Located in Apulia, this attractive house for £202 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. COMPLETELY INDEPENDENT (in the months of July and August, preferably, in the months of July and August the departures and arrivals are on Saturdays-. The price is for the whole property. Charming house (true sea view,) in the historic center of Monopoli on the sixteenth century walls, a stone's throw from the sea and the enchanting sandy and rocky coves. The house has a living room, lounge, 2 bedrooms (4/5 beds), 2 bathrooms, equipped kitchen (washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, fridge,) panoramic terraces overlooking the sea (150 sqm), solarium, WiFi connection (fiber) free and unlimited, air conditioning, heating. Tastefully furnished, parquet floor. When we first stumbled upon this apartment on VRBO, it seemed almost too good to be true - a rooftop terrace and balcony over looking the Adriatic? But everything was as perfect as it looked online.
We've rented a lot of different apartments though out the years, but Alex is the one of the most thoughtful and hands on host we've ever experienced. He and his lovely wife Ada provided us with all the information we needed as they showed us around the apartment. It's roomy and comfortable and although we didn’t use the kitchen, it contains everything you need to cook an Italian dinner or a quick breakfast. The beds, real mattresses(!), and memory foam pillows(!), were extremely comfortable. Both full bathroom were clean and well lit and equipt with roomy showers. The location was incredible, easy walking to the old town and city center.
There are restaurants and bars around the apartment, but at night we closed the windows and turned on the AC and never heard a sound.
Alex was always a text away if we had any questions or issues (we had none) but checked once to see if we needed anything. They were both very considerate, leaving us a basket filled with jam, cookies and other treats and one morning Alex had dropped off two broche at our door!

We can recommend the apartment very much, since is is located in the old city centre and only 10 minutes walk from a beautiful city beach. We enjoyed the hospitality of Alex and Tocky very much.

Beautiful, spacious, well equipped apartment with brilliant outdoor space and in a fantastic location at the edge of the old town. There was absolutely nothing to fault.
The host, Alex, was an absolute star - kind and helpful and went out of his way for us.
I can’t recommend this place highly enough. Oh, and Monopoli was great as well.

We adore this apartment. Alex and Ada greeted us at 9pm with open arms, so much love and the most thoughtful welcome basket of Italian goodies. The apartment is perfect—pristine, well organized, a properly stocked kitchen and dining room, plenty of towels and bedding—very comfortable beds, the location is top notch and the outdoor dining/terraces of the apartment are absolutely perfect. You don’t want to leave the private rooftop views but you must because Monopoli and it’s surrounding day trip towns (Matera, Locorotundo, Alberobello, Polignano a Mare are dreamy). The apartment is right within old town, within minutes of every attraction, restaurant, plaza, shop, cafe, playground, beachfront walkways, grocery, pharmacy, etc. This apartment is a must stay as you’ll not only receive amazing communication from its owners but also such a warm welcome and stay. We stayed for 8 days and believe it’s perfect for couples, families and friends.

Wonderful property!
Rocky and Alex are fabulous hosts. Very responsive and when we couldn't find the house Rocky came looking for us! The property is outstanding with a great location and great view. Monopoli Old Town is just around the corner with wonderful restaurants, cafes and bars. Puglia is a beautiful area of Italy and many small towns are a short distance away. Would not hesitate to recommend this property.

Wonderful apartment in fantastic location
Our stay in this lovely, bright, cheery apartment was near flawless. The apartment itself was roomy, bright, extremely well-equipped, clean, and everything worked well. The kitchen was roomy with a large refrigerator and opened to a beautiful deck overlooking the harbor. The living and dining area was large, bright and functional. The two bedrooms were large with tons of closet space. The master bedroom had a very comfortable bed.
The property is located on the edge of the old town, and in easy walking distance to busy piazzas and restaurants. The only caution I would offer is that there are a fair amount of steps to reach the entrance of the apartment. That being said, both my wife and I are in our 70s and I have bad knees, but the steps would not be something that would keep us from staying here again should we return to Monopoli.

They went above and beyond welcoming us, helping us arrange our departure covid tests, and stocking the fridge with milk and breakfast items, and, of course, coffee! The kitchen, dining room, living room, and 2 bedrooms/1 bath, are located on the main floor. A smaller bedroom is halfway down the stair. A second bathroom is up a circular staircase that leads to the fabulous rooftop terrace. The 2 bedrooms are roomy with armoires. They are at the back of the apartment so you do hear some of the happiness of the diners below.. Windows and curtains help dim those sounds,. Nice big shower, big washer machine. You dry clothes on the terrace. After 6 days there, we were so in love with Monopoli and this apartment we didn't want to leave. It's a gift to yourself to stay here. I know it will be your best 'soggiorno!'

Wir haben 2 wunderschöne Wochen in dem tollen Appartement verbracht und können sie und die Gastgeber unbedingt weiterempfehlen. Die Wohnung ist sehr geschmackvoll und hochwertig eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Die Küche ist perfekt ausgestattet und es fehlt an nichts. Die Betten sind sehr bequem und hochwertig. Von den drei Dachterassen hat man einen fantastischen Blick in den Hafen und über Monopoli. Es ist zur Erfrischung sogar eine Außendusche vorhanden!
Alles ist fußläufig erreichbar (Bars, Geschäfte, Restaurants). Selbst der schöne Sandstrand am alten Hafen ist fußläufig erreichbar.

Sehr schön!
Die Wohnung ist wirklich sehr schön und es hat uns alles gefallen. Den Blick von der Terrasse haben nicht nur unser Sohn genossen, auch wir haben gerne den Fischerbooten und dem ständigen Treiben zugeschaut. Die Lage ist perfekt, es gibt sehr viele gute Restaurants und Geschäfte gleich in der Nähe. Alex hat uns sehr liebenswert empfangen und bestens betreut. Die Wohnung ist sehr gemütlich und liebevoll eingerichtet, sehr gute Betten und beide Bäder bestens eingerichtet. Ich habe die Dachterrasse sehr genossen, die Dusche ist perfekt und auch mit warmen Wasser ausgestattet. Es wurden sogar badehandtücher bereitgestellt! Zur Begrüßung gab es einen Obstkorb und Milch , Kaffee und Marmelade für das erste Frühstück. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen sicher wieder!

Ottima casa vacanza
La proprietà è situata alle porte del centro storico, consente di usufruire dei locali e negozi tipici pur rimanendo tranquilla.I locali sono ben disposti e comodi per 4/5 adulti, ho apprezzato la terrazza sul piano cucina dove fare colazione vista mare. Presente tutto quello che serve, compreso dei prodotti di benvenuto, gel disinfettante e mascherine.
Se si volesse elevare la proprietà ad un livello Top, il consiglio è di mantenere la manutenzione aggiornata ( zanzariere e copertura terrazza) magari la TV nelle camere, ma anche così è perfetta per una splendida e confortevole vacanza. Grazie e ci tornerei volentieri.

Best place in all of Pulgia!
Rocky and Alex are just fabulous hosts. Communication was excellent. Their apartment has been lovingly renovated. They helped with reservations and arranging a car to the Bari train station. It is heaven on earth to have our coffee on the patio overlooking the harbor.
We shall return next year.

We loved the terraces and enjoyed eating breakfast every morning overlooking the harbour. Monopoli is beautiful with lots of cafes, bars and restaurants to choose from. Everything is within walking distance including the small beach in town. We did hire a car for one day and visited some historic Puglian towns. We would love to return to Monopoli one day. Prime location in Monopoli
The spacious apartment is right above the harbor in the historic area of Monopoli. Views from the large terrace off the kitchen or from the rooftop of the many activities in the harbor. Perfect location for the many restaurants and bars in the old city, walk to grocery stores and banks. It is only 8 short blocks from the train station. No car is needed.
Alex and his son Rocco are caring hosts and offered much information. Communication is easy.
A perfect spot to enjoy the many attractions of Monopoli and nearby Towns.

Marvellous Monopoli
From the minute we arrived in Monopoli we knew it was going to be a fabulous stay! Alex, Ada and Rocky were on the spot to meet us and Rocky even parked our car!!
They were so warm and welcoming it felt like meeting up with old friends. They spent a lot of time giving us advice and directions on restaurants (which lived up to their recommendation!),beaches, markets and other towns to visit. Alex kept in touch throughout our stay to make sure everything was ok.
Their apartment is just gorgeous and spotless (it is clearly loved) with everything you could possibly need…including a huge bowl of fresh fruit, water, milk, coffee and snacks. The three terraces are amazing. The views are all terrific and different from each ther. They are also very well equipped with sun beds, table, umbrella and even an outside shower. In fact it was quite hard to leave the apartment each day!! The location is perfect…walking distance to everything including a couple of lovely little beaches. It was very warm when we arrived so the aircon was a great bonus.
We absolutely loved Monopoli with its vibrant harbour, fascinating Centro Storico, terrific restaurants, bars and shops. And there are so many interesting nearby towns to visit.
We are back in Australia now but still miss the lovely apartment and the amazing time we had there.

Fabulous apartment excellent location
We have just enjoyed a wonderful week in Monopoli. The apartment was as excellent as other reviews say. Alex and Ada were there to welcome us and provided fresh fruit, milk etc to start our holiday. The apartment was very well equipped, spacious and beautifully decorated. The central location was great for the old town, plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. We loved sitting on the balcony in an evening watching the activity in the harbour. We used the apartment as a base for trips to Alberobello, Martina Franca, Ostuni, Lecce, Matera and Putignano and found them all within reasonable driving distance. Each place had its own interest and charm. The local food and wine specialities were interesting to try and we loved the pasticioco as a treat.
We wouldn't hesitate in recommending this apartment to all our friends.

Stunning home right on the harbour
We had high expectations about this property as the website photographs and reviews were brilliant; we were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with such a warm welcome from owners Alex and Ada and their son Rocky and a huge basket of fresh fruit, coffee, Puglian savoury biscuits etc. They spent time showing us round their beautiful home (which has been given a recent make-over) and were always on call for any questions.
The house itself had wonderful views from the terraces (up a beautiful spiral stair case) of the harbour on one side and the old town on the other. We spent hours on the terrace just outside the kitchen watching the boats coming in and eating al fresco.
All the rooms were tastefully decorated with welcomed air con in each room so sleeping was easy! The kitchen was fully equipped and everything was very clean.
We would go back in a flash to this beautiful home - the location, the owners and the place itself. Not a bad word to say!

A wonderful house
Two friends and I stayed at the beginning of May for 10 days and could not have found a more perfect house. It's in an ideal location right by Monopoli harbour and very close to the old town. The thing that struck us was how well equipped it it - the owners have thought of everything from a hairdryer in each bathroom to powder for the washing machine plus an excellent wi-fi. The third bedroom is admittedly rather small but I'm 5'7" and managed!
The views from the terraces are absolutely stunning and there's always plenty of activity to keep one amused. There are shops and small supermarkets about 5 minutes' walk away and we also found some very good hairdressers.
Alex and his son are extremely pleasant and checked with us halfway through our holiday to make sure that everything was alright. An excellent property.

Perfect in puglia
We had 2 couples and stayed for one week. It was the perfect location in the perfect town. The apt was comfortable and quiet. We didn’t want to leave. It was clean and everything you needed was there. Thanks to Alex and his wife.

Wonderful apartment in Monopoli!
We enjoyed our stay in this magnificent apartment. The location was perfect and the owners were extremely helpful. They provided us with fresh fruit, coffee, jams, etc. for our first morning. Paper goods and cleaning products were plentiful. The space was more than enough for two people (we only used half of it), the bed was comfortable, the shower was large and refreshing, the air conditioning worked well, and the kitchen was well stocked. We took day trips to Alberobello, Ostuni, the Grotte Castellano, and Polignano A Mare. Free parking was available in front of the apartment. It was so nice to come home after a full day of exploring to the wonderful apartment and to sit out on the terrace to watch the fishing boats come in with their daily catch. We enjoyed our dinners in the nearby Piazza Garibaldi and found the people in Monopoli to be helpful and cheerful. We wish we could stay longer in this beautiful space.

Very nice appartment next to centro storico
We enjoyed our stay at Alex place very much! The Appartment has enough space, is well equipped and renovated. As we were 4 friends travelling wie liked, that we had 2 bathrooms, so we could be ready faster. Monopoli is a really nice town with so much nice restaurants and some bars, too. We loved the centro storico and discovered the beaches and other towns in the surrounding, too. I recommend this place for people who have in individual travel style but like some comfort, too! Wish the best for Alex and his family!

Absolutely fantastic!
We have travelled extensively, and stayed in many homes, but this house is the best we have ever stayed in. The pictures don't do it justice. The outdoor space was absolutely the part of the house we enjoyed the most. There is a large patio right off the kitchen where we spent most of our time either eating at the large table out there or enjoying the awesome view of the water and port. The roof deck is also quite large and had umbrellas and lounge chairs to lay under which was great for days we just wanted to relax and read at home.
The rest of the house is really beautiful. The whole house has been very nicely done and renovated, with new versions of everything. Bedrooms have plenty of space and shutters in addition to curtains which were great for keeping out light to sleep late in the morning. Bathrooms were wonderful as well: the showers both have great water pressure and washer was large and came in handy for washing our suits and towels. The kitchen was really nice as well with all new appliances, and a dishwasher. The kitchen is also fully stocked with everything you need to cook, knives, cutting boards, oven pots and pans, and plenty of dishes. We really appreciated the great kitchen and cooked quite a bit during our visit. Alex and his wife have put a lot of thought into the home and it didn't lack any amenities. Also the location of the house is perfect, you don't even need a car as the beach and beautiful old town full of restaurants are only a few minutes walk. The internet and the air conditioners all worked very well.
Alex and his wife were wonderful hosts, and great people in general! They treated us like family and were so kind and very attentive to anything that we might need, and went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Alex even called and made reservations at a delicious and beautiful outdoor restaurant for us one night since we wanted a special dinner. We have already recommended Alex’s house to all of our friends, and hope to return for a visit soon!

Tastefull apartment with rare seaview
You may find other apartments in Monopoli with a roof terracce, but a terracce with seaview is rare. Here it is even in connection with the kitchen. Every morning I would walk down to the town beach, 8 minutes away, for my early morning swim. Here I met the same group of town women and we said 'buon giorno'. On the way back I bought our breakfast in the bakery on the nearby square and we would sit on this terracce for all our meals and watch life go by on the street bellow, or the boats take out to sea.
Other reviews describe the appartment perfectly and just as we experienced it. So I may add, that you reach the the roof terracce (and the second bathroom) by a steep staircase, so this is best for a nice evening drink or undisturbed sunbathing. there are sunbeds.
Everything was clean and new and in a good neutral taste. We were impressed by all the details that the owners had thought of. Nothing was missing. There was even a teapot. Something you don't se often in Southern Europe.
The children enjoyed the playstation and the good wifi-connection.
Also the aircondition was working fine. There was a restaurant below the bedrooms, but no problems with noise, just some smell from the food. So we kept the windows closed during the day and had the aircondition on, when necessary. There are two nice bedrooms. In addition there is a very small extra room, with a nice view from a small window, but no aircondition here. This room i best suited for a child or a teenager. But I stayed there and enjoyed my little cell.
The owners are a very friendly and hospitable couple, who explained everything and were very helpfull.

AMAZING!!
We stayed at this amazing house for two weeks this summer. It was truly perfect!! The home perfectly fit our family of 4. The fact that there are 2 bathrooms, with 2 showers, was a great help to us. I spent almost every day on the roof terrace enjoying the sun, while the rest of the family enjoyed the nearby beaches, which are only a few minutes drive away. A few things have changed from the photos, but all an improvement on an already perfect place. The old town and the main town square are only a few minutes walk away. Excellent food to be had everywhere!
The only downside was the parking. It is almost nonexistent!! Make sure you take time to find a legal parking spot, the ones directly on the street in front of the building are off limits, unless you have a special pass. We found this out the hard way and ended up with a hefty fine. We always found a spot, but it took some time and many trips around the block!
This was one of the most relaxing vacations we ever had and we will definitely be back. As a matter of fact, we have already put in our request for next year and we can't wait to go back!!!
