The location is superb
The staff were helpful and provided us with an extra room fan
The bed only had a inadequate bottom sheet on a mattress. During sleeping the sheet moved so you were on bare mattress - not hygienic
The property is in general disrepair

You are in the middle of the undisturbed nature. That's how the paradise looks like, feels, and sounds as the nights and days here.

Excellent place to stay if you want to be proximous to the nature.
We highly recommend also taking a walk along the multiple beaches.
Food in the evening is excellent: go for the menu.
Staff could have cleaned the room between 2 nights.

A hotel like in paradise, here you can relax away from crowded tourist places. The staff is extremely nice and friendly. For me one of the most beautiful places in Drake Bay. I will definitely come back.

The bungalows and dormitory rooms are located right in the jungle, high up on the hill, meaning you are almost on the same level at the animals in the canopies. We saw monkeys, sloths, agoutis and coatis right from our accommodation! There are also lovely trails you can do through the jungle to a river and to the adjacent remote beaches. The hostel bathrooms were always kept clean. The restaurant food and juices were really good. The staff are all wonderful and were very sweet and caring to me when I fell badly the one day, even cleaning up my wound for me. I really appreciated the kindness.
The girls dormitory I was in had a wet patch on the floor - I think maybe the ceiling had a small leak. They have a great communal kitchen but the fridges need to be better managed as food doesn't get cleaned out after guests leave. I think they just need to put a system in place eg. write your name and check-out date on your food packet so the staff know when to chuck it. The wifi and power goes out from time to time but that is normal for the whole Corcovado area.

Wake up in the morning with the sunrise- ocean view and the sound of the howling monkeys from the jungle in the back. Paradise place…🤗💫🇨🇷☀️

Much better than staying in town. Place is beautiful and run by a nice local family.
Surrounding nature is stunning, but Dorm area is a bit neglected. Rooms are right in front of the kitchen, so there's noise and light from 5am (better to stay in the tents on top). Guests are allowed to smoke at all times in the terrace. The fridge is full of rotting food and the door won't close. No place in the kitchen to put your food so people use lockers as pantry and sometimes there's no space left for valuables.

Location is perfect, people in a hostel were really helpful and I really liked the way how the hostel house was builded…
Bathrooms were not really clean and shower was not working good when I was there…

The staff were very accommodating and went out of their way to help arrange the things I wanted to do. The food was really good and was a decent price. The location was great in terms of hiking trails and places to expmore for sefl-catering travellers. The wifi was pretty fast considering the location. The views and nature around the camp were exceptional. Thanks for a great stay!
My room had a ceiling fan which didn't work but there was a floor fan instead. The room was very clean.

Staff are friendly and help with booking Corcovado tours and activities, had a wonderful stay.
The facilities could be improved - but the location makes up for everything.

If you are looking for a stay in the wild, remote, quiet with an amazingly friendly staff, then Corcovado Adventures is for you. You will not be in Drake Bay, but in Tent Camp, which is a little bit further away by boat than Drake Bay. Hence you don't have other hotels around you or restaurants. While you can go to Drake Bay it is a 1h walk. Saying this, there is a restaurant onsite and the food is delicious! We had such an amazing time, the staff even put on some music and danced with us. I recommend!
While the view was breathtaking, I was expecting a higher standard for the en-suite room up the hill. It was more of a cabin. The bed was not super comfy, the curtain kept coming off. I know it is very remote and probably not easy to transport material, but some easy and quick-fix adjustments could be made to make the room and the bathroom look nicer.
If I had to come again, I would book the tent instead. The room was overpriced for what it was.

The location is great, food was also good.
The standard of the rooms could be better. The stairs to climb to the rooms need repairs.

Fantastic stay at this hostel. As I was travelling in the rainy season I was the only guest but the staff are super welcoming and helpful in organising tours and transfers. The food is delicious and reasonably priced.
There is nice walk to the Rio Clara or 45min walk into Drakes Bay downtown. The beach is right directly in front of the property and the accommodation feels as if you are staying in the jungle.
There are lots of ants around who get into EVERYTHING but can’t really be helped while you are in the jungle.

Yesica and her family were super welcoming and always helpful, especially when booking tours etc. We first stayed 4 nights in a bungalow and extended our stay by one night and moved to one of the big tents. Both were clean (besides some bugs in the bungalow but this is the jungle so nothing to complain about). The kitchen at the dorms was basic but more than sufficient for small meals and also clean. The location is simply amazing (seaview from the tent/bungalow and during breakfast) and there was plenty of wildlife all around us (monkeys, tucans, parrots etc). Would definitely stay again :)
Only two things to consider: its a 1h walk to the next supermarket so if you want to cook yourself better bring something with you from Sierpe. Or you order food from their restaurant, - absolutely delicious!
Dont forget to bring a flashlight - the paths and stairs to the rooms partly are very dark. And watch out for frogs!
If you book a tent try to get one that is not too close to the common area to ensure a quiet night (meaning no noise from humans, but only from the jungle and the sea).

The location is remote and right in the national park. Its surrounded by beautiful beaches d animals. The staff helped organise tours for me and cooked amazing food! I stayed in the jungle hostel part. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen facilities were adequate for what you pay for the room. The views from the hostel were stunning! To get there the staff helped me figure out the bus and boat journey. They met me at the beach and took my bags from the boat for me. I was always able to reach staff via WhatsApp message. The WiFi worked in all locations even on part of the beach. You can walk 1 hour and 20 minutes along a coastal path to Drake Bay or go the other direction further into the national park.
The toilets need updating and fixing (some didn't flush or the light didn't work)

the location is amazing and this is the cheapest place in drake
some people of the staff are really really kind
the path from the center of drake to the hostel is MAGIC
one night I ate in their restaurant and the food was really good and worth the price (veggie casado)
-so UNCLEAN
the kitchen, the bathroom...
when i arrived, I was supposed to sleep in the dorm, there was only one mattress in place, all the other beds were empty, which was really weird, and it smelled SO BAD, like animal urine or something, I said it and they said "ho yea it's because there are cockroaches"
luckely I could move in a tent upstairs, which was way better
- the breakfast was not good, my pancakes were burnt and the fruits could have been cut by a 6yo child, and the quantity is so tiny (knowing that there is no shops or restaurant around, you would love to have a good breakfast to begin you day)
luckely I ask for a pinto and they gave it to me really nicely

It was very clean, the staff was really nice and helpful, the location is the best in the zone, close to the town walking and the better beaches!

The location is the best in Drake Bay! The boat leaves you directly at the hotel and the tour picks you up there, the food is the best in Costa Rica! 100% recommended
:)

Location, beach next to it, directly in the jungle, free water
Trying to charge different price than on booking but after noticing it, I paid the correct one

I gave this hostel a great rating for a few reasons. First, the location is WONDERFUL if you plan to walk the coastal trail (which you should) because it breaks it up a bit allowing you to only walk 6 miles instead of like 11 miles in one day. The boat to drake bay will drop you off here if you ask. The food at the restaurant was really good and definitely the cheapest in the area (the coastal walk restaurants are EXPENSIVE). Cocktails here were actually exceptionally good. Maybe the best we've had in Costa Rica. Totally worth the splurge after a day at the beach. The facilities nearest the main restaurant (showers, toilet, etc.) were also really clean. Also free cold water refills!
I loved the sounds of the jungle here and also the beachfront hammocks.
BUT...
This hostel is not for everyone.
We slept in the regular tents which are literally just a tent with some mattresses in it. Rustic but everything was clean and swept when we arrived. The kitchen is horrendous. Clearly no one is cleaning that area or ever has. There was lots of rotten food in the fridges from past guests and people didn't seem to do thier dishes. This isn't the hostels fault though. And the bathrooms up near the tents were pretty gross so we used the ones closer to the restaurant. Also if you stay in the dorm there is no mosquito nets.
We loved our stay there & so did lots of the people who were there with us. Drake Bay is just rustic and remote. So expect to rough it a bit.

Amazing location. I went for one night and stayed 5. Dream place. Bryan the manager makes this place special, he is super helpful.

Location was amazing!
I was overcharged by $5.65(US)/night. The kitchen and bathrooms were filthy and no toilet paper for 2 days. Seems like staff shortage and communication issues. I booked a tour with them and they forgot to tell the tour operator I was joining. So everyone thought I was a stowaway during the whole tour. Most of the other tourists were friendly and the guide was very accommodating, but some were obviously put out by me being there even though I was paying the same. And the management never apologized or offered a discount. I would pay extra to stay somewhere else.
