What an amazing property! So clean and comfy, and it was a perfect place to sit and relax after a day of touring! Trudy was an amazing host, very helpful and friendly, and we were glad that we were able to talk with her a little bit! We loved everything about the property, and it was an excellent base for us for our holiday to Portsmouth and Southampton. We hope that if we're back in the area again some day, The Haven will be available! ^_^

We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of August and it was perfect. The host was accommodating, the property was amazing and had all the basics available on arrival (tea, coffee, milk, bread, etc. Location is brilliant and my family loved it. Will use again without a doubt.

We arrived at the home and it was great. The home was tidy and clean. I loved the openness and how comfortable it was. The bed was so comfortable, I really hated getting up in the morning. The location fit our needs, it was close to Gosport and Portsmouth. It was close to stores. We loved the welcome basket it was a sweet surprise. We will definitely come back to this location.
Thank you so much for welcoming us into your home.

Our first visit to this lovely property; we shall return.
It is well appointed with an extremely comfortable sitting room.

A small, modern apartment constructed around a detached garage on the owner's property. A short drive away (minutes) is a large ASDA supermarket where you can buy everything you need if you want to eat in. Found a good pub, the Bun Penny, not a long distance away. We need to return to the area and will use the apartment again if available.

We stayed in the house for 18 days. There are short distances by car, e.g. to the sea in Lee on the Solent, to Portsmouth, to Hayling Island.... Whether it's swimming, hiking, shopping, there's a lot to do in the area. The "Whyvern Inn" pub is only a 20-minute walk away. The cottage is clean and equipped with everything you need. Trudy, the landlady lives right next door and is very nice and will help with any questions or problems.

Fully recomend this property
My husband and I found the Haven very comfortable, clean, well equipped and a pleasure to go back to after a day visiting relatives in the area.
We were there on the hottest two days of the year so far . The owner very thoughtfully provided two fans to help keep us cool.
We can totally recommend the Haven.

Friendly cat and property is a great base for local area but some issues.
Comfy bed and great space for 2.
2 fans were a godsend as we always travel with 1 but unbelievably heating was on still in June set to 21.5°C. We were fighting to keep it cool for 2 days before I noticed the boiler kicking in when washing up. Our heating as been off since April so it hadn’t come into our mind that it would be on in June.
Internet was great, TV is basic freeview.
Dishes, cutlery & cups were still covered in dried on food & tea stains so had to wash up 2 sets of each for use before using. Kettle was full of fuzzy limescale which left a nasty taste in hot drinks. Spoke to a gentleman a few days in & he said they’d replace it. Came home to it descaled but even after we boiled several lots of water it was still leaving the film & floaty bits in tea/coffee so didn’t use it further.
The extraction fan in the bathroom didn’t work so the tiled floors grout seemed to be permanently wet so soggy socks or grout pieces stuck to your feet every time you walked in there. Did mention it to the gentleman at the time we gave him the kettle but came home to no note or information on what was happening. We tried to lay down the towels and keep the windows open to dry it out but by the time we’d dried it off it was shower time again.
The colour scheme is so silver/grey and light. Made us very on edge as to not make a mark anywhere. It’s not our cup of tea for everyday but it does look nice just not personally practical. Made sure we never went upstairs in our shoes and kept our drinks in a bottle. Not very relaxing. The stair carpet would definitely benefit a shampooing from the sheer amount of traffic such a light coloured carpet has to deal with.
Parking is great, right in front of the property but it did get quite busy with some cars double parked, it didn’t happen but we half expected to come back to find the spot taken. As you come off the main road there is a no motor vehicle sign for the road you have to come down. It’s a bit disconcerting.
No information is in the folder about the bins and waste disposal. At home we have a food waste bin, recyclables & general waste. Is it not time for separate bins not just a black bag? Didn’t see gift basket until too late, biscuits out of date & milk & bread perished.
It’s next to an airfield in operation 24/7 & the cars race down the road parallel to the property. Both are very audible 24/7.
The ginger Cat is so friendly they were the best thing about the property.
