We had a pleasant stay at this Bed & Breakfast. The Adirondack Room was large and comfortable. The bed sheets were the softest we have ever felt! We loved them! The fireplace in the room was perfect and beautiful. The jetted tub was perfect for two. Breakfast was a plated meal and excellent. The owners dog was super cute with a sweet personality. He was love at first sight! đź’•

The outside exterior was beautiful, as were the gardens surrounding it. it was located in a scenic, charming area in northern Vermont. My bed was very comfortable.
There was no one to carry our luggage into the inn,& worse, no one to help us drag it up a steep flight of stairs. The breakfast included was an insult: 1 sliced strawberry, 1 thin orange slice, 1 coddled egg on top of a wisp of burned kale or spinach, & a slice of homemade banana bread, which I couldn’t eat because I can’t eat very sweet items in the morning.. There were: no baskets of rolls or toast or butter or choice of eggs or cereal or pancakes or bacon or sausage. After we departed, we drove into Vergennes to eat a real breakfast. Also the quality (and minuscule size) of the free toiletries was very poor.

The Adirondack room was very spacious, with a whirlpool tub for two. The room itself had a very woodsy charm. Breakfast was great! The site said a "country" breakfast was provided, first morning we had eggs Benedict, a very pleasant surprise. We slipped the other breakfasts for just coffee in our room. Location was just out of town, close enough for a very short drive to excellent eateries. The fireplace was incredible.
The bed was a bit too firm, but that's a minor issue. It was hard to regulate the temperature in the room, however, we also had very cold temperatures and wind chills during our stay. Lastly, air circulation was fair, despite a heating and cooling unit with a fan being in the room. Again, cold temps prevented any windows being open. So, the only real knock was the bed, but that's individual preference.

Breakfast. I am not sure what we had . Some sort of egg dish on top of a tomato. Did not look appealing at all.

The inn is a beautifully kept 1834 home with lots of wonderful antiques and character. Amy and DJ are most gracious hosts who truly enjoy catering to their guests. My wife and I were most happy with our two day stay there.

Amy and DJ were attentive and very personable. It was like staying with old friends. The house and grounds were beautiful and the room and bed was very comfortable. Breakfasts were excellent. We'll certainly stay again.

Breakfast was excellent. The food was well-prepared and filling. The location was very good. We wanted to hike, and it was close to the trailheads. It was also not far from Middlebury.

The room was clean and smelled clean. The bedding was nice. They had a tv in room. The soap in bathroom was a nice lavender soap. The shower worked well. The overall inn was well taken care of. Breakfast was very good. Served in a very good timely matter even with other guests. Check in was good and cheerful. It lives up to Booking. com standards!
The internet wasn’t strong enough to support the Roku that they used for tv service instead of cable tv.

Owners are very friendly and accommodating. Food is excellent. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. I stayed in the new house, so very modern. The original 1820's house is beautiful; wonderful antiques; extremely well maintained.

I highly recommend this place for anyone traveling to Vergennes, VT or towns near it . It is not opulent but it has an old- fashioned elegance which I really love. It is also very clean and well- sanitized. The location is perfect, it’s quiet and scenic like you can see the silouhette of the Green Mountain ranges from afar yet it is just a few miles away from downtown Vergennes and accessible to splendid local restaurants and artisan shops. (When in town, dont miss out to try Lulu- they make artisan ice cream with superb flavors and quality. )
Going back on Strong Inn House, the staff I talked to is accommodating and polite, parking is not a problem. Overall, I would highly recommend the place to anyone who is planning a trip or a weekend getaway to Vergennes, VT.
