This riad has an incredible traditional style that immediately takes the guests to a different culture, i really recommend it for couples that are searching for a peaceful place to rest after a busy day at the old medina. Mehdi (the owner) could make us feel at home and in addition to the great breakfast and dinner, he also helped us to get a guide to visit Fes and did an effort to give us breakfast earlier than normal in our last day. It was great on every aspect and i recommend having dinner at the riad, the atmosphere and the food were incredible.
The riad is a bit difficult to find in the first day but it turns out to be an advantage as it located in a calm zone of the old medina.

The room wasn't as expected. I booked a 30m2 room without pictures and expected it to be a double room, but it was just a 20m2 room unfortunately. The owner said it was a faalt from booking.com but the service was great and staff really friendly.

Fantastic AC, the bed was clean and comfortable, the room was a brilliant size, plenty of loo roll, a very friendly and helpful welcome from staff, the riad is aesthetically pleasing, big and tasty breakfast, good location.
The shower head had good pressure, but sprayed outside the shower.

The room was nice.
It was difficult to find this riad. From my personal opinion the ranking on Booking is too high... I am not planning to return here again.

Beautiful riad interior. But room was not good. Old and not well maintained. Paint peeling off all around sink, rusty parts, bathroom door only opened halfway, no view from window. And we left after one day … even though we paid for 3. The room was too stuffy and not good air circumation. I was having trouble breathing.
Bathroom needed renovating.

what a huge room! feels super fancy, and the decoration is very traditional, very lovely. every staff are also helpful especially for taxi and Chefchaouen trip
the room is huge BUT bear in mind it is in the middle of breakfast area, so it’s just a tiny bit less private compare to other room.

The Riad is really beautiful, authentic, clean, spacious and with a great location that is very peaceful and quieter, yet in immediate proximity to medina.
We also booked (with the riad owner) a 3 day trip from Fez to Marrakech via the desert. Amazing trip with luxury camping in the desert with a great guide Hamza who speaks really good English and is very knowledgeable.

Everything amazing. Highly recommended
We could not come earlier. We had booked an evening in a riad called Riad Bel kayed but the experience was horrible. Than we found this place and honestly it was the best decision we made in our trip

This was the best riad we stayed in during our time in Morocco - it was a wonderful introduction to Morocco. Situated in the middle of the medina, 200m. from a lovely restaurant, the "Al Oud", it allowed us to explore the area thoroughly - they even found us an English-speaking guide to take us round. The room was clean, and, though the facilities were sparse and the lighting in the room poor, there was a private bathroom of the traditional Moroccan style. Breakfast was freshly-squeezed orange juice, an omelette, various rolls and pastries, and the all important coffee! We would thoroughly recommend this riad to anyone visiting Fes. We stayed three nights, and would happily have stayed a week!
The lighting in the room was very poor - a single low-powered bulb in a very heavy and dark lampshade, very much in the Moroccan style, which made it difficult for us to write our journals. There was wi-fi, but it was a little patchy, probably due to the thickness of the walls, but in the main downstairs area, the signal was good and very consistent. These are points of detail in what was otherwise an excellent experience.

The room was spacious, the dinner and breakfast were exceptional and very tasty, the lady is very welcoming and they took the initiative to bring us more bread even if it was late at night
We were there at 3PM and didn't access the room until 3:40PM
They asked us to transfer our wedding certificate on WhatsApp and took a copy of the IDS which is forbidden by the law as on Royal Decree No. 1.15.108 issued on Shawwal 18, 1436 (August 4, 2015) implementing Law No. 80.14 related to tourism establishments and other forms of tourist accommodation, they should either take the information and enter it in the system, not keep the picture which is not safe, or give us a paper signed by the security mandate, we agree and sign it before taking the copies.
Other than this we loved the stay

I liked the breakfast. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. The location is good.
I had two rooms booked, Both rooms where a little too dark. In both rooms, the smell in bathroom that came from the drainage was awful. Hard to enjoy staying in a room with such bad smell. The Delux room was also cold, the windows that are towards outside have bad insolation and let cold air in.

This is a lovely little riad at a decent location. The night before we arrived there was heavy rains which caused a leak in our room so we had to spend the first night at another riad just next door. However, we were upgraded to a larger room as a result which was nice. The hosts Muhammad and mehdi are great people and very polite and for what we paid you cannot beat this for value for money. Regarding the location it is decent but the Madina of fez is tiring as you have to walk up and down hills, the walk to Bab Boujloud from the riad is about 10 min but it is uphill so very steep and can get tiring. Breakfast is lovely but can get a bit repetitive.

Mohammed was exceptional. He explained us where the things where the first day and kept making our stay more comfortable. Unfortunately we were sick for 2 days of the 3 we stayed but they were so accommodating when we needed something a bit lighter for breakfast.
The little communication before hand when asked if we could stay one more day. There was no reply whatsoever so we ended up getting another hotel.

the host goes above and beyond, nothing is too much trouble, he organised early takeaway breakfasts for us when we were out early
we ate dinner there once and would recommend
location is in a quiet part of the median making it a nice break from the busy streets of the medina
we had one of the downstairs rooms that opens into the court yard and slept well every night, the host makes an effort to keep the riad quiet at night
tea on arrival and good explanation/recommendations of the medina
We went on the Hammam trip that was offered and it was good
could do some sun loungers/day beds on rooftop for when you just want to relax comfortably
Aircon unit is slightly on the noisy side but I am a light sleeper and didn’t cause me any issues
