Located in Waterford, this lovely house for £301 per night is a great choice for your next break. Waterfront with Amazing View! A passive solar contemporary, this 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath oceanfront home offers beautiful views of Long Island Sound. The house has a large patio in the back yard fronting the water and dock. The side yard is large enough for outdoor games. There is a dock for your boat, but you will have to put it in at one of the local boat ramps. Also, please note the tides and the channel to maneuver your boat safely around the sand bars. Kayaks and canoes can be launched from house. The interior is a split floor with an open floor plan for entertaining including kitchen, dining, living areas and a half bath. Living room sofa opens to king sized bed. Sun room offers a breathtaking view, a table for dining and a small couch that also opens to a twin size bed. A few steps up to the next level are 3 bedrooms and two baths. The master bedroom has a king size bed and it's own bath with shower. The second bedroom has a Queen size bed and the smaller bedroom has two twin size beds with a loft area for young children. The location is a quiet side street in Waterford CT. tucked away from the hustle and bustle of traffic, yet a short drive to restaurants, State Parks, Theater, shopping, Casinos, Mystic and the quaint Village of Niantic. A great place for a getaway with family and friends. Available on a weekly basis Saturday at 3pm-Saturday at 11 am.

Wonderful spot, right on the water with a great solid dock for a boat and to go fishing or crabbing off of. Watch out for the tides or you can get stuck with your boat if not timed right. The low tide affords you and your little ones to walk out to sand bars that become visible. A true gem.
The cottage itself is a wonderful place. The bedrooms are away from the living space and up a small set of stairs making for a peaceful sleep even with company or little ones needing to go to bed early. We had two littles in our group for the first week and they really enjoyed the loft area in the two twin bedroom. You will have to see it for yourself. Pretty adorable!
There is plenty of bedding and towels to go around. The cottage lighting is not the best but if you play with the light switches you will find lighting along most of the ceiling which helps some. I understand why they don't want to hang lights on the gorgeous beams that traverse the expanses of the rooms. Perhaps some stronger bulbs in the lights that are there would help when playing games on rainy days or eating meals at the large dining table. The cottage was clean enough for the turnover time between people and only having one person. Janice, the property manager is wonderful to deal with, very responsive and easy to get a hold of.
Overall, we had a wonderful two week stay and will look to the great cottage for future stays.

Beautiful views from the large deck and sun room. The dock was a wonderful extra. For us the location was perfect, close to everyone else attending the wedding we were here for. It was very close to the venue, the restaurants we wanted to go to and the beaches. The loft is a great space for kids over six, the stairs were to steep for our younger grandchildren.

I’ve wanted to rent this property for several years and after our neighbors rented last summer and gave it a great review we managed to get in for a week this month. It is an older house but very well taken care of and the lawn and surrounding view of the water are breathtaking. Birds and rabbits visit when you are out on the deck and it is just the place for real relaxation. Comfortable beds and furniture are some of the added bonuses. We hope to return.

Ever changing views and the sound of the waves
I LOVE this spot! When I was a kid, we were a boating family, and this house is as close as you can get to the boating experience while on land. You can hear the waves on the shore as you wake up and smell the salt air. The patio provides incredibly relaxing and ever-changing views as the tides change. The neighborhood is charming and the location is close to lots of summer attractions. Janice is easy to work with if you need anything!

Fell in love in an instant
This is a spot with incredible, ever-changing views. So beautiful and relaxing!!! Being right on the water we got to hear the waves, birds and other natural sounds of the cove and Long Island Sound beyond. My husband and I and our two grown twenty-something children all felt comfortable and enjoyed this vacation so very much! We kayaked, used a SUP, and walked out on the sandbars. We also enjoyed walks in the nearby neighborhoods and an evening listening to music outdoors at the Eugene O'Neill theater center, which is close by. Janice the property manager is wonderful to work with and we would love to come back!

Awesome views!
The house was wonderful and we enjoyed sitting by the fire at night. There wasn't much firewood when we arrived but Janice had wood delivered the next day. (Thanks Janice, you're awesome) We loved just sitting on the porch and watching the birds, boats and sunsets. We didn't want to venture too far with the current pandemic. The house and family history is very interesting. Hope to return in the future. Have already recommended this house to other family members.

Lovely stay
Just as pictured. Very relaxing. Clean, well maintained. Plenty of room for our group. A bit weird because there was a safety drill alarm for the power plant that we heard but, other than that.. quiet, peaceful, lovely stay. Be sure to bring water shoes!

Great Vacation Spot!
We rented this house for our honeymoon and could not have picked a more perfect location. The house with it's view and location right on Long Island Sound was awesome. Janice was just as awesome from making sure we had everything we needed to recommending a couple of places to go and do. She even checked on us after a strong storm (which I might add we enjoyed watching from the sunroom looking out over the water). There is also a lot you can go and see with just a 15 minute drive. We are already thinking of renting this house again next year.

What a GREAT place! Sitting on the wonderful deck, enjoying the sun rise and sun set, a cup of coffee in hand and with the view of the water - your spirit is refreshed! The sound of the water is the backdrop of restful sleep.

Fantastic View
Property is as described. A few bumps in the road on our two week stay but Janice the property manager was very responsive as were the actual owners. The view is amazing from just about every room. All in all we enjoyed the house and the location was perfect to entertain family that is in the area. Oh and the dock was perfect for my husbands boat as long as you pay attention to the tides and the location of the sandbars.

Great getaway
We had a great week with the family here watching the tide come in and the animals entertain. Hoping next year to get some fishing in,, great location neighbors and house. It was like a home away from home. Easy process from start to finish, nothing amiss everything st our fingertips. A 4th of July for the books.

Wonderful Week!
My sister and I had a wonderful week at this location. The house was in pristine condition and fully equipped with everything we needed. The stair lift was a great plus, as I use a walker and getting to the second floor was so much easier with the stair lift. The cove provided endless beautiful vistas—it was such a pleasure sitting on the deck and looking out at the water. The proximity to Niantic, with its stores and boardwalk, was great. And beaches were easily reachable. Janice, the property manager, was extremely nice and very helpful. All in all, I can heartily recommend this venue. Joellyn Ausanka

Morning, Afternoon, and Evening -- Always beautiful waterfront views! (stayed August 11th to 18th
We had fun as well as a very memorable time. The adults took our grandchildren (ages 2 through 6) out to the sandbars at low tide on several occasions.The kids ran around the sandbars and had lots of fun. In fact, the dock at the house made it much easier to carry the kids out to the sandbars. We found the house to be well-stocked with everything we needed. FYI: Across the Cove near Pleasure Beach on Shore Road, there is a small convenience store that also makes sandwiches, etc. We went to the Children's Museum in Niantic, ate in the local ice cream parlor, and explored the town shops and restaurants. Also, we took a trip to Mystic. Other than that, we enjoyed those beautiful waterfront views from the back patio of the house! Lots of interesting water activities: boats, jet skis, kayaks, sail boats, and the unique "bird life!" No need to travel far. It all happens right there in the Cove! Sharyn & family

Great House / Great Location
The house was clean and comfortable and right on the water. We rented kayaks for a few days and kept them at the house. We really enjoyed exploring the area. Property manager was super nice and very easy to work with.

Great waterfront home close to everything!
We recently stayed here for a week and had a great experience. The home is lovely and spacious, it is right on the water and has a great view. Although there is a powerplant nearby, because the house is in a cove, you can't see it at all. The home is in very nice condition, it has everything you will need, including dishes, cooking utensils, towels, sheets, etc. The home has fabulous views of the water, though it is not a beach house. however Rocky Neck beach is a 10 minute drive away and is one of the nicest beaches in Connecticut. There is a great patio overlooking the water and the boat dock with a nice retractable awning for shade when you need it. It has a newer gas grill which worked well for our World Cup cookout! There were a couple of minor issues which were resolved immediately by the property manager who is very available and very responsive to concerns. I even brought my dog who loved hanging out on the waterfront patio and had a great time as well. The house is close to everything, we made numerous trips to Mystic (25 minutes tops) for the museum and the great restaurants there as well as to the outlets in Clinton (a bit farther). There is a great little breakfast place right nearby called "When Pigs Fly" or something like that, great local joint with good food (heads up- cash only). It is also a nice area for biking, I did a good amount of biking around the cove. The only real issue we had was the internet service is not that reliable, both my girlfriend and I lost service and connections frequently, it would eventually come back but was annoying. Might be something worth trying to fix, I got the impression that the local cable company is not exactly state of the art....but that was really a minor distraction and overall would highly recommend this vacation rental!
