Nestled at 3700’ elevation you can enjoy a great view of the mountains while you listen to the peaceful sounds of a nearby creek or sit on the covered front porch and watch the “smoke” roll in. The 2 bedroom, 2 bath log cabin offers you all the comforts of home with lots of amenities. This two-story home gives you privacy with a bedroom and bath on each level with easy gravel access and plenty of parking for the family. 50" TV in Living Room, 32" TV in each bedroom. Sleeps 4 The FENCED-IN YARD AND GATED PORCH gives Fido the chance to roam and play. If you want to get away from it all, yet have it all, let us help make your vacation one you will not forget. We’re located about seven minutes from the Blue Ridge parkway, 2 miles from Ghost Town and a short drive over to Cherokee. Come and enjoy the area!

This property couldn't have been any more perfect for our stay! There was plenty of room for us three adults and accompanying pups and the fenced in side yard along with the gated porch made sending the four-leggers out an easy task. Speaking of the front porch it's the perfect place to watch the sun rise over the mountains and listen to Jonathan Creek running down the street below. Being very familiar with the Maggie Valley area I was excited that I could see the backside of the Soco Tower located off Soco Rd. One day when we were leaving out we came upon a small herd of Elk to which we drove by and videoed- you never know what you'll come across here!
This was a fabulous cabin that, upon entering, is everything you expect a cabin to feel like. The beds were comfy and the bathrooms large as well. Plenty of working space in the kitchen too.
If you're looking for a cabin that offers the convenience of a short distance to Maggie Valley but feels like it's deep in the foothills of Appalachia, then this is the cabin for you!

This is a very relaxing cabin. We stayed 5 days and saw elk 3 of those days on the property. The fenced in yard is quite small, but our dogs made due with it. The gravel road to the cabin is narrow and steep in places.

I have been visiting Maggie valley since I was a child. This is the first time I have stayed in Maggie valley even though we visited almost every year when I was a kid. The experience was one that I and my family will remember forever!

The living room is very comfortable, with a nice 50" smart TV anchoring the space. We enjoyed movie nights after busy days of hiking. Solid internet and wi-fi as well.
The front porch offers spectacular views and 4 great rocking chairs, and the fenced in fire pit area is great.
Overall, we found this to be a very comfortable base from which to explore the surrounding area. It's in a great location, within an easy drive of Maggie Valley, Lake Junaluska, Waynesville, the parkway, Cherokee and more. As others have noted, it's got a great remote feel, but is easy to access. The road up to the house is a bit steep, but manageable by any kind of car in the Summer - would recommend AWD in winter just in case.

You may pay more for a cabin but you can't beat this porch and the view. Management company is easy to contact and very helpful. Already looking forward to our next visit.

I was worried with this cabin allowing pets that there would be an odor, but there was not! It was very clean! Loved the fireplace and had wood delivered before we arrived. Shopped and did lots of eating out! Perfect location- close to town but secluded and private! Would definitely stay here again! Beautiful view for morning coffee!!

My daughter, 12 year old granddaughter and I had planned this trip for her Spring Break, but it had to be cancelled due to Covid . Our money was easily refunded by Premier at that time.We then tried again in June! This time it all worked out, and we had a great stay!! The cabin is beautiful inside and out....I enjoyed my coffee on the porch every morning and my wine in the evening as the sun went down. The view is beautiful with the sound of the creek in the background. We were close to the entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Great Smokey Mountains Park. I love Maggie Valley too. This cabin had the best supplied kitchen of any rental I have ever stayed in !!! Cannot think of anything negative to say about this place.... would love to come again! Thanks,,

We stayed for 13 days . The cabin was clean, great location, loved the fenced in area for the dogs with the Fire Pit. This was the best vacation experience. The cabin had everything we needed for cooking our meals and had a cozy, comfortable atmosphere. Melissa the property manager was very easy to work with. We would definitely like to stay again. Lots of waterfalls, mountain views, ski area all close by.

Wanting to go again!
Quiet with a great view. Comfortable and cozy family home. Not big but enough space to be comfortable. Well maintained. Responsive local management (Premier of Maggie Valley). Great porch with chairs. TV style tables stored inside. On the edge of a wonderful community. Close to parkway and at the edge of Maggie. Keep up the speed going up the hill to the house! The gravel road doesn’t afford much traction to a heavily loaded front wheel drive SUV!! Would like to stay again sometime at “A Smokey Hideaway”.

We had a wonderful time. The cabin was beautiful and clean. It provide everything that you could want to use. I came prepared as the directions suggested. However there were preferred supplies to use. My husband has not stop talking about the trip and the cabin. We will go to Premier Vacations when we are ready to come again and definitely stay at the Smokey Hideaway if available. The people that you deal with are professional and helpful. The owners couldn't ask for a better management company.

My family & our two dogs had an amazing time here! We wanted something that we could come “home” to after hiking and biking with our kids, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place. This area is beautiful, away from bigger cities but close enough for a short drive if you want to do more touristy activities.

I would say that it cannot get much better for myself and my family. It is like being at home except we have a cabin, which is absolutely gorgeous! And the setting is over the top and the fireplace and fire pit are great for the children. The entrance road is a bit challenging but not over the top or to bad. I hope to stay here for many years to come.
