Baisically like living in your own apartment, good location, right infront of the beach

location was easy to get to, could walk to the lighthouse and the beach.

There was heavy mold in the bathroom-on the ceiling and around the tub. cobwebs on the wall. seemed very worn. Also rather noisy from neighbors and street

Functional at best.

The location was good (if you don’t want to be in the city centre itself), opposite a park, and close to the waterfront.

The property was not particularly clean, dusty in most rooms, which left me needing to take my inhaler every morning when I awoke. There is mold in the bathroom, and the electrics gave me cause for concern in terms of their safety (photos added to show this). There was no view. The bedroom window overlooks an enclosed courtyard, of which you can see less than a meter, and the living room window was shuttered from the outside, so unless you are tall, you cannot see over it. Finally, this property is listed as giving you the option to pay at the property. I was not given this option, and was billed on arrival to the card linked to my booking.com account, which is not how I wanted to pay, and had I known this would happen I would not have chosen this option when booking.

Great location near the ocean (5 mins walks). easy to get city center by bus.

Overall the location and comfort outweighed the slight problems.

Great location, handy for shops, restaurants, bars, park and river/coast. Bed was very comfortable and host very helpful when required.

Could have been cleaner and smells from bathroom and kitchen need eliminated. Need to control flies in bathroom and mosquitoes. Living room light and socket near front window need checked/ fixed.

Perfect for the price...

The property is ideally located. The price was unbeatable. Great for a short stay. Had lovely park across from the flat and amazing restaurants within a short walk. Parking was readily available, we paid 2 Euro for the 3 days as one was a public holiday, we did a lot of sightseeing so the 4 hours no return in the daytime was not a problem.

The property is what is advertised, as well as what has been related in the reviews. It has a very unpleasant smell under the basin in the kitchen, it has only one window(the one in the bedroom is too small to have any effect) that is situated on a very busy road, it has a half shutter that is easily unlocked from the outside. This made our nights restless as our daughter slept on the sleeper couch and it was far too hot to close the window.

Amazing location near the oceanside and the lovely park, beautiful spacious apartment, nice host.

Probably someone may not like that the apartment is on the ground floor and a passer-by can look through the window of living room (if the shutters are open). But that’s a minor thing.

Foz do Douro's best bargain

The location was amazing -- minutes from the mouth of the Douro and the Atlantic beaches, and all that Foz do Douro has to offer. And the price was unbeatable. The apartment itself could use a little bit of updating. It's not as sleek and modern as most of what I've seem in Portugal, but it is perfectly adequate and comfortable for a solo guest or couple.

I had no complaints.

Great location near the ocean and long boardwalk next to ocean. Close to old yellow tram and buses. Apartment was clean and comfy with all equipment.
