I liked that I could walk to the Sleeman centre for our event from this location
Garbage wasn’t changed in the room when we arrived so the room smelt as there were old yogurt containers in it. There is a bus terminal right outside so you heard busses and trains, speaker announcements and loud people for a good portion of the night.

Secure entrance. Quiet.
The bathroom was not clean there was calcium build up everywhere in the bathroom. Couldn't use the bathroom in room. Had to use the washroom in the forier.

We liked nothing about this place. Located in a high population of homeless. Parking for maybe 20 cars. Rooms were musty, poorly decorated, main lobby very sketchy. We were told to stop laughing in our rooms at 4:00pm. Air conditioning was very loud. Wallpaper coming off the walls. Breakfast was stale croissants, and muffins, bread and bagels. Coffee was so bad we could not drink it, and we are campers (that’s terrible coffee).
Would never recommend anyone book this hotel.

walkable to restaurants, large room
location is sketchy - property is near the bus station and there are lots of homeless people. the property is very tired and worn - perhaps once upon a time was quite nice. our first room had water stains and sticky linoleum floor, we asked and we were moved to a different room. that room was fine. when checked out was told to wait in lobby while the desk clerk inspected our room for damage - very weird! was very pricy for what you got, only one employee seen during stay.

I forgot my pillow and called them and they found it and put it aside until I can pick it up.

Friendly, clean, downtown.
Cold! room! Not enough blankets. Very poor breakfast. No wholegrain bread. No cold water out. No butter. Little choice. Large security deposit.

We never tried the breakfast. Not even sure where it was offered.
Staff was most attentive, helpful, and friendly.
First morning, shower would not work. It was fixed later that day. Uber and taxi both delivered us to BACK entrance—which was locked. On Sunday morning, we were awakened a bit early by construction or repair on the property/room next door.

That it's walkable to train station and restaurants and bank and Mt appointment
Breakfast that has not eggs

Only the location.
The breakfast was terrible. Stale croissants, cereal, no hot selections at all. I don’t even think there was a toaster. The room was dilapidated, with stains on the walls, broken lights…and the price?! More expensive than other hotels, despite largely vacant.
Who runs the place, I wonder? Seems like nobody.

I have no complaints. Yes, the building is older, but it's clean and you can't beat the girls at the front desk. They helped me navigate transit and answered all my questions. It was perfect for what I needed, and I will be back.

Could use a major facelift to make it a quaint hotel to match its timeless exterior. Taps were old etc. also needs to be marketed better to the business traveller
Needs updating while keeping the charm of an old hotel

it’s in a great location, close to lots of restaurants and bars. entrance way is nicely done.
the door didn’t lock right. there was masking tape above the doors. paint over the faucet, dingy, smelt strange. a covered hole in the adjoining wall, when we got off the elevator (that smelt of stale smoke.) the hallway smelt like sewage. we felt not entirely safe in the room and were unsure of the cleanliness, not wanting to put our bags down or utilize the shower. it got to the point I almost just lost my money and left, however could not find another hotel with rooms.

Location
The $200.00 deposit doesn't return to my
card after we check-out. They reason out that they had a problem into their pay machine . Nobody answers the receptionist phone

Room was near the elevator, clean, included fridge, microwave. Staff was friendly and helpful.
The bed was uncomfortable, and while billed as a queen, was more likely a double. Breakfast was beyond awful, and certainly not worth the $10 each we paid for it: Eggs were cold, obviously a bunch of scrambled eggs made early and not kept warm. Ditto the sausauges. Toast might have actually been in a toaster, but as it was cold and white, maybe not. The selection of fruit was passable, the orange juice was pale and thin. My devices couldn't get on the internet using the wifi, but that could also be their peculiarity, not the hotel wifi. All in all, not a $200 a night hotel.

Cheap, downtown and available
City noise but air conditioner drowned out the noise.
