Location
Fortunately, the hotel is well located in the center of Kyoto. Imagine: a pillow as hard as a rock, very small rooms, beds made up of two mattresses (without a box spring), no view because of opaque windows that only open a few centimeters, a tiny bathroom resembling a ship's cabin where you'd get seasick. An onsen with alternating schedules for men and women, not allowing couples to enjoy it together. Breakfast is available but of average quality. Fortunately, the service is appreciable.

First of all, the location could not get any better - you are literally just meters from the Teramachi shopping street, and most main attractions are a walking distance away (Pontocho are a 5min walk, and Gion just above 10min away). You are also right next to the Kawaramachi bus and train stations, and with the Hankyu-Kyoto private railway (which is both cheaper, and in every way superior, to the city-run public transports) you can be in central Osaka in c. 1h. The location is 10/10. The hotel also feels really fresh, and the front desk staff are super helpful (and relatively English speaking). There is also an on-site public onsen, which is not anything special, but the fact that you can get a public onsen in a hotel this centrally located, and at this price, is in itself worth mentioning. Laundry facilities are also available, if you need them.
The hotel is really good, and can definitely recommend, but there are a few things that prevent a perfect score. First of all, although it is quite common for hotel rooms in big Japanese cities to be really small, and Super Hotel is no exception (in fact, I have seen smaller, and I am not referring to capsule hotels), there is not an intelligent layout in the hotel room, and space is wasted (e.g. no drawers or cupboards whatsoever, no space underneath the bed to store e.g. suitcases), resulting in a struggle to fit even a single big plus a small suitcase in the room (and even more so if you have two big suitcases). Second, the breakfast buffet was not only rather mediocre, but consistently crowded with people, regardless if you arrived at 7am or just before closing at 9am. Once again, things had not been dimensioned quite right. Third, when I tried to use a VPN (since I need it to access my work email), it was not just blocked, but my WiFi was immediately suspended from the mere attempt on the device in question, which is quite the overreaction, and could be very bad if you stay long and do not know how to trick the WiFi into believing your device is a different one from previously. Regardless, I was unable to check my work email during my stay due to this, which was very inconvenient, and this is one of the reasons I very much disapprove of hotels doing a blanket ban of VPNs. Fourth, the cleaners consistently ignored written requests/instructions (both in English and Japanese), and during the last day I happened to come across one cleaner in action, cleaning a room adjacent to mine, and what I witnessed was utterly disgusting. I do not know if that was the habits of just one individual cleaner (who might have gotten sacked by now due to the aforementioned 'cleaning' habits), or the general rule throughout the hotel, but still very much not ok, and in itself something that lowered the score by at least one point. I'd give the hotel a 7.5...

早餐很好吃,有很多蔬菜,地點非常方便,去景點搭車也不遠,飯店附近就能逛街.價格也很好,非常推薦入住,下次去京都一定會選擇這邊入住的.

The location is great. Close to everything. There was laundry, a spa and breakfast.
The rooms could be clean but could be better. Some of the equipment like bathroom fans, pillows took a while to get used to.

Room was clean and location is very near to Rinku station. Excellent to spend one day shopping in the neighbourhood. Walking distance to Rinku Premium outlet.
The check out time at 10am is too early. Most hotels check out at 11am. This hotel charges 1000 Yen for every extra hour you exceeded. Also, free shuttle bus service to the airport should be provided since this is an airport hotel. We have to pay 300 Yen each.

Great location, price, breakfast, onsen
The bed wasn’t very comfortable for two people if you have bed sleep, I end up with sleeping on the couch. The couch is very comfortable to sleep on though!

The location was good, very near to the bus stations & metro, plus all shopping possibilities. It could be a bit hard to find because the hotel stands in an alley away from the main street, but only about 150m away and once you know where, it's easy to navigate. The alley where it stands also leads directly to the one of the most popular shopping centers. The staff were very helpful.
Not much varieties in breakfast. The hotel is geared mostly for Japanese customers. There are plenty to eat, but there were no knives or forks for western guests. That might bother some people.

No checkout procedure, doors locked by PIN. Big choice of pillows
Breakfast extremely crowded, could be solved by distributing times upon checkin

The hotel is in a brilliant location, which is walking distance to many shops & restaurants. There also a lot of convenience stores scattered around the hotel. The metro is also walking distance to the hotel. The hotel is clean & spacious. They offer so many complimentary items and you can choose the kind of pillow you want from a big selection. The hotel also has complimentary access to the Onsen which looked very nice. Wifi is faultless around the hotel. It is so peaceful and quiet, very tranquil area.
The breakfast had very little western options.

1. Breakfast that makes your day.
2.Good location with abundant shops to satisfy the stomach plus a pleasure to walk through the surrounding areas.
The room is kind of small and it's layout; bed, sofa and table below TV not well arranged. Suggest to have the TV and TV table switch position with the sofa

Great location, free welcome drink, choice of pillow size, nice breakfast, and clean onsen
booked a triple room with 2 adult and two kids. it was clearly mention that the price was for four adults but when i book i receive the confirmation it was saying booking for two adult…
So i expected that they would charge me extra even if show them a screen shot of the booking saying price for for adult… and the did… only 2000 yen… but the fact is that it was miss leaded…

The mini spa and it’s free breakfast are the best features of this hotel.

The room was basic but had all the necessities. Location is great.
Bathroom fan is too loud. I tried to turn it off but it's not obvious how do I had to sleep with it on. Very annoying.
