What a flexible property for a family group -great location, lovely pool and bedrooms which are a great size and all ensuite

Had an absolutely fabulous 2 weeks staying at Casa San Marco. The accommodation was second to none. The interiors were brilliantly finished throughout and all the facilities you could possibly think of were available at the villa. The bar and games room adjacent to the pool made for a really relaxing and fun time on our holiday.

Lovely modern, spacious, clean villa, within easy walking distance to a few restaurants and local bars in the village. Mark the host was very welcoming, will definitely be back. Great for a relaxing holiday .

The villa is just as in the pictures, bright and modern. There were a few things I wish I had been aware of before staying here. The 'blue' bedroom is situated in the basement to the rear of the games room and not accessible from the main house, because of this we chose not to use it. In August the sun is on the pool from about 10.30/11 am until 6pm. The pool is small, ok for a few games and to cool off but not really big enough for swimming. The electricity trips over and over again if you use the oven unless everything else is turned off. There are a few noisy dogs in the vicinity. All of this said we did have a good time and the villa has everything you need. Mark the property manager is extremely helpful and responds quickly to any issues, e.g. the pool pump failed whilst we were there and it was fixed within 48 hours.

What a great experience, as soon as we arrived we were warmly welcomed by the host. The villa is modern, clean and well appointed. The services offered were up to our expectations and there is nothing to complain about home equipment (TV, wardrobe, furniture, kitchen, laundry)

A beautiful well maintained villa in a quite area, we had a lovely relaxing chilled out holiday at the villa. The owner agent Mark was very helpful prior to us visiting the property and during our stay. We were a family of four adults and would definitely return to the villa if we have the opportunity.

Mark was a wonderful host. We had the perfect holiday. The house is very big and very functional. The pool is great, very good filtering. It has everything you need to live, and everything is high quality. Very clean! Very calm neighbourhood, close to the beach (7min by Car), close to Portimão, walking distance to supermarket.

We have stayed at a few villas but this one has been the best. From the help Mark Cole gave us from local questions to hiring a car - excellent service!! To a villa which suited a group of 7 adults, there was plenty of space to have personnel space as well as communal areas. It was very well laid out and kept to a high standard. The location was great for us as we wanted a quiet place but with easy access to the local town - an evening walk of 40 minutes was lovely. Would definitely recommend villa, location and management.

The villa was spotlessly clean and the check in process simple even though we were late arriving due to a delayed flight, this wasn't a problem for Mark who was there to meet us and show us around. We made full use of the bbq and outdoor seating area which was plenty big enough for all 8 of us. The pool was great and we all enjoyed the games room. We hired a car which is required if you want to go into the town although we did have a taxi into Carvoeiro one night and it only cost around 6 Euros. There are a number of cafes and restaurants within walking distance and a very well stocked supermarket less than 5 minutes walk away. This is our 9th year holidaying in villas in The Algarve and this is the best villa we have stayed in.

We had a lovely 10 days at the villa. We are a family group of seven adults and there was more than enough room here for all of us. We spent many fun filled evening in the games room. All the rooms a spacious and it is very clean throughout. There are a few good places to eat and a little shop all in easy walking distance. We hired a car and enjoyed Ferragudo in the day and took a taxi there in the evening. Alvor was our favourite beach, miles of white sand and nice places to eat, it's a lovely old town. Mark was really helpful from our first contact with him when booking the villa. He met us at the villa on our arrival, gave us great information for our stay and did everything he could to make our stay perfect. Thank you Mark and team for a great holiday.

This is an ideal villa for a large family; we travelled with our son daughter and 3 grandchildren aged 9,7 and 5. The Villa is easy to find and is located in the quiet suburb of Sesmarias. The town of Carvorio is approx 4Ks away. The Villa is spacious and very well appointed with 5 bedrooms comfortable living room and modern kitchen with all necessary equipment. The basement has a great games room with pool table and bar with a cinema room with big screen TV and play station. The swimming pool is a good size with plenty of space for fun and games as well as a large area for relaxing. We were met by Mark who was very helpful in answering all our questions and queries, nothing was too much trouble. This is a wonderful villa to spend a great holiday and I have no hesitation in recommending.

This villa was perfect for our family. It was very comfortable, well furnished and ideally located. Mark was outstanding in helping us get oriented, answering questions and our requests. Sesmarias has a couple nice restaurants and a local shop for food within walking distance, and Carvoeiro is the closest beach and a wonderful small Portuguese village. Our family had a great time and would come back again.

Two family’s away for a week, the villa had everything we needed. The owners have thought of everything. 4 adults and 4 kids and we all had space. This villa was better than the pictures, highly recommended. Mark welcomes us and was on hand to check alls well. Helpful with local shopping and eating out places too. The pool and games area was excellent for kids and the grown ups. Highly recommended.

I would like to thank your agent Mark for meeting us at the property and taking care of any questions we had during our stay in Sesmarias. We had emails before and during our stay and nothing was too much trouble for him. The property was perfect, the rooms spacious and clean and exactly as described on the website, close to local restaurants and the seaside. Thnak you for a perfect property, we will definitely stay again.

We were a family of 6 adults and one child of 2.5yrs. The layout of the villa gave us ample space and the 5 en-suite bathrooms was a real clincher. All fixtures and fittings were of the highest quality and the place was spotlessly clean. Mark was on hand to welcome us in and gave a good account of all the facilities and was on hand to give advice help with any queries. The games room and downstairs TV room was a real bonus and enjoyed by all. We spend many hours playing darts and pool. The swimming pool itself was sparkling clean and we had hours of family fun as the weather was superb. We used the barbeque every day and with downstairs kitchen and dishwasher on hand this was really easy. In all if you are looking for a relaxing holiday in a 5 star villa within 5 mins drive of Carvoerio you can't go wrong. Carvoerio itself has a wonderful vibe and we enjoyed a few evenings listening to live music which turns into and outside disco in the nicest possible taste. Good quality restaurants are plentiful but parking can tricky. You really need a car as its a very hilly 30 minute walk, but taxis are plentiful It was a special family holiday this year, but we had such a great time it wont be long before we return

We loved everything about this villa and its location. Completely spotless with everything thought of. Well equipped and literally home from home. Lives up to the beautiful photographs and more! Every room was gorgeous. We stayed for 2 weeks and got a mid-stay clean after the 1st week. The lady who cleaned, called Jo, was lovely and not only changed all the bed linen and towels but did a proper clean. Not many villas I have stayed in offer that level of service. Mark welcomed us on arrival which was a nice touch and was there at the end of phone if we had any questions during our stay. Our 2 boys, aged 10 and 12, loved the games room, as did my husband! WiFi could be pretty slow are times but that was not unexpected. There was a mini supermarket just 5 mins walk away that sold fresh bread each morning and a fabulous restaurant called Louisa next door to it. We ate there twice in the evenings and were not disappointed, although we did have to book. Another lovely restaurant 10 mins walk from the villa is Oregano, which is great for families. We hired a car and went to Carvoeiro most evenings as it had a huge selection of places to eat. You could walk to it but we opted for the car rather than the up hill hike back! I'd recommend hiring a car and taking advantage of visiting the nearby towns. The nearest beaches were quite small so very busy in July, however, we drove to Praia do Alvor (20 mins in car) and loved it there. Huge beach with 2 lovely restaurants. Overall I'd thoroughly recommend staying at this villa. We enjoyed many relaxing days by the pool. Very peaceful place to stay, great views from the top floor. We will definitely be back!

As a villa owner myself I can appreciate the problems and weekly issues a rented property can deliver. What we have experienced the last week is a beautifully renevated place that has AC in all rooms and fully modernised throughout. If you want your uk programmes the TV has those available. The pool was a lovely size for us. The downstairs bedroom is set up as a separate area with a pool table, TV & mini kitchen/fridge. Mark was at hand for any issues were any to arise , by phone or in person. Location is ideal with local restaurants a short walk or the 25min walk down to carvoeiro for a varied entertainment/food/shops , it's like a mini alberfueria. We hope to return and mark stated he has a good amount of booking already this year and some 2019 Book it as soon as you can and sit back with the knowledge you will Be renting a great holiday base for all the family/friends

Fabulous villa, had everything you need and more! Plenty of space and entertaining areas. Perfect for all ages. Mark was so helpful throughout the booking process and in person when we arrived and made sure we had everything for our 18 month old - thank you so much! Location wise also very good, some lovely restaurants nearby, particularly reccomend Lucia’s and Dos Santos. The latter is a newly opened microbrewery and the views and food (mainly tapas) were stunning!! Also half an hour walk into Caroveiro. Overall, a brilliant holiday! Take me back!

It’s so refreshing when your expectations are not only reached .... but surpassed! This villa is wonderful. Anyone who stays here will want to return. It is beautifully decorated and there is so much space for everyone. We had a family group including teenagers and the pool/games area was brilliant for them to enjoy their own space. On arrival, Mark showed us around and ensured we knew where everything was. There was even complimentary wine/beer to enjoy which was such a nice touch. Mark was on hand at all times and answered initial queries about tv and WiFi without any delay. If you need a fabulous villa in a peaceful, residential setting, this is it. Our only (very small) issue was that the pool was not heated and was chilly for the oldies in May (the young ‘uns didn’t care!). Mark said it was unusually cold the preceding months so other villa guests visiting in May will probably be fine. All in all, brilliant. Would definitely recommend. 😃�

Absolutely loved the villa. I’ve never stayed somewhere that’s so equipped for any occasion, Marks quite literally thought of everything. The villa itself is finished to such a high standard and I’m one of them annoying people who likes to point things out being a builder myself but this place was rather impressive! With the villa being a very short taxi ride into a town (which I can’t rembember the name of) with plenty of bars and restaurants it was the perfect location for us, out the way enough from the “riff raff” but close enough to go into town every evening for food and drinks. Mark was absolutely brilliant at helping out with questions and any struggles we had. I wouldn’t have to think twice about going back, had a blast!

Villa has all you want and more. Everyone has their own space with 5 ensuite bedrooms. Great leisure areas and the bar area was much used with a few games of darts and pool. Shaded dining in the barbecue corner was fabulous and the downstairs kitchen and fridge a few steps away. The pool was refreshing and surrounded by comfortable lounges and a corner sofa unit. There are plenty of umbrellas when the sun is too hot. The villa is so well designed and thoughtfully furnished it is very hard to find fault!

We had booked Casa San Marco for a family get together and picked this one as it looked very classy, luxurious, clean and comfortable with lots of amenities both in the local area and at the property. We really liked the idea that it had a games room - pool table, darts board etc which we thought would be great when we had other family members (who were also staying locally) round for a BBQ etc. When we arrived, we were blown away by the exceptionally high standard of this property - nothing but high quality items from bedding, to furniture and kitchen utensils had been sought for this high quality holiday villa and it was clear that a lot of thought had gone into this property. Mark (who manages the property locally) was great. He responded to our email queries promptly when we were looking to book the property and was on hand to show us around upon arrival. He was also on hand when we had a couple of questions during our stay. We all agreed that we had a fantastic time whilst in Portugal, made all the more fantastic due to our stay at the very classy and stylish Casa San Marco. We would not hesitate to book it again or recommend it to friends and family.

We stayed in Villa Casa San Marco for two weeks with a mixture of family and friends. The Villa has been tastefully fitted out and is excellently equipped. The villa was very clean and has a lovely pool area and a games room .The bedrooms are comfortable and all have en-suite facilities Sesmarias is quiet but has a number of restaurants and a couple of bars, and a very good minimarket. We would recommend the Oregano Restaurant, great food at a reasonable price. Great choice of supermarkets a short drive away. Carvoeiro is a 25 min walk or 5 mins drive away. Good beaches within 5 /10 min drive. A Hire car would be needed to make the most of the area though not essential. The manager, Mark, was excellent, providing a first class service. We are already planning our return!
