An extraordinary place.
In my opinion, Cameron highlands towns are not the place where you can see something interesting.
Therefore, the fact that this hotel is far from them is not at all its disadvantage. True, the lake is not very beautiful and is not a suitable place for sightseeing or walks, but the overall view from the hotel is impressive.
There is a jungle trail right next to the hotel. This was the most challenging jungle trail of our trip. Just 1.5 km, any experience. I do not recommend it to anyone with mobility issues and it is better not to go with children. If you like adventure - definitely go.
We were upgraded to the Foster Suite - it was wow, wow, wow. But you have to climb the up to the hill.
We tried the hotel's steam boat for dinner - we really liked it.
Breakfast was also good and varied.
The only option for dinner is hotel restaurant. Few places not far away are just terrible.

Well maintained, immaculately clean, charming gem of a place, so beautiful and zen. Staff were so helpful. The fireplace is something else. Great place for a romantic getaway, away from the hustle and bustle of the city
I loved everything about it.

From what we could tell driving around, this was probably the best place to stay in the Cameron Highlands. Lovely atmosphere, with a rainforest backing this unique hotel, and a view over a fascinating lake. This hotel has a fascinating history and was one of the original tourist accommodations built in the 1960s.
The traffic noise from the main road below the hotel was a tad annoying. But it’s the only road into the highlands, which have become, sadly, overdeveloped.

Service is excellent, the team repaired our low water flow from bath tub tap problem immediately after we feedback. They also picked up and safe kept my sister's pouch until we when to check with the reception. Very honest and professinal staffs, I salute you all, please keep up with the good work.
Location is further from town, unable to order Grab food delivery. Breakfast is of average standard. Complimentary pastries sent to room at about 5pm are likely left over from high tea? Didn't have chance to try the famous scones of the house.

The hotel is very, very beautiful and helps those who are looking to spend quality time with their family members. All the hotel staff, without exception, do their best to provide you with elegant, fast and dedicated service. The hotel has a beautiful English flavor, and the food they have is very tasty and of high quality.
nothing at all.

Lakehouse has been a favourite family destination. The location is not far from Kuala Lumpur and provides a sanctuary to city dwellers like myself. The food and service were excellent as always.
Nothing really. It was a very short stay as we arrived late in the evening. Wish we had more time.

The Lake House is well located and really clean, and the staff are really friendly and helpful. it is a good option for exploring the Cameron Highlands. But (with the exception of the outside terrace) it does feel a bit 1970/80s - the decor and furnishings don’t seem to have been updated much. Some people might even like that! And there is nothing faulty, just a bit dated.
See above.

it’s definitely a unique stay compared to your usual hotels because of the vintage vibe ☺️ staff was great and overall place was clean and comfortable
you gotta wait awhile before the next person showers but there’s already a sign that informs us this so it’s all good
