Our beautiful spacious Bungalow is near the sea in a truly spectacular location, overlooking Ballinskelligs Bay, the Atlantic and the Mountains. Lohar Beach House has been designed to optimise its prominent position overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and to provide light, spacious, luxurious accommodation. In our opinion and those of friends and customers who have visited the property, the views are unsurpassed and the sunsets create a romantic setting. It is the ideal choice for: Golf, Fishing, Diving, Riding, Walking, Surfing, Beach combing and many other outdoor activities also, touring the Ring of Kerry. Being easily accessible from Cork, Shannon & Kerry Airports it's a favourite of both the worlds Top Golfers who play the renowned Links courses and anglers who have access to the best Sea and Game Fishing in Europe. If you prefer driving we are easily accessible from all ferry routes including the new Roscoff to Cork Service which is ideal for mainland European travellers. Lovely place, clean and spacious. All very easy (1st time using a service like this). Was able to host friends for a celebration meal (oven is big) and everyone was impressed with the overall setup. View is amazing.

We loved our stay - the house is spectacular. Every room has large windows and you really feel part of the beautiful mountains and ocean that surround you! It was perfect for the three of us - we had our own space as well as the large living room to hang out together. My teenage boys loved playing chess! The short walk to the beautiful beach is unforgettable and probably our favorite memory of our entire trip to Ireland. Marcelle was very responsive and everything was easy. We will be back!

My husband and I stayed here for 4 days and loved every minute of it! Incredible views and plenty of room to spread out, all the amenities of home plus some. A little hicup checking in that was quickly taken care of and everything else went smoothly. Enjoyed the ocean view with waves & bird calls in the background.

We absolutely loved the Loher Beach House. Marcelle was a wonderful and very communicative host. If you want to fully experience the ancient beauty of southwest Ireland, this is the place for you. The only regret I have is that we could not stay here longer. Beautiful home in an amazing setting. We absolutely loved it! Thank you Marcelle.

The home is absolutely beautiful, with gorgeous views all around. It was clean, spacious, and welcoming and only a few minutes from a lovely town. We truly did not want to leave! Marcelle made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed.

We enjoyed our week in this lovely home. The owner was very nice and helpful. All ensuite bathrooms are very nice, water pressure was excellent. The internet worked well in the house, although did not reach to the patios at all. The view is stunning in this remote location. The kitchen is well equipped which is handy as there is nothing in walking distance. We would definitely return!

Ireland vacation
The house was amazing and perfect. It was impeccably clean, well stocked, and very comfortable. The location was exactly what we were looking for to find solitude and a great place to take day trips from. Amazing views from the front windows and the patio. Easy quarter mile walk to the rocky beach access. Easy drive into Waterville for restaurants and amenities. Communication with the host was easy, professional, welcoming and responsive. Staying at this house was our favorite part of our trip. We look forward to coming back.

Magnificent Ballinskelligs Bay
A perfectly located, detached, spacious, quiet bungalow with 3 double bedrooms and open plan kitchen-diner-lounge. The surrounding nature and landscape are nothing short of stunning, although we were perhaps lucky to have absolutely perfect weather throughout our stay. Toor Beach is also magical, with sand, rockpools and plenty of space, just a short walk away. We loved it here.

This is a wonderful home .., everything is spotlessly clean , the appliances in the kitchen are awesome, lots of hot water and comfy beds. The view is fantastic and you are close to lots of interesting and beautiful places . We enjoyed our time immensely.

The home is beautiful with stunning views. Everything is well kept and top quality. Easy checkin in and check out and host and manager were accommodating and helpful. Lots of half day or day trips if you like, but if you just want to take a walk and take in the beautiful scenery of Ireland you have that as well. 110% I will stay here again! The only thing I would request is that some basic essentials such as bath soap, shampoo and the like would of been nice . We arrived after a long day of travel and were unable to shower and clean up as the stores were closed and we had no bathing soaps. A spot of tea would of been wonderful as well.

Sheep and cows were some of our neighbors which we loved and there were many places to hike throughout our stay. There is a large rock in the yard and we sat on this every morning to drink our coffee and again at night with a bottle of wine. We would just look out over the amazing scenery around us. There are several beautiful golf courses in the area as well. All of the locals are extremely friendly and we met some very nice people during our stay here. We never turned on the tv while we were there, we just enjoyed the peacefulness and beauty of this part of Ireland. I would highly recommend this property and look forward to hopefully returning one day.

Beautiful property
This is a beautiful house is a spectacular location. The house was spotlessly clean and had everything you could need. We have stayed in many rental properties and this was by far the best equipped. The owners are very organised and have all the information you could need on the house and the surrounding areas. We both brought bikes and enjoyed many cycling trips. Fabulous holiday, we enjoyed every day. Highly recommended!

Stunning house in a beautiful location
Five ladies staying here, one in a wheelchair. We all had an amazing time.
Everything in the house is of a very high standard - the kitchen has all the equipment you could possibly need, the beds, sheets and towels top quality, and the light oak wood flooring and tables and chairs give a natural and warm feeling. The whole atmosphere of the house is spacious and yet cosy and welcoming.
John was so helpful during booking, in the weeks leading up to our trip, and then when we arrived - best way to get there, things to see, and how to get the best from the house.
We had great meals out locally, lunches and dinners - especially the Smugglers Inn and QC's. Everyone was very friendly and helpful on all our visits around Kerry, and we especially loved travelling around the Skerrig Ring for the views and places to see.
Overall we loved our holiday and definitely hope to return.

The big difference
We have seen quite a few houses in Ireland and I must say, this house makes a difference. Very clean, bright, comfortable, dry (even in the cold and wet climate this summer), spacious are some of the words that come into my mind when I think about the house. The owners are very friendly, caring and helpful at all times. The pictures of the spectacular view speak for themselves. Our kids loved the garden which is beautifully arranged. We would definitely come back for our next stay.

Irish Vacation Dream
I can't express enough the quality of this house and its owners. My family and I decided to take a trip to Ireland, so as the planner of the family, I started my search for the perfect place to accommodate my three children (8,8, and 6), my husband and I and my sister. This house is by far one of the nicest we've ever stayed in - and I assure you we travel regularly.
The location is amazing. To sit outside on the patio and overlook the view was one of our favorite ways in which to relax. The kids loved the big yard to kick a soccer ball around or stand at the property line and moo at the neighboring cows. From the house, there are several stretches of roadway and hiking paths to work off all the Guinness beer. The house contains all the luxuries needed - whether in the kitchen, in the bathrooms, in the bedrooms or in the yard. We even BBQ'd on the grill one evening. The house is spacious enough for six people to get some moments alone but small enough to feel comfortable and homey. We simply LOVED staying here and when we return to Ireland, we will most definitely stay here again.
But aside from the accomodations themselves, the owners are fabulous. From the minute I inquired about the property, John was eager to help. He provided numerous suggestions on things to do and places to see. The day after we arrived, he called us at the house to check on how things were and offer more suggestions. He was available for questions at any point - I simply emailed him and he got back to me right away. He was just a pleasure.
If you are looking for a place to stay on the Ring of Kerry, I would highly recommend staying here. The views are spectacular. The house is beautiful and comfortable. The owners are amazing and Waterville is a quaint town filled with wonderful people. We loved our Irish vacation!

You will LOVE this house
My husband and I have been renting houses for 16 years in Ireland and this house is without a doubt the best house we have ever rented. The house was spotless when we arrived and we were greeted by Penny the wonderful housekeeper. The location is stunning and so peaceful. John and Ann have thought of every detail to make this house incredible, the kitchen was so well equipped we did not go out for dinner once, the beds so comfortable we drifted off in minutes. The living room was the perfect place to chill after a day of hiking with it's beautiful views, wonderful fireplace and very comfy furniture.
The yard and garden were beautiful as well. I love this house and hope to return next year. Thank you John and Ann for sharing your amazing home I would highly recommend, it is perfect!!!
