About this condo rental
Nestled in Poole, this attractive condo for £198 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Beautiful Beach Holiday Apartment, only a few minutes walk to the stunning Alum Chine Beach which again has been awarded the prestigious Blue Flag award for its world class pristine golden sands, excellent water quality and safe bathing. We would like to reassure all our guests that we are taking Covid 19 extremely seriously. We have implemented changes to our already high cleaning standards. All bed linen and towels will be washed at 60c . All beds and pillows have protectors which will also be replaced as part of our cleaning policy after each stay. We will then ventilate the rooms for a few hours before allowing new guests to enter. We would ask guests to remove shoes before entering the apartment to reduce any contamination. Hand gels and antibacterial soap will be provided. The Moorings has two double bedrooms, one with a King size bed and the other with two single beds and a sofa bed in the lounge. The apartment ideally would suit 5 people as the sofa bed is a bit uncomfortable for two adults. The Apartment offers all the modern conveniences and, as it has all been recently replaced, everything is in perfect order with a brand new kitchen and shower room. From the balcony as well as being able to see the sea, there are also amazing views over the tree tops of the famous chine. The apartment is one of six in the block so you will be aware of people above below and alongside you. It is ideally situated, making it the perfect base to explore the area by car or bike, such as the world famous Jurassic coast and the beaches and heathlands of Studland bay, only a short ferry ride away. For the more active holiday makers, water sports and golf facilities are within easy reach. For families with young children Alum Chine has a wonderful play area newly refurbished (2018) on the beach next to Vesuvio restaurant where parents can sit, relax and have a drink whilst keeping an eye on the kids in the park. The apartment lies within a twenty minute walk along the promenade to Bournemouth pier or 5 minutes if you catch the noddy train to all the attractions of Bournemouth town centre including fabulous shopping, restaurants and bars. A fifteen minute stroll up the tree lined chine takes you to Westbourne village again offering quaint shops, good restaurants and bars as well as a Marks and Spencer food hall, a Tesco express, a butchers and bakers etc. Heading West along the promenade will take you to the stunning Sandbanks beach with all its water sports and recently opened Rick Stein's latest restaurant amongst others. Cycling along the promenade is permitted all year round except in the summer months July 1st to 30th September it is restricted to before 9am and after 6pm the perfect way to explore Studland. We have excellent transport links: 20 minutes from Hurn airport, frequent train links to and from London Waterloo (1.3 miles to Branksome station, 1.9 miles to Bournemouth station), National express from Victoria to Bournemouth train station every day and of course good road links with the M3, M27 down to the south coast. This property is not suitable for Hen or Stag weekends or young adults hoping to take advantage of the night life Bournemouth has to offer as it is located in a quiet residential area with neighbours in close proximity.

Had a fantastic short break in this lovely apartment. It was spacious, very clean and modern, and had everything we needed. It was in such a great location, literally minutes from the beach, and had the woods behind it which you could look at from the balcony. It was a very peaceful street with loads of parking. We had our own parking space but I parked on the road as it was easier to get out with our space being close to a wall and other residents cars, and me not being the best parker in the world! We had a very restful night's sleep there with no noise at all and the beds were very comfy. Alum Chine beach was pristine and not all that busy at all when we went (Jubilee Bank Holiday week). There is a kids play area and large cafe right on the beach, and it's a short stroll alongside the beach to Bournemouth pier and the town centre, with plenty of ice cream stands, restaurants and arcades along the way. The woods behind the beach and the property were lovely to walk through, very quiet. There was a Tesco & M&S Food Hall a short walk away for all our food needs. We had a day trip to Kimmeridge Beach on the Jurassic Coast which was only around 45 minutes away and was great for the kids. We also visited the Oceanarium which was a great morning out. All in all I only used my car on the one day. There was a bus stop right next to the beach 2 mins away that took you to places like Poole if you didn't want to drive. The owner of the property was lovely and we had a delicious homemade lemon cake left for us on our arrival. She answered a message I sent within a few minutes and was happy to help. So happy we found this lovely place! I wish we had booked for longer and I will definitely look at going back next year.

Modern & Cosy, Delightful
My Dad & I went there for a weekend after a 2 month stay in the UK dealing with the estate of my deceased aunt...and we can surely say it was such a beautiful close to our journey. The flat was clean, cosy, warm, functional, excellent location within a few steps from the beach ...it truly ticked all the boxes for us and I would highly recommend everyone to stay there. The freshmade orange cake was delicious. I think we were the first visitors from Honduras!!

Another beautiful visit
Our second visit was equally as lovely as the first , with added perk of home baked cake on arrival , yummy.
Super clean , basic essentials in cupboard always handy , especially as someone Forgot the milk 🙄.
Will be getting home and booking again to enjoy the amazing beaches .

Lovely flat in great location
The flat was clean and beautifully furnished. The location is perfect with just a short walk to the beach. The flat is small particularly the kitchen but was fine for three of us. Helen is a great host, thank you.

Stunning, loved it
Just perfect , decor , cleanliness, arrival pack , views , distance from everything . We will be back , visited suggested Jazz Cafe ... perfect too. Even the weather got kind. Thank you so much , feel totally rested and pleased to have seen my son at uni , lets hope my whole family and dogs can come next time , once country is rid of this awful covid curse . Thank you

Fab as always
Think it’s 5 times now I have stayed here, in two different apartments. There is nothing I can say negative, as just all great. Very very clean and comfortable, near to beach . Great communication and as everyone may of said in previous reviews ? the best bit is the amazing lemon drizzle cake .

Very pleasant stay
This was the perfect place to spend our short break on the south coast. The flat was very clean and comfortable; check in was easy and Helen and Martin were very helpful in providing a space to store our bikes. The location is very convenient for the beach (less than a 5 minute walk).

Very grateful that owner made up the double bed with flat sheet and blankets. Bedrooms rather small.

Excellent family holiday accommodation great location.
Fantastic location close the beach short walking distance. Welcoming letter with home baked lemon drizzle cake waiting for us. Property was spotless quite location balcony overlooking garden and trees. 4 adults and 2 Children (10 & 8) large lounge and comfy beds. We would definitely go back again would highly recommend to family and friends. Off road parking. Just to wander out of the house and within minutes you are on a fantastic beach what more could we ask for.

Lovely short stay
We had a lovely stay in this apartment with 2 small children. Very clean and tidy with a delicious cake to greet us on arrival. It is very close to the beach and we enjoyed the playground and a trip on the land train.

Close to beach super location!! Everything was clean & tidy and well presented... shower could of been hotter!! Personal choice I guess? Maybe a control on it to stop people burning themselves? Overall great place to stay.

Very nice owners, very nice area
We enjoyed a very comfortable few days here. The walk to the beach from the chine was lovely. Many restaurants on the beach and promenade so spoilt for choice. Nearby Westbourne has many highly recommended restaurants and we can testify they are as good as they say! The new Odeon in Bournemouth is wonderful with reclining leather sofas (pay bit extra) but town itself is a bit run down. The owners live on site and were most helpful and responsive when a problem arose and allowed us to stay on a bit longer at the end of the stay so I cannot rate them highly enough! Many lovely walks nearby with the dog. What’s not to love?!

Fantastic couple of nights stay
We had a fantastic couple of nights away. The apartment was spotless, ideally located, really well equipped (including good wifi) and perfect for us and our 3 year old. Helen was very friendly and helpful and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Great arpartment great break
I stayed with my Mum, sister and nephew on a trip we had to rearrange after a difficult year last year we spent our days walking along the beach front which is only a 5 minute walk from the apartment where plenty of ice creams were eaten !! the apartment was just perfect spotlessly clean and spacious and a real home from home a place where we could relax and reflect on the past year and there was a nice surprise of a lovely cake awaiting for us on our arrival all in all the break and the apartment was just what we needed thank you Helen

Fantastic apartment. Spacious and spotless. In a great location 2 minutes walk from the front.
We arrived from a long journey to find a gorgeous lemon drizzle cake waiting for us. Also all the essentials were in the apartment waiting to be used. The apartment itself was spotless and very spacious (is bigger than it looks on the photographs). In a great location, 2 minutes walk downhill takes you right onto the front. We will certainly be booking again on our next trip down.
