About this cottage rental
Rustic country house, with a private garden and orchard, very pleasant and great for relaxing, among nature and with views for mountains. Located in the beautiful and touristic small town of Furnas, it is very well located, close to Boilers, Terra Nostra Garden and other attractions. The house is spacious and has capacity for 7 guests. The price is fixed for up to 2 guests, plus a fee of €25 for each extra guest (please see table). It is excellent accommodation for families with children or groups of friends. Accommodation features: Exterior: barbecue, porch, garden furniture, fire pit, gazebo, parking for 2 cars, orchard and garden with 1,600 m2, with lawns, plants and flowers. Laundry room (washing machine and tumble dryer, iron and table ironing). Inside: 2 double bedrooms (one with the possibility of installing a cot), 1 bedroom with two single beds, plus 2 double beds (all with sheets and blankets). Two bathrooms with showers, hairdryers and towels. A complete kitchen with pantry, with fridge, stove and oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machines, electric kettle, pans, crockery, blender, toaster. Living room with TV, Internet/Wifi, air conditioning. Complete dinning room. Other information: Pets allowed. Local Accommodation (AL) verified. Languages: English, French, Spanish and Portuguese The surroundings: Furnas is a tourist parish, very picturesque, safe and peaceful, but equipped with essential establishments such as supermarkets, bakeries, butchers, fruit shops, restaurants, cafes, bars, pharmacy, bank (ATM), rent a car, among others. Villa Natura is close to shopping establishments, the church and fabulous parks and gardens, as well as the boilers, allowing you to travel on foot. Activities and attractions: Furnas is one of the most emblematic touristic and vacation spots on São Miguel island in the Azores — an archipelago considered the best green and adventure destination in Europe. The island of S. Miguel is considered by Forbes Magazine as the best island in the world! It is a paradisiacal parish, surrounded by mountains and very close to Praia do Fogo (beach with blue flag), in the coastal parish of Ribeira Quente (6 km). Within the town there are fabulous gardens and parks, the well-known boilers, hot water pools, hot springs and several restaurants serving the famous boiler stew. Near the parish there is a golf course (5 km) and a beautiful lagoon with numerous attractions (3 km). From Furnas you can take a wide variety of walks, hiking trails and observe unforgettable landscapes. Excellent for a relaxing and leisure holiday in contact with nature (countryside and sea).

Over the years we have rented numerous vacation properties in Europe and the US but Villa Natura ranks with the best. The hosts are very helpful and friendly; the property is top notch. Lovely garden; plenty of room for
four adults; comfortable beds; well-equiped kitchen; good showers and heat/AC; and spotlessly clean. Furnas proved to be a good location for walking around, basic shopping; and sight seeing. Especially notable are the Terra Nostra Gardens and hot springs and for dining, the Terra Nostra Hotel restaurant. For island sites we liked Villa Franco De Campo; Ribeira Quinte; Ribeira Grande; the Tea Plantation; and Mosterios and everywhere, the lush and beautiful scenery.

We had a great time in Furnas. Hiking, restaurants and hot springs. The home was perfect and cozy. So clean and well appointed. It had everything we needed. The beautiful yard was a bonus. So nice to sit outside. Suzanna was very responsive with excellent communication. Thanks for a lovely stay!

My 2nd time here. A lot of upgrades on the property in the last 4 years, new overhead awning, new outdoor furniture, new fire-pit, installed a clothing dryer. Property is amazing, clean and organized. Owners are always friendly and accommodating. I cannot wait to come back!

Perfectly located in Furnas. The house is spotless with every amenity for a wonderful stay. Near restaurants, groceries, caldeiras. A short walk or drive to visit Sao Miguel. A beautiful garden and patio to enjoy at any time of day. Laundry facilities a plus.
Our hosts Susana and Rui are wonderful, and were there to greet us.

This is a gem! Spacious house in the centre of town, walking distance from restaurants, groceries and main attractions in Furnas. Plenty of room for our family of four to spread out, cook meals and enjoy the garden. The views from the backyard are beautiful. We loved our time here!

Susana was truly a terrific host - warm, hospitable, she greeted us at her home, gave us a thorough introduction, and she remained available for questions and advice throughout our stay.
Her home is lovely - clean, charming, well-equipped, and Susana is clearly very attentive to needs of her guests. Wonderfully situated in Furnas to restaurants, shops, cafes, and natural sites. Private yard is truly beautiful and affords breathtaking views and many ways to relax and enjoy the outdoors.
We appreciated both the air conditioning and dehumidifier, mainly for humidity rather than excessive heat.
We support her plan to add a clothes dryer to the existing washing machine for laundry - between the near-daily spurts of drizzle/rain, plus the humidity, it was hard to dry our clothing successfully or effectively with use of the clothesline. This is a practical constructive comment based upon the climate.
We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return in the future!

The house is very well maintained and well equipped and has a very well-kept garden. We were very nicely received by the hosts. There was a basket with delicious delicacies from the island. Thank you very much for this nice surprise!
Susana and Rui are very helpful and care very much about the well-being of their guests. We felt very comfortable and spent a very relaxing and beautiful vacation.
Nearby there are restaurants, stores, a bakery. The hot springs can be easily reached on foot. The house is also very convenient for activities on the entire island.

The welcoming was fantastic. Susana showed us around in the house and garden and told us all about the island. She gave many tips for visiting.
The house had everything we needed during our stay (plenty of space, well-stocked kitchen, very clean, two bathrooms...), including a wonderful quiet garden with a great view.
Shops and restaurants are at walking distance, also the caldeiras in the village and several hot springs.
During our stay we did many day trips, only in the eastern part of the island. There is so much to see and so many great hikes to do. And then there are the small beaches and the hot springs... One week was even too short for us to visit this part of the island.
If we come back to the Azores, we'll definitely book this house again.

Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von 7 Freunden und haben den Urlaub sehr genossen!
Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet, voll ausgestattet und bietet mit seinen Garten viel Platz zum Entspannnen. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und aufmerksam.
Furnas liegt weiter im Osten der Insel, ist aber gut angebunden und wir haben den Rest der Insel gut erreichen können. Die Restaurants im Ort und auch die warmen Quellen sind sehr zu empfehlen.

Wonderful stay!
The Rustic House in Furnas is perfect in every way! The location is central to everything we wanted to see and do in Furnas: the thermal pools, food stores, restaurants and the caldeiras are all walking distance from the house.
The house is also fully furnished with everything a family needs. We had comfortable beds and enough space for our family of 5 and the kitchen is well stocked with cooking supplies/utensils. My husband felt comfortable and motivated to prep a couple of meals during his vacation!
The 2 bathrooms were also a big plus for us. I did not have to fight to use a bathroom with my husband or 3 boys.
Our stay in Furnas and in this house made our very first trip to Azores very pleasant, enjoyable and comfortable! We will be back!

Perfect place to stay for us
We really liked staying here. Everything was well stocked, beds were comfortable and having on-side parking was a big bonus. The house was very clean and plenty of room. It was nice to have two full bathrooms and the property is situated on a beautiful lot. The outside area is great for relaxing. The location was perfect for us as we could walk everywhere, such as restaurants, grocery store. The owner is very responsive and so nice! They went over everything to make sure we knew where everything was and had a nice booklet prepared with travel ideas. They had a very thoughtful welcome basket for us with local favorites. We are hooked on Bolo Levedos. Thank you for sharing your home with us! Truly lovely!

And, the house is located a couple blocks from the center of Furnas, giving you easy walking access to everything in town. And if you want to drive to sites farther away, you have your own driveway to park your car during your stay. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Casa muito agradável
Ficamos muito bem instalados, espaço com jardim agradabilíssimo,
localização excelente, nada faltou para o dia a dia em família. A recepção pela anfitriã D. Susana foi impecável desde os conselhos que são sempre bem vindos até a oferta à chegada de uma cesta de produtos deliciosos dos Açores. Tomara que possa voltar. Aconselho vivamente.

Très beau gîte à proximité des commerces et très bien localisé pour découvrir l'île
Gîte parfaitement équipé avec un très beau jardin. Nombreux commerces et restaurants à proximité et accessibles à pied. L'accueil des propriétaires est particulièrement chaleureux et attentionné. L'endroit est un point de départ idéal pour visiter l'île. Bref toutes les conditions sont réunies pour un excellent séjour au sein de cette

Loved staying in this beautiful home
The location was very close to restaurants and activities. Bruno was very helpful and the house was stocked with everything we needed including snacks and coffee. We enjoyed sitting out on the patio with the view of a beautiful backyard.

Fantastic house in a perfect location to explore Furnas and surrounding area.
We were a party of 6 of which 3 are in their 80's. Bruno was amazing and arranged for a Birthday Cake for one of the group who was 83 on the day we arrived. Susana met us at the house and helped us settle in. The house was clean and comfortable and we loved the garden. Thanks to both Bruno and Susana for a few great days.

Lovely experience
Our host, Bruno, could not have been more welcoming. He showed us through the house, which was homey and comfortable. Everything was provided, even beach towels. He was very prompt in replacing a broken toaster. It was delivered by his lovely sister. He even left us with a basket of local goodies, which we really appreciated. The house is very well placed, near the steam baths and walking distance to many restaurants.many restaurants. Furnas is a good base

Furnas home
This home was very nice, Bruno welcomes our stay with a nice local treats. I the house was pretty well equipped. Many bedrooms. There was a crib for our 1 year old. Although the crib is better suited for a non-standing infant because my daughter could get her leg over and both legs through the railings. Lastly, the house could use a few more frying pans. It was a very comfortable house with ac and we often spent time outside in the back yard. I would stay again.

Furnas: la scelta migliore a Sao Miguel
Bruno ci ha accolto calorosamente al nostro arrivo e ci ha lasciato un album con diversi suggerimenti sia turistici che culinari. Già Furnas da sola vale il viaggio: ci sono diverse terme, le calderas, il menu cozido, il lago (con altre calderas) e alcuni punti panoramici da mozzafiato. Il resto dell'isola è fantastico e forse servivano più giorni per esplorare tutti i punti più interessanti. Comunque la sera era bello tornare in questo paese tranquillo.
Grazie Bruno, la casa l'abbiamo trovata accogliente e riposante, e qualche dritta come il ristorante di Ribeira Quente ci è servita!

Loved our stay here - excellent host, beautiful town!
We would highly recommend this property! Bruno was an amazing host. Our flight was delayed and he was extremely accommodating to let us check-in after midnight! He had a basket of goodies waiting for us, which was so helpful as everything was closed when we arrived. We loved the huge backyard and eating our meals outside. Lots of bedrooms to choose from. Bruno checked in with us to make sure everything was going well during our stay. The town of Furnas is beautiful and you can easily walk to many restaurants, shops, parks, and especially the steaming fumaroles which were just around the corner from the house. We loved our time here and would highly recommend this property. Thank you, Bruno!

Fijne plek
Het vakantiehuis in Furnas heeft veel pluspunten. Midden in het dorp, dichtbij restaurants en winkels, heerlijke tuin. En niet te vergeten een fantastische gastheer.
Aandachtspunten: de twee badkamers zijn niet naast de de slaapkamers, maar naast elkaar. En de weg en de voetgangers voor het huis kunnen d nachts voor overlast zorgen.
Voor ons was het een uitstekend verblijf.

We had a really good time on Sao Miguel. Nice house with parking place easy access to the whole island. Furnas is calm and have some nice restaurants and places to visit like Terra Nostra.

Great house right in town
Rented the house for two months in “winter” that was really like Spring back home. Bruno was a delightful host, meeting me upon arrival and checking in on a regular basis to see if I needed anything, The house is located right in the heart of town and within walking distance of restaurants, shops, groceries, and the most popular tourist destinations. You do not need to rent a car as you can hire a local car and driver if and when needed. The garden is lovely even in winter with abundant oranges and tangerines in the yard.

Perfect place to stay for a family
My Wife and Son stayed at this house for 8 days this past week. It was perfect for the three of us (we did not need the second floor, (3) extra bedrooms). The house is situated near a few good places to eat and there was a small supermarket or two right down the street. we walked to the hot baths on two different evenings and spend allot of time just sitting in the backyard after a long days travels. We would highly recommend this cottage. Bruno was a pleasure to meet and all expectations were exceeded by this charming house and Sao Miguel in general.

Great place to stay very clean very convienent location great host!
Bruno was a great host very flexible. House was super clean and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. We were welcomed by Bruno with a gift and spent some time going over everything we needed for our stay and what the house and location had to offer. Bruno even checked in during our stay midway by phone to see if everything was going well. Hands down well worth it to stay here.

Beautiful house with lots of space in a great location
We loved Bruno's house and its location right in town. Bruno and his mother were so welcoming, showing us around the house when we arrived and suggesting restaurants. The book they have put together with recommendations for Furnas and many other places on Sao Miguel Island was amazing! We loved it! The house was great for two couples - each couple had a nice bedroom on the main floor and our own bathroom. There was lots of space for all of us. The kitchen had everything we needed, including some delicious bread, tea, and coffee that Bruno left for us, and sharp knives we were able to use to slice up the fresh pineapple we bought. The garden is just gorgeous - we wish we could have spent a whole day sitting out there. The fresh oranges off the tree were fantastic! The nice outdoor seating area and off-street parking are a great bonus. The TV room was great, even though we did not have time to watch TV since we were too busy sight-seeing around Furnas. The house is in a great location to walk around town. We highly recommend walking around Terra Nostra garden and trying the cozido at Tony's restaurant!

Lovely rustic house in a great location
This was our third stay in Furnas and we were not disappointed. The house is in an idyllic setting, surrounded by gorgeous views and easy to get to. The garden is beautiful and we so enjoyed the fresh oranges from the little orchard, what a treat! The owner of the house, Bruno, was very friendly and helpful. He met us at our convenience on arrival and gave us a thorough tour of the house. He even had a welcoming basket of Azorean products for us to enjoy. The house is a typical Azorean house and is very charming. We were six adults staying at the house and there was plenty of room for all of us; we had two cars that we easily parked in the courtyard. the house was spotless and we found everything we needed, having a washer was very convenient. I found the beds to be a little too firm, but then again my husband had no problem with it.We really enjoyed the location of the house, approximately 15 minutes walk from the Poça da Dona Beija hot springs and Terra Nostra park, and close to many restaurants in Furnas. Thank you Bruno for a memorable stay!

Very nice house ,Great Garden
Bruno the owner was very friendly and very accommodating.Good location and lots of rooms.
The only down fall is that there is No free cancellation once you book with them. I felt I had no choice but to take the house even thou the other two couples could not come with us and we had already made our payments. I Think for this reason I will not be booking with this VRBO Company again. But the house and Gardens are great.As is Bruno the owner.
