About this condo rental
Nestled in Blowing Rock, this attractive condo for £210 per night is a great choice for your next break. Come enjoy a safe getaway in the beautiful High Country! High speed internet for work or school distance learning. Blowing Rock entered Phase 2 reopening May 22nd with restaurant dine-in at 50% capacity, main street retail is open for shopping and parks are open for outdoor activities like hiking and fishing. Area attractions are opening. Check their websites for details. Chetola Resort has taken special precautions and we have implemented additional cleaning procedures for your safety. Holly 5 is located in the beautiful Chetola Resort, a gated community rated by Southern Living as "one of the best stays in the Blue Ridge" with a gorgeous lake with swans, walking trails, restaurant with seating in and out, indoor pool, health spa, tennis courts and much more. A one level, upstairs end unit with a large, covered balcony, offering views of the beautiful mountain landscape, this fully renovated unit evokes the rustic mountain atmosphere with its shiplap and reclaimed wood accents; yet with all the modern conveniences of today. Free Wi-Fi, a 48” HD flat-screen TV, gas log fireplace with remote, and all new furnishings as well as a fully stocked kitchen with granite counter-tops and stainless appliances are just a few of the comforts we offer. The bright and open floor-plan lends itself to easy and relaxed living at its best. The master suite has a king bed and spa bath with granite counters, large jetted tub and separate tile shower. The second bedroom has a queen bed and full bath just outside in the hallway. Cool-gel memory foam mattresses and upscale linen will help you get a great night`s sleep and be ready for next day`s adventures. A queen sleeper sofa in the living room accommodates two additional guests. This unit offers access to all club amenities at Chetola: rec center with fitness, indoor pool, dry sauna, 10 person hot tub; tennis courts and paddle boats. Massages and other spa services are available for a fee. Fishing is also available and skeet shooting is available for a fee. Just a 15-20 minute walk away is Blowing Rock, a scenic mountain village with quaint stores, coffee shops, galleries, antiques, friendly merchants, gourmet restaurants, and beautiful scenery. If you prefer outlet shopping, we are a 10 minute walk from the Shoppes on the Parkway. The charming and larger town of Boone and Appalachian State University are only a 10 minute drive away. 18 hole golf courses are just around the corner. Adjoning the property is Moses Cone State Park. It offers miles of walking trails and Bass Lake for you anglers. Take the day to drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway and visit Grandfather Mountain or Linville Gorge and Caverns, or visit Tweetsie Railroad, go snow skiing, horseback riding, or whitewater rafting. . Year round events include the Symphony by the Lake, the Blowing Rock Winterfest Polar Plunge, and the Blue Ridge Wine Festival. You can feel very safe in Chetola with gate guards and security. There is a wonderful on-site restaurant with a cozy bar and friendly, helpful staff. In the summertime you may be offered s’mores roasted over a fire-pit by the lake. Every summer the Charlotte symphony visits and plays on the grounds overlooking the lake, where you may bring a picnic. You may also fish, walk or paddle-boat around the lake in the summer. The tennis courts are located just outside the condo, and hiking trails start right outside the door. Enjoy pleasantly warm days, and cool nights in the summer or enjoy a winter wonderland during ski-season. The tennis courts are not lighted and are not open after dark. Whether you are looking for a family vacation or a romantic get-away, you will always look forward to coming home to Chetola. Payment is due as follows: 50% upon reservation; balance at least 4 weeks prior to stay; lock-box combo with key will be provided within three days of your stay. Cancellation refund is 100% within 14 days of stay and 50% within a week. We highly recommend buying late cancellation insurance protection, since there are no exceptions to this rule. This is a pet-free unit.

This was a clean, updated, nicely furnished condo in Chetola Resort. It provided a home base for 2 adult couples who were having an away weekend in Blowing Rock. The gas fireplace was appreciated. We checked out the live music and beverages at the Bob Timberlake Lodge, but otherwise ate all of our meals out. Our short visit did not allow us to use the included indoor pool and spa, but they looked nice. One person in our party took the nearby hiking path back to Bass Lake and gave it the thumbs up.

Convenient to downtown, Moses Cone and Boone. Chetola Resort is beautiful and there is plenty to do on the property.
The unit itself is well appointed with beautiful furniture, a nice mountain motif, and quality cookware, though the master bathroom is showing its age.
The one negative is having zero contact from the owner.
I typically get at least one message from the owner of a rental asking if we need anything. We had no contact during or after our stay.

Fireplace wasn’t working, the pilot light was off, fireplace and mountain get-a-way just seem to go hand in hand. We contacted owner and property manager without it repaired during our stay. There were four towels, two hand towels, and four clean wash cloths. My adult daughter used a washcloth to dry after her shower. When the owner replied to my inquiry, I was told that we checked in so soon that the clean laundry was in the dryer. Check in time was 4PM, we arrived after 5PM. I believe this was information that should have been shared.
The toilet seat and a hook was broken in the master bath. I didn’t bother contacting the homeowners about something so trivial since their response always implied that they couldn’t be bothered with their property or us.
My family was great, we had a good time, but the property was not as presented.

A friend and I wanted to get away for a couple days and enjoy The Town of Blowing Rock and it’s festive lights. Chetola was beautifully decorated with many outdoor holiday themes in lights around the pond! The condo is quite and close to the trails for a winter hike.

We had an excellent experience staying at this lovely condo at Chetola Resort. It was comfortable, clean and convenient. The back deck was a favorite for reading and drinking our coffee in a peaceful setting. The kitchen was well stocked and met our needs. The Chetola restaurant and grounds were beautiful and the staff was helpful and friendly.
