Best view perfect location. Great layout with two rooms onto entrance street, living room and twin room. Noisy at times but to be expected with location. Main be
bedroom, shower room and kitchen with outside terrace onto River just parfect. Birds visit at low tide and nice breeze down river on hot evenings. Upper terrace views over rooftops, very hot and not used due to heatwave on our visit. Emma answered questions quickly and sorted transfers. Would love to visit again. Sue

The apartment is great, just as shown in the photos, and equipped with everthing you need. Communications and check in with Casa Serviço was perfect too. I would definitely recommend.

Lovely accommodation in a perfect setting.

The apartment is located right by the river and the roman bridge, which makes it ideal to walk the old town. The beds are comfortable, the wifi works well inside, but not on the balconies. We used the two balconies often We had lunch there almost every day. The only inconvenience is the very small fridge and the lack of an oven. It was noisy on a few evenings but overall it was not a problem

I spent a week here in November when Tavira is generally quiet. Emma, the host, is exceptional. So friendly and helpfull, with lots of useful tips on good places to eat etc. The property is great and has all you need, except maybe, TV viewing is a bit limited (for a UK viewer) and the couch isn't the most comfortable. OK I'm being picky now!The location is superb! It was great sitting out on the terrace people watching going over the bridge. There was music playing from a nearby bar which I didn't mind but may bother some. It didn't go on till late, but I don't know what it would be like in the hight of the season. The roof terrace would be fantastic and relatively private but given the time of year I didn't have the opportunity to use it. I would definately consider returning to this property.

This accommodation certainly is the best location in town. We couldn't have asked for a better location, right in the heart of the city with everything on your doorstep. This perfect little property has everything you need for your stay in Tavira. It is immaculately clean. The beds are very comfortable with air con in both rooms as well as the living-room. The best bit is the main terrace looking over the Roman bridge, it's just beautiful. Perfect people watching spot whilst taking in the sights and sounds of Tavira and having a glass or 2 of wine. The private roof terrace upstairs is great if you like to do a bit of sunbathing.
Emma the owner is such a lovely girl and nothing is a hassle. Communication was fab and anything you need or need to know, she is there to help. All in all we would definitely recommend staying here and hopefully my husband and I will return in the near future.

Best location in Tavira
Beautiful spotlessly clean property set right on the river and next to the ancient bridge so you can people watch all day and night if you like. Well fitted out and we made good use of the parasols and beach towels that Emma the property manager provided for us. We were met at the property on arrival, just phone Emma when you are leaving the airport. This was our second visit to this property and we would highly recommend it. We will return without question.

Great holiday!
Our flight into Faro was very early and our departure flight was very late, but Emma contacted us before we left the UK to say we could check in as early as we liked and we could check out as late as we liked. Superb! Emma met us on our arrival at the villa and showed us everything we needed to know. We had a great stay at this superbly located, simple villa which had everything we needed. We will not hesitate to book again when we next plan to holiday in Tavira.

Fabulous location
Lovely property in prime location with amazing views. Property was well equipped and had everything we needed. Comfortable sun beds on the upper terrace, with table and chairs on the lower terrace. A lovely welcome pack upon arrival. Emma was very helpful throughout, arranging our taxi from the airport as we were arriving late at night. Had a fabulous holiday would highly recommend this property. We will be back.

The selling point of the apartment is definitely the view and location which are exceptional.
The apartment itself is actually quite basic, the living room felt gloomy and unloved which was not a problem for us as we didn't use it. One of the sun loungers on the upper terrace was ripped and unusable. There was no brush to sweep the kitchen and terrace which over the week meant we had quite a lot of ants.
The second bedroom could be quite noisy with people passing, but that is to be expected due to the central location.
Overall we had a great time but a few tweeks but make a nice apartment great.

Comfortable accommodation in great location
We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Casa Asseca. Several bars and restaurants are within a few minutes walk, as are all the sights and the ferry terminal for the beach. There are two good sized bedrooms and the kitchen is well equipped, making great use of the space. Our visit was in late October which meant we didn't get much evening use of the balcony with its great views of the river and the bridge. Our next visit will be earlier in the season! Emma and Inge couldn't have been more helpful with local information, booking taxis etc.
Great holiday!

Ideal place to stay
There could be no better location, with lovely terrace and roof top for sunbathing. Clean and well equipped for a great holiday experience in Tavira. Would definitely stay there next time.

Perfect
Thoroughly modernised and well-equipped house with spacious rooms and small outdoor patio right on the river's edge and by the beautiful pedestrian Roman bridge. Perfect for watching people, absorbing the pleasant sounds of the city and being fascinated by the changing river tides. Cafes, restaurants and shops just moments away. What a treat!

Lovely property, great location
The property was lovely and clean and had everything you could possibly need. Ingberg and Emma could not of been more helpful, met us when we arrived and took us to the property and when we had trouble with the awning Emma quickly solved it ( it just needed a bit harder turning than we were doing!!)and also sorted out the WiFi ( the cleaner had dislodged the connection) The apartment is in a great location right in the centre overlooking the river and the Roman Bridge, the lower terrace was great for eating and people watching and the upper one for sunbathing and if we went to Tavira again we would love to stay there again

A perfect holiday
We were met at the property by Emma who gave us helpful information about the area including beaches and restaurants. The property was perfect for us. Well equipped and centrally located being only steps away from restaurants. The view from the balcony and roof terrace exceeded our expectations and we enjoyed watching the world go by with a glass or two of wine in hand. The musicians on the bridge gave a great ambiance. This was our 4th visit to Tavira and this was the best accommodation location by far. We had a car and used the nearby free car park daily which had plenty of spaces. Good security shutters on all windows so you feel safe and shuts out the light and noise. Many good restaurants in the area and we had excellent meals in most of them. We were sad to leave after our 2 weeks from our perfect holiday property but without doubt we will be returning.

Great flat spoiled by outside noise
The flat is fantastic: centrally located, handy for bus station, restaurants, supermarket etc. and spotlessly clean; contains everything required for a short break and has very comfortable beds.
However if you are looking for a peaceful holiday there are huge drawbacks outside. We chose this flat for its peaceful location on the river and between 9pm and 9am it is peaceful( unless you are a light sleeper).
BUT there are two woeful “accordionists” who play in non stop shifts from 9 am onwards. The same few bars of the same three ‘tunes’ all day long and very loudly. It drove us to distraction and spoiled our stay. We couldn’t enjoy the balconies we had so anticipated. What a great pity.

Comfy "Cottage" with a great little riverside terrace
Perfect location for exploring beautiful Tavira. Spotlessly clean, excellent beds, kitchen well-equipped for preparing simple meals. Good shower, efficient heating/air conditioning units in living room and both bedrooms. Supermarket, excellent restaurants and free parking within easy walking distance.
Ingeburg and Emma are extremely helpful property managers. They arranged transportation from and to Faro Airport and a rental car that was delivered to and picked up from the house. So convenient!
Having read previous reviews before booking, we were impressed to see that many of the minor concerns mentioned - too few egg cups, no place to hang coats, etc. - had been addressed.
We enjoyed several meals on the lower terrace (there are two) and loved watching the birds/bats/crabs/fish come and go as the tide rose and fell and day turned into evening.
If only the accordion players on the bridge would learn a few more songs, or take more breaks, this little cottage would be heaven!
We would definitely book with Ingeburg and Emma again.

Perfect location, very comfortable apartment!
We had spent whole winters in Tavira on two previous occasions (staying for 3 months and 4 months) so knew the place quite well. So it took us only a few seconds thought to decide to book Casa Asseca when we saw it was available.
The apartment is delightful and centrally located next to the Roman bridge within 2 minutes walk of our favourite restaurant and all the facilities the town has to offer.
One busker on the bridge on an otherwise idyllic Sunday afternoon - who knew the music of Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan very well but sadly none of the lyrics - was the only, tiny, irritation of the entire fortnight but regular visitors know about the buskers so it wasn’t a problem - and we already miss the strains of Besame Mucho drifting across the river...
Emma was a brilliant host, meeting us on arrival and calling in to say goodbye on a Saturday morning.
Planning to return next year.
Thanks Emma (and Ingeburg) for a great holiday!

Lovely, well equipped apartment in a great location.
Clean, well equipped and terrace has a lovely view.

Comfortable property with great views.
Clean and comfortable one storey semi-detached cottage with lovely views over the river and ideally situated next to many good restaurants, shops and the town centre. Emma was very helpful with prompt assistance on arrival in finding the car park and additional bedding. Our visit was a week in early February and so although the nights were cool the cottage heating and hot water supply were excellent as also was the Wi-Fi. The TV had BBC World and Entertainment channels.
A major drawback for users of the second bedroom, which is directly next to a pedestrian passage, was the sound of talking and rumbling wheeliebins at all hours of the night.
There were some minor problems: only one small chair in each bedroom, only two egg cups, 3 cereal bowls, lacking in kitchen and bathroom soap and cleaning facilities, absence of any pegs to hang coats. A welcome pack would be a nice touch although perhaps we were spoilt the previous week at a fabulous Airbnb in Silves.

SIMPLY THE BEST HOLIDAY RENTAL IN TAVIRA
We have just returned home to Canada after a beautiful 17 day visit to southern Portugal. Tavira and Casa Asseca were the highlights of our trip. This stunning two bedroom house could not be more wonderfully appointed or in a better location for visting Tavira and environs. Renovated in 2015 and expertly looked after by Emma and Ingeburg from Casa Servico, a property management firm within walking distance of the house, Casa Asseca is a dream home come true. We enjoyed preparing seafood suppers with fresh produce from the local market and then enjoying the wonderful dinner views from the balcony overlooking the Gilau river and Roman bridge. The views of Tavira, the Roman Bridge, amazing birdlife from Casa Asseca’s kitchen level terrace and rooftop terrace are stunning. The house is in a great location: cafes, restaurants, free car parking, the ferries to the Ilha de Tavira beaches are all in easy walking distance. Nothing is more than a 5 minute stroll away. Many thanks to Emma and Ingeburg for the great customer service. We hope to return to Casa Asseca next year. Thank you, Heather & Brent, Montreal.

Superb accommodation and location
Stayed here for six weeks through September till October. Absolutely adored it. Big, bright, spotlessly clean and slap bang in the middle of town. Brilliant balcony and terrace. Loved having meals on the balcony and listening to the music from the Roman Bridge and the Square. In fact, booked for five weeks next year! One suggestion, and in no way a criticism, perhaps a voile curtain on the kitchen door. Skimpy togs in the morning and at night don't go well with the big glass door. However, will take a light dressing gown next year. Highly recommend it!

Alles super

House close to the Roman Bridge
For the second consecutive year in the first week of August we were in the house of Asseca. From the beginning we loved it, the house is excellent, is very well equipped, with a sober decor and tastefully as well as being very well looked after. The space is great for a family of 4 people. It is very well located, right in the city center and very close to the Roman bridge, it has a balcony and a terrace with an absolutely fabulous view. The location allows access to all restaurants, shops, market, historic district .For who leads the car access to main roads are quite affordable. We have made contact with Emma that is very affordable and concerned with the welfare of the guests. Next year we will be there !!

Casa da Asseca far exceeded our expectations! Even better than the pics! A fabulous space in the most convenient, and beautiful location... within minutes of the most highly rated (and very reasonably priced) restaurants. The property was larger and airier than we expected with high ceilings and decent size rooms, and immaculate to the core. It could not have been cleaner. So easy to get to the beach by ferry down the river, but the roof top accommodated those super lazy days for basking in the sun. Waking up in the most comfortable bed to views of the river was positively blissful. And having the opportunity to observe the various wildlife (fish, crabs, numerous breeds of birds, bats, etc.) throughout the day and night was exhilarating. We spent hours just relaxing, and sampling local produce, on the lower deck (great super market a short walk away) with amazing views. I actually hesitated about writing a good review as want this place to always available to us :) Many thanks are due to Emma for making our stay so pleasant, and through assisting us with transportation. We hope to stay again in the not too distant future.

Wonderful place
This really is a lovely apartment, comfortable, clean, well equipped (great bathroom and kitchen), quiet and a truly delightful location right on the river looking onto the Roman Bridge. The pictures give some idea but the best is breakfast and/or evenings on the terrace, watching swallows turn into bats as the moon rises over the Bridge, the fresh, open aspect, air conditioning in the bedroom (it was getting hot after 20th June), and just absorbing the atmosphere. We were completely able to relax, loved the ferry journey to the beaches, but equally loved getting to know beautiful Tavira. We had Fado, Tavira Fiesta, markets, (particularly recommend the Saturday evening market with it's artisan stalls) beautiful weather, bird watching and of course the choice of superb beaches. Lovely people, beautiful language, and great bars and restaurants - check out Bistro O Porto just by the beach ferry for great vegan/vegetarian and Bar Pessoa just along from the apartment. Thank you to Emma and the Team at Casa Servico, and Tavira, for a truly wonderful holiday!
