After enjoying the pleasures that San Luis Obispo County has to offer, whether it’s wine tasting, Hearst Castle, or amazing coastline, this comfortable one bedroom offers a central location and so many options for a relaxing evening. Take a leisurely stroll to the owner’s tasting room on 12th St. downtown for a complimentary wine of Bushong Vintage Company’s award winning wines. This cozy hideaway can easily host up to four people in comfort on the king size memory foam mattress in the bedroom and the American Leather fold out sofa with a Temperpedic mattress (also king size). It is conveniently located close to the Mid-State fairgrounds, the Paso Marketplace, six blocks from the grocery store, and nine easily walkable blocks from beautiful downtown, which offers wine tasting, dining, and shopping. This is our local hospitality venture, but we invite you to look at our Joshua Tree vacation rental (VRBO #749252). We have an excellent hosting history and look forward to hosting you for your Paso Robles adventure.

The Winemaker’s Hideaway was the perfect VRBO to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary! It has the perfect ambiance with a modern touch and retro feel of the record player which we throughly enjoyed. We enjoyed the quaint beautiful patio overlooking the quiet hillside and deer which greeted us on several occasions. Centrally located near downtown and various wineries. We highly recommend the hideaway! And, look forward to returning.

We usually travel with a larger group to Paso and rent larger homes, but this trip was just me and my wife and this small-bedroom unit was perfect. Clean with really nice furnishing and care taken by the owners to provide nice little touches through to make our stay wonderful. Would highly recommend to anyone looking small, clean location close to downtown Paso Robles.

Everything was new and clean on the inside as pictured. The outside pictures are outdated and do not depict the current condition of the landscaping. Because we had a very small dog we had to drive several blocks to take our pet potty. This was entirely my fault for not asking more questions before booking but made it challenging to relax and enjoy ourselves. The access is a bit steep and the stairs are narrow. The inside is extremely clean and comfortable. The beautiful green views do not depict the summer landscape. Both sides of the street are full of foxtails and stickers which are not good for any dog. The host was very responsive to issues we had during our stay.

Beautiful little home exactly as pictured. Tastefully furnished with a fully equipped kitchen ( seriously, how many rental kitchens have a stand mixer!) and very comfy king sized bed. Built in 2018, it still feels brand new and very clean. Quiet location at the end of a suburbian block with a pretty hillside view from both the living room and bedroom . It was pouring rain in Paso Robles when we were there, but there were no issues with parking or flooding. The owner has a downtown tasting room and offered a complimentary tasting to us after we checked in, a lovely way to start the weekend. Thank you for everything Jason, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We stayed here maybe 5 or 6 years ago. So glad we came back. The apartment is in a great location. We had our not social rescue and the area is nice an quiet but still close to downtown and getting to the various wine areas was very convenient. The place is very well stocked and super clean. We will definitely be back.

Perfect spot for weekend getaway
Jason and Lisa's place is great location, close to everything in Paso and a great anchor for winery touring. Super clean, high end appliances, built for purpose and of course the record player and volume of records is pretty cool! We'll be back.

The apartment is clean, in excellent shape, and is beautifully appointed. In particular, the appliances were of extremely high quality.
Our main complaint is that the owners neglected to inform us about how to get into the property. This finally got worked out, but only after much time wasted and much anxiety.
The dvd player did not work. The owners supplied another one, but left it to us to install it.
We did not know how to work the heating/air conditioning system. When we cooked a meal, the air conditioning went on, causing the gas burners to fluctuate wildly.
We were surprised to have to go up a fli. ght of stairs to get to the living space, and this was an inconvenience for us, since we are old and not strong. Maybe we should have thought to ask about stairs. We always do this with motels, but it has never been a a problem with vacation wentals before.

Stellar!
A real gem, this apartment is beautiful!! Immaculately clean and everything is in like new condition. We love the decorations, the bed was super comfortable, the deck and view from the big living room window were killer, and we really enjoyed listening some great records in the collection they had available. Everything was awesome, including Jason who we met at his tasting room and where we enjoyed some great wine. We highly recommend this place and will come back. Thanks!

LOVE this place!
We were fortunate to book another getaway at Jason and Lisa's Paso Hideaway. It is such a cozy and clean place and perfect for two or three people. Jason and Lisa are so good at communicating before our stay and are local in case we need to contact them. They informed us of construction happening on the hill prior to our stay. We did not experience any noise or dust flying around. We look forward to a future stay here! Thanks!

A Great Stay Close to Downtown
This place matched its listing. What a great find! It was clean and had all the right amenities. It is the perfect place for a couple and a short walk to downtown. The neighborhood was quiet with the exception of on-and-off construction on the hill across from the property. The owners contacted us before our stay to let us know, but it was really not bothersome to us. Jason and Lisa were great hosts. Check-in and -out was easy and they were very easy to communicate with. The living space was comfy and the deck is perfect to hang out in the afternoon or evening as it faces east. I have recommended this place to friends already and would stay here again in the future.

Great Stay in Paso
Overall we really enjoyed our stay. Place was very clean and well appointed. The only very small negatives were that the TV wasn’t working, there was some construction noise in the morning (which we were warned about) and the fitted sheet kept riding up in the middle of the night. I would suggest buying a better quality fitted sheet that is deeper so that it doesn’t continue to come up. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Paso Robles Wine Trip
The property itself is updated and in very good condition. The neighborhood itself is a simple middle-class neighborhood. Our chief complaint was that there was construction going on directly across the street, heavy equipment is continuous use to build a water tower. The streets were littered with construction equipment, construction workers, and dirt/mud. The daily start time of 7AM was not ideal. This is not the fault of the property owner, just unfortunate timing that the construction lined up with our vacation.

Amazing Bed
Property was as advertised. Clean, totally up to date with all new everything. Kitchen well appointed with anything you need to have an amazing stay. Property well decorated and attention to detail is felt throughout the rental. It was quiet and off the main part of town.

Would give this VRBO rental 10 stars if we could
A lovely, beautiful, well-thought out on detail & decor 1 bedroom apartment. Everything was new, incredibly clean, lacking for nothing. We hope to stay there again sometime. Many thanks to Lisa & Jason.

The winemakers hideaway is an amazing property. The kitchen is equipped with everything you will need. There are plenty of blankets if it's cold and there is also a ceiling fan if it's hot! The owners have really put time and thought into making their guests comfortable. The apartment is modern yet comfy. I highly recommend this hideaway!

Perfect Getaway Spot for Wine Lovers
We were very pleased with the "Winemaker's Hideaway" in Paso Robles. We enjoy wine tasting and this was a great spot to check out the 200-300 wineries in the area. The house had everything we needed -- comfy bed, spacious rooms, complete kitchen. The only thing we didn't get to enjoy was the outdoor patio furniture -- no fault of Jason/Lisa -- as the weather was too cold. If we find ourselves back in Paso in warmer weather, we'd return here and hope to take advantage of the outdoor amenities as well.

Clean and beautiful space!
We had a wonderful stay at Jason and Lisa’s apartment! The space was immaculately clean and beautifully decorated, we felt very comfortable and right at home. Communication with the hosts was quick and easy, they even let us know when the apartment was cleaned and ready for us to check in as we needed to check in a little early. We were in town for a wedding and the location was perfect for easily getting to all of the festivities and our own touring and wine tasting. If we find ourselves traveling to Paso Robles in the future we would certainly book this place again!

What a gem!
We were in Paso Robles for a little wine tasting and to attend a wedding. My husband found this little gem and I didn't stop praising him all weekend! The minute you walk in it just smells fresh, clean and new! The kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed. I loved how opening the french doors to the deck just kind of increased your living space. We had fun with the record player and vinyl! I just can't say enough about this wonderful spot and the craftsmanship with which it was put together. Reminded me of my dad's handywork! It was nice to sit on the deck and watch deer run across the hill across the street. So relaxing! My only recommendation would be to put a black-out shade on the small window in the bedroom. The neighbors porch light is on all night and the sun comes up right into that window, so it is light all night long and early in the morning. The bed, by the way, was fantastic! Memory foam, huge and SO comfortable! Thank you so much for an amazing stay! We will definitely be back!

Awesome apartment within walking distance of downtown Paso Robles
The apartment was perfect for our little weekend getaway to wine taste/buy. The new one bedroom apartment was clean and well stocked even though we didn't do any cooking. There are just too many good places to eat in Paso. The owners have an eclectic collection of music which was perfect for us. We found some great new music to listen to. And we loved the old school vinyl.
A bonus was the wine tasting at the owners tasting room about a half mile or so away in downtown Paso. The wines were unique and we enjoyed all of them. We took home a bottle of Albarino, a Petite Syrah/Syrah blend and a Tannat. Don't see 100% Tannat very often.
We will definitely be back.
