. I set my backpack on the floor & a couple of hours later it was covered with ants. I had left trail mix in the backpack. Floor was dirty, refrigerator in common area hadn't been cleaned out in weeks, bathroom hot water in sink did not work. We left & found another place down the street for slightly more money and 💯 better. It looks like they were doing some remodeling downstairs, so maybe improvements will be made. It definitely needs it.

Great stay

Breakfast was excellent. Dorm room was clean. The common area is a really nice place to sit and get some work done. Rooms were nice and cool. Lockers had actual keys to them and were pretty large too!

Avoid if you enjoy a good nights rest on holiday

This property advertises itself as a hotel, but it is a hostel at best. It was impossible to get a good nights rest. Construction work in the basement woke us up every morning at 7am. Then there are the drunken teenagers screaming to each other down the corridors as they return from the clubs at 3am. Then trying to eat your breakfast with the strong smell of pot wafting throughout the dining area and the staff ignoring it. The double room is beyond basic. No bench to place luggage on. No clothes rack to hang clothes. Not even a hook to hang a towel. When the management were questioned about not informing us about the ongoing construction before our 6 night stay (we would’ve cancelled if told), we got no reply. As a hostel for young kids, would be okay. But if advertising as a hotel, much improvement is needed.

the location is excellent, good traditional breakfast included, the air conditioner save us and the iguana in our window

the location is excellent, nice staff, and the air conditioner is awesome, traditional breakfast included. we saw a iguana in our window, we love it.

they are doing some work in the reception and was pretty noisy at night late and early in the morning, we found many bugs in the bathroom.

Hostel good, company not so much

It had A.C. and a good location. I'd say fairly good value for money.

I know it's not really the hostels mistake, but I was the only woman in a room with 4 men, of whom 2 50+ and the older guys were in the bed next and below me. It made me very uncomfortable as they were noisy, and walking with bare chest. I'd rather have them put me in a room with at least another woman.

Shared kitchen is a joke. No water for guests to drink. Fridge was disgusting and filled with rotting food.
