Ok little Inn

Rooms are quiet and have either a balcony or outdoor space right out your door with picnic tables and it's fascinating to watch the massive ships going through the lock system. AC worked well at cooling our room and there were lots of clean towels available in our room. Things are dated but it didn't affect the experience. The room was large enough for us to easily set up a playpen and not feel like it was in the way at all.

The beds are old and not very comfortable (springs) and the electrical sockets are not placed in convenient areas so if you rely on a plug I would suggest bringing an extension cord with you.

Very good

The location next to lock seven is an interesting back ground while spending time at your roo.

The acces to the room was not what is usually found. The door did not close by itself and the door was a bit stiff when going in.

Modest facility with great location and good price.

Great location right on Lock 7. Very close to downtown Thorold and Niagara on the Lake. The room was clean and they gave us early check in.

We knew going in that this was a modest hotel. The rooms are dated and the beds should be upgraded to queen size. It needs a makeover

Disappointing

the person how was at the front desk was nice and welciming

the noise of the ships. It is not super loud but a low rumble for most of the night. I barely slept. The little sleep I did was interrupted when the room alarm went off at midnight. Also, I wish there was a microwave in the room for heating water and defrosting my frozen sandwich. The fridge was set so high that the sandwich I put in it froze.

It was great place to stay and hope to come back again.

I really enjoyed watching the ships come through Lock 7. It was truly entertainment just watching them come and go. We came here to walk the Bruce Trail and after a day of walking, sitting on the balcony was the best.

I wish there were heavier blankets on the bed.

Overall this was a great stay for a couple with interesting view of ships going through locks.

Location was great with being able to view the locks right from Balcony. Also close to Niagara on the Lake and other area's that are fun to drive around. Beds were comfy.

A little dated. Should seperate fan in bathroom from light as it is noisy.

Such a treat!

They accommodated our request to have a view of the lake, we had an amazing view of the locks, check-in process quick and smooth, room was decent. Location amazing! Right next to Lock 7, bike/walk trail, walking distance to restaurants. Recommended!

The mattresses should be upgraded. They were hard and looked to be 20 years old.Also bar fridge was old and very noisy.

Very nice people. Nice quiet neighbourhood. Very cool to see the locks. Needs a few upgrades.

Quiet area

Wifi doesn’t work on iPhones. They have had this issue before but have not sought a solution. The towels were very small and thin.

We enjoyed our stay watching the ships go by.

The location is perfect to sit on the balcony and watch the ships go through the lock.

While the room was clean, the carpeting was smelly and the Air Conditioner sounded like a transport truck idling in the room with you and could hardly keep the room cool.

The cost is a little steep for what you get, but the location is wonderful,and the owners solicitous

Not doing breakfast due to Covid. Otherwise, it was as usual - we try to visit each year. The owner is thoughtful & helpful - we had a beeping smoke alarm at odd intervals, he came and changed the batteries right away. The building could use some updates,which of course is hardly possible during a pandemic, with business slack. A microwave in the room would have been appreciated. We come for the Canal & the shipping - it never disappoints! It is always scrupulously clean,too.

Could have used a microwave - dining out all the time gets tiresome. Otherwise, we were very comfortable & had a great view.

A great spot if you enjoy watching ships on the Welland Canal

Great location on the Welland Canal with easy walk to Thorold restaurants.

Unfortunately no breakfast available. Neither of the two recommended cafes were open for breakfast at 8:00 am on Monday morning. We had to walk quite a distance to Tim Hortons to get breakfast.
