Had an amazing stay would recommend to anyone.

The breakfast was amazing, full English very filling. The room was large and warm and the bed very comfortable we even had a spare room. The staff are so friendly and nothing was too much to ask. The location was great not too far to walk into centre of town just a couple of minutes. The hotel is right over the road from the Abbey which is beautiful. Tewkesbury is a lovely place to visit.

Spot on.

Friendly and polite service throughout our stay. Huge room, good clean bathroom, comfy bed, tea/coffee. Kind enough to let us leave our car for a while after check out too. What more could one want!

It was a bit rainy… in all seriousness, the place was as expected, the staff polite and attentive. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Second visit - Great VFM

Free carpark - simple check in Large well appointed room with TV coffee/tea and ensuite bathroom large bathroom with quadrant shower cosmetics and large fluffy towels. Five minutes walk from town and close to shops pubs and eateries

Excellent, comfortable and tasty breakfast included.

This is an independent hotel so has it's own character in a very old building. The old building deeds framed on the wall are very interesting. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was large but also cosy and comfortable. The location in the centre of Tewkesbury is very handy. The breakfast is excellent. I would stay here again.

The bathroom was a bit cold and the wifi signal could be better - minor things.

Location was great

Uneven walls, floors and ceiling. Lamps above bed were covered solid in dust. Spiders and insects in room. Rock hard mattress. A shower that needed a good clean and someone to re-do the sealing around the basin. Toilet was not flushing well (lack of water and a loose handle). Cracks in the ceiling along with damp patches. Probably lots more but this is suffice.

Although very good value for money, the standard of the room fell very short.

Breakfast was good with lots of choice. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Staff were helpful with my sightseeing questions, and allowed me to keep my case there well into the afternoon on the day I left.

My room was really shabby. Old neglected furniture, and cluttered. There were holes in the wall where earlier lights had been removed and behind the door.. My bed was not made up each day. The sheets were old and didn't fit properly. The carpet was dirty and stained. The view from the window showed Biffa bins and other rubbish stored around.

Friendly welcome. Nice breakfast. Good location. Good size room. Double bed was comfortable.5

Single bed was quite hard, could feel mattress springs in parts. No hairdryer (even though was advertised)

Very happy with our stay & would stay there again

The room was adequate & the bed comfortable. The breakfast was very good. The location of the hotel was ideal for exploring Tewkesbury and having a walk alongside the river.

Lovely little hotel, right in the centre of Tewkesbury. Had everything we needed, including a great cooked breakfast. The room was very comfortable and spacious.

Clean, comfortable & friendly

Owner and waitress/cleaner was both very friendly. Bed was super comfortable, shower was hot and powerful. Breakfast room was modern and beautiful, the rooms where dated but that didn't matter to me as it was a great price and it was clean

Two great

If you want a 5 star luxury hotel go elsewhere. However if you want comfort, space, cleanliness, a great breakfast and helpful, friendly staff, on site car parking whilst in the middle of town, then the Abbey Hotel is perfect. I started and finished a 3 day cycle tour here and the owners very kindly looked after my car for me.

Adequate for the price

Location is good. Breakfast is nice and freshly cooked.

The room is very dated. Lots of dust which suggests a minor effort is made to clean the room. Bathroom roller blind was broken so couldn't let in any light. Toilet was constantly topping up and noisy. Toilet seat not fitted correctly and loose.

Not Corporate monotony but Georgian Elegance and Charm

Well positioned in town centre, tight butampleparking.warm friendly welcome with great level of local information to help make stay even better. Breakfast excelent and service very good.

The exterior building work made finding the entrance a little tricky, but such renovations in lowseason are a good sign, and of course sometimes necessary. Lack of illuminated light switches on stairs and corridors left us sometimes hunting for them in the dark. But to be fair we arrived earlier than expected and the day was dark and rainy so probably yhe light had not turned on yet. The hotel was so typical of the whole Georgian feel of the town it made one feel that any moment someone from uthe Pickwick Club would wonder in, and yes I know Dickens charecters were technically Victoria, but help illustrate essences this gem of an Hotel.

We were very pleased with our room. It was lovely and warm. The temperature outside was freezing.

The car park was a bit tight. But my husband managed OK.
