It was descent place to stay
No restaurant inside

Nothing
It smelled, the mattress was 4”, the bed sat close to the floor, the curtains wouldn’t close. The floor was filthy, stained. Toilet didn’t flush properly. No water pressure I sink/shower. This place did not look like pictures. I’ve traveled for work my entire life and this was by far the worst place I’ve ever stayed.

I booked a king suite but was told they didn’t have any. So instead they gave me a queen next to the elevator that smelled like a smokers room.

No free breakfast like last time

The building had character. The price attracted me online.
Facilities need big time upgrades. New beds, bathroom upgrades, carpeting was very worn.
9.0
The entire room was clean and comfortable!!
The back door to the parking lot was locked, it would have been easier to use that door being handicapped.
4.0
The ambience was on point.
The cleanliness left a lot to be desired.
8.0
Friendly staff.
Somel of the outlets in the room were missing their protective plastic covers, posing a potential safety hazard that should be addressed. Additionally, the inclusion of at least one USB plug-in for guest convenience would be greatly appreciated

Too much traffic noise, but otherwise a nice stay.

location was perfect. The lobby was beautiful.
The room had carpet with stains and mold in the shower. The restaurant in the hotel was permanently closed and for sale.
They had a community spoon to stir the coffee!

Location, comfortable bed and linens
It was understaffed. Available personnel were working double-time (cheerfully, I might add).

The breakfast was childish, I was given somebody else room 2x. I had to keep my belongings in my car due to the fact that I was scared someone was going to be given a key to my room while I was gone or sleep.
The staff needs to communicate with each other at change of shift because someone did not have things in order nor organized. I was given a room key to someone else's room, 2x

The location of the hotel was perfect.
The water pressure in the shower was weak.

glenda at front desk lovely and works hard to make customers happy
room was dingy; bedding stained; housekeeping never came.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The breakfast was simple (choices: cereal, instant oatmeal, microwaveable biscuit sandwich, yogurt, hardboiled egg, fruit, packaged pastry, juice) but good.
The door to the room was misaligned and required a forceful push to closed. I didn't like that the shower didn't have a curtain, but a clear wall covered half the shower space. The appearance of the bed was okay.

Breakfast was great. Friendly service. The room was nice, it was quiet and I didn't hear any outside noise.
The mattress was a little worn on one side but I just slept on the other side and it was perfectly fine.

The staff was warm and caring. The lobby with its library motif was the best hotel facility I have ever seen.
My reservation somehow didn’t get input into their system. I showed my clerk my email showing it had been confirmed, but she couldn’t find it. I did get a room, however.
My room wasn’t quite what I expected. I liked the exposed brick wall and the modernist sink, but that was about it. At first I thought it was cool that the small refrigerator had a freezer. But when I went to put leftovers in the refrigerator, there was very little room to do so. I think there wouldn’t have been an issue if it had been just a refrigerator. There was a space to hang items, but I was too short to reach the hangers.
My lack of height also made things difficult in the bathroom. The shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel dispensers were barely low enough for me to reach. The bath towels were on a shelf that was hard to reach. There also was a cotton bath mat and a rubberized safety mat on top of the bath towels. It was easier just to use a hand towel. But I probably should have put the safety mat outside of the shower because I almost fell on the tile after I took a shower.
The shower itself deserves its own paragraph. It was the smallest shower I have ever seen in a hotel. I weigh 140 pounds, and I had only four inches of clearance on either side of me getting out of the shower.
Finally, I was expecting to be able to have a river view from my room. I had an incredible view of the parking lot. I did venture out to see if I could view the river elsewhere, but I had no luck with that. Even if I had been on the side of the hotel facing the river, would have had to been on one of the top floors to get a view.

it has a lot of character
it was getting remodeled so there were many amenities that were not available.

housekeeping left pillows on chair without cases and just generally beat up place. no restaurant and to go bfast to pick up at desk required heating oatmeal in stir o foam bowls in microwave in lobby or bfast sand in lobby. coffee out, remaining decaf Luke warm

I didn’t stay at the property
it was dirty and smelled
6.0
The proximity to the Civic Center.
Freezing cold hallways, outside noise, dirty carpets.

Classic ambiance with lobby lined with classic readings giving it an old world charm. Tevin was exemplary as our host at the desk.
Hotel has a bit of a musty odor. While rooms are clean they are in need of updated carpet, mattresses, and bathroom amenities. It felt dated not due to style of building... just old.

The staff was super friendly and the overall ambience of the hotel good. I liked the room overall as well. They had a nice order your breakfast night before as part of the room price. Due to timing we did not participate in that but would have been great had timing worked out just a bit different.
The bed was really pretty hard. My wife struggled to sleep soundly in it, and I flat failed to sleep well. I think it was a nice bed once and simply too old, perhaps it was just a cheap/hard bed. Uncertain.
