Situated on its own private 10 acres in the heart of Paradise Valley surrounded by 360 degree mountain views. This Cottage is super cozy, sparkling clean, and has all the amenities of home. Cozy up in front of the living room gas fireplace, or if you prefer the crackling sound and smell of a wood burning fireplace mosey on out to the outdoor pavilion, such an amazing spot. Sit a spell on the front or side porch and enjoy the morning and evening sky color show. The location area described at bottom of listing was added by VRBO and I have been working to have it removed.We are not located in Livingston, and we are not in the mountains we are in Paradise Valley with views of the mountains and the Gallatin National forest is over an hour away.

We had an amazing stay at the lone cactus. From the views to the outdoor pavilion to the inside of the property everything was what we thought it would be and more. This will certainly be our first choice anytime we visit the region. I truly don’t think there is a better option out there!

This cabin is amazing! The views are all around! The cabin is so well done! Every detail is met! The cabin is very clean and comfortable! We enjoyed the places created for sitting outside and taking in the views.
We hope to stay again and again!

Our experience staying in this cottage was wonderful. We originally were hoping to stay on site at Chico Hot Springs. They were completely booked out and ended up staying here. Blessing in disguise. It is such a beautiful and quiet area to stay. The weather was less than desirable. We were glad to have somewhere cozy to stay. We will definitely be coming back for a summer trip. The property owners were wonderful and made communication very easy.

This place is perfect. Stunning views in every direction. You'll rarely hear any modern ambient noises (cars, planes....) but you will hear the breeze in the tall grass, birds singing, cows lowing. The owners couldn't be nicer. The property is stocked with everything you'll need. I'll definitely go back.

Amazing property in the heart of Paradise Valley! Judy and Terry were wonderful hosts and made certain to provide guidance for any guest needs. Loved meeting Amen (horse) as he is an absolute sweetheart. Comfortable furnishings, great kitchen with all amenities, a brand new covered outdoor fireplace and covered horseshoe pits. The views of the mountains are 360* and quick access to 540 for traveling. Chico Hot Springs is 10 minutes down the road as is Sage Lodge. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Lone Cactus and will be returning!

Lone Cactus
We really enjoyed the cottage. Didn’t get to enjoy areas outside due to rain. And unfortunately due to Yellowstone River flooding we had to leave a day early. Judy & Terry were very accommodating!

My husband and I booked this cabin for our visit to Yellowstone. The cabin is just as listed. It is very comfortable and has all the amenities you could ask for. The host are close by and ready to help with any need. We could not have been any more pleased with our stay.

Our stay exceeded our expectations by a long shot. Beautiful surroundings both inside and out. We were able to relax and it was so quiet! Will recommend to all family and friends as a great place to spend time and see Yellowstone as well

Beautiful Cabin, Great Location
Lone Cactus cabin was the perfect place for our quick stay in Pray! It was just as beautiful in person as it was in the pictures, exceptionally clean, and even decorated for Christmas! The hosts were very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Close to Chico Hot Springs, Yellowstone Hot Springs, and good food and entertainment at Old Saloon. We will definitely be back!

It was a quick half hour drive to the North Entrance to YNP. Chico Hot Springs is just a few miles down the road. We hope to be back to visit again someday!

We arrived later in the evening and the hosts made sure everything was ready for our arrival. Everything was well thought out and we loved the views from every room in the place. We will definitely be returning in the future and would recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a cozy stay near so many different amenities Montana has to offer!

Paradise Valley is an incredible place and this cabin is perfect. Isolated but close to Chico Hot Springs and a short drive to both Gardiner/Yellowstone and Livingston. Inside is really well laid out and cozy. We had some trouble with our car in the snow and the owners were on it with shovels and a snowplow and nothing but hospitality. We will be back for sure! This is quintessential Montana! Don’t miss this one:)

Cozy cottage
Had a wonderful experience with my family at the Lone Cactus Cottage. The views were some of my favorite in Montana. The owners were very quick to respond to questions. The location was so close to Chico Hot Springs and the cottage itself was warm, inviting and so relaxing. They had everything you needed to cook with and some spices and condiments. The fireplace warmed up the cottage pretty fast, so you don’t need it running for long. My advice is to book and remember to bring your own Shampoo and Conditioner because of COVID.

Highlight of our honeymoon
My husband and I stayed here for one night during our honeymoon road trip, but we wish we could have stayed longer :( This house and views were absolutely STUNNING to say the least! The owners were friendly and communicated everything that we needed to know before check in. I would 100% recommend anybody to stay here if you are visiting Yellowstone National Park or anywhere else in the area.

Family Summer Vacation
The location is fantastic for people who enjoy nature. The location is stunning — Mountain views from every window/porch, fantastic evening sky shows, quiet and solitude. We used it as a launch pad to Yellowstone (an easy drive) and Bozeman and Livingston. The cottage is really well appointed and the photos on line are accurate. The hosts were kind and respectful. They offered good advice. We had a great trip and will definitely seek out Lone Cactus Cottage again.

Great visit
The cottage was beautiful and spotless. We enjoyed our stay very much. Everything was exactly as listed. The location was nice as it was close to Chico Hot Springs and only a short distance from Gardiner. We saw a lot of wildlife on our drives and in the surrounding fields. We spent a good deal of time just watching the hundreds of elk that were behind the cottage.

Magical hidden gem.
What a place! Came here for a night to celebrate my birthday. Beautifully decorated with lovely Christmas touches. Comfortable bed, stunning views of the valley and mountains.
Excellent communication from the host. Secluded but accessible. 5-10 minute drive to Chico. Highly recommended and will be back!
