The rooms were clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfasts that were provided were good.
The hotel is old but has been remodeled. I had a large gap on the bottom left side of my entry door that I had to seal up with a towel. We had adjoining rooms and once we were able to open the doors one of them could no longer be closed due to the door frame being out of square. I had problems with my key card not working on three occasions but the staff quickly corrected the problem.

The lady at the front desk, Carla was extremely courteous to us and very helpful throughout our stay
The facility was subpar and not one time did a cleaning housekeeper come to our room. We had to ask for towels and soap everyday.

Recently remodeled and well worth staying here. We read the reviews and fortunately, we gave the Baymont a try. The reviews were bad. Well, they have been renovating. We actually spoke with a construction guy who told us they've re-done 200 rooms. Our room was clean, newly remodeled: coolest lighted mirror over vanity. Floors, walls, shower area were all very nicely done. Refrigerator was larger than most. The breakfast actually had hot food (eggs and sausage). Great value in a quaint town. Very close to the northern entrance to Shenandoah National Park

Lift wasn’t operational, TV didn’t work and we rang the front desk and they didn’t send anyone, major renovations being conducted and we weren’t notified. Listened to banging on the wall most of the afternoon, no smoke alarm in one of our rooms, leaking tap, faulty chair, chain lock on both door broken, sleep out bed legs didn’t touch the floor properly, and on a major slant, roll out bed wasn’t made, internal phone didn’t work, heater was extremely loud, exposed screws on the floor joins. An absolute dump. Manager agreed to refund 50% then didn’t do it and won’t respond to further calls.

I did not partake in breakfast although the times were clearly explained. The Staff was very friendly and was sure to provide wifi password and invited me to call them for any problems.
I did not request a seat in the tub for assistive reasons, yet there was one present. Also the bathroom had the distinct smell of pet urine, in which my nose is extremely sensitive. It was so bad that I opted not to shower and I really could have used a shower.

The Location was fabulous
The Property was operated by friendly, Indian Staff. However, they spoke broken, nearly untilllegible, english. To make matters worse, I, was held at the front desk for an extended period, while an older Indian person, was being trained. Geeesh!! The property was old and well-worn. And they did not offer any water, free-of-charge.

Can't comment on breakfast as a whole. Manager had a small selection of items (average quality) delivered to our 2nd floor room because the elevator was broken and an elderly traveler in our group could not make multiple trips on the stairs
Broken elevator and unable to be relocated to 1st floor room. Staff did help with bags, breakfast so our elderly traveler could avoid multiple stairs. It was still quite difficult. Room was dirty/smelly. No coffee pot, bad coffee "bags", no tea.

The staff was great and friendly. The beds were clean and comfortable.
The floors were dirty, the shower curtain was not clean. The shower head was covered in hard water crust and very little water came out.

the price was decent
upon arrival we checked into our room and it smelled like cigarette smoke, there was ants crawling on one of the beds, and flys in our room, toilet was not sanitized as there was pee on the seat. just filthy. needs major upgrading and better cleaning crew

The location to Main Street
The noise. could hear every movement from the floor above and every night there were people partying in the parking lot outside of our room. The pool was unkept. The tub looked as if it was about to fall apart but it did work. The hallways were unkept and pretty gross but the room was clean. I’m pretty sure someone urinated by the door to the stairs. The bed was uncomfortable.

Shower water was hot and had good pressure. The bed was quite comfortable.
Water dripping from roof in some areas of hotel. Laundry often wet and slippery. Pictures look nothing like the hotel. Only 1 washing machine working. Mouldy apple jam at breakfast. Hot water for cup of tea was barely luke warm one had, and cold the next. One day no eggs at all. Breakfast selection quite poor. Lots of trip hazards, elevator not working. Some rooms on top floor missing doors. No tea and coffee facilities in the room.

The overhead covering over all the entrances to the rooms was nice, since we came in the rain, so was protected from the elements.
They provided a kitchenette area, but didn't provide any kitchenware to use with it. No pots and pans, or utensils, etc. Also, we didn't have a coffee maker and when we asked for one, it took a very long time to receive it.

Beat up older hotel, they tried to spruce it up, but it needs renovation. Room was clean.
Best thing was the mattress. People were fine. but the place needs work.

The hotel is located near the historic downtown which is a plus. The staff is friendly.
The room is old and filthy, especially the floor seems like it was last clean many months ago. the bathroom door doesn't close and the towel rod was on the floor. The breakfast will turn off your appetite after your first bite.

Easy access, clean
Had to go to office 4 times because TV wasn’t working. The phone did not work. They gave me a remote three different times. Did not send anyone to room. They said no tech available. The issue after going to sleep and checking next morning, was the cable was not connected to tv. The cable would not reach. So someone knew tv did not work. There was no trash can in room, or bathroom.
