About this cottage rental

Located in Hastings Highlands, this charming cottage for £148 per night is a great option for your next trip. Salmon Trout Lane is a 4 Season, 2 bedroom cottage which sits on a quiet bay at the south end of Salmon Trout lake. The cottage comes with a fully equipped kitchen with small and large appliances, bathroom with shower, satellite TV and a DVD player. For you and your guests enjoyment, it comes with a paddle boat, canoe, kayaks, paddle board and 12ft aluminum boat with oars (your motor can be used). Cottage offers a lovely private clean swimming area with deep off the dock water and gradual entry at the shore. There is also a bunkie available that could sleep additional guests. There is a large deck off the main cottage with a propane BBQ and outdoor furniture. There is also a large screened in porch area. 4 Lifejackets are available in limited sizes. There is also a fire pit down by the waters edge for further family enjoyment. Limited amount of firewood is provided. High Season SPECIAL 5 NIGHT RATE - SUNDAY TO FRIDAY FOR $1000 - please send owner a message for bookings. Weekly rate Friday - Friday - $1600 Nightly rate - $250 Salmon Trout lake is a beautiful spring fed lake (which has walleye & small mouth bass) its approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes from Toronto or Ottawa and is located 20 minutes north of Bancroft an amazing small town with all the amenities of large city. Absolutely amazing stay! Beautiful docks with lots of sun! Great fire pit! Best screened in sun room we’ve ever seen! Hosts were super helpful :) definitely want to go back!

We enjoyed an amazing four nights! We couldn’t have asked for more - the cottage was cozy and charming, the waterfront was beautiful and the location was perfect. The screened in porch was the ideal spot to hang out and relax, both when some rainy weather moved in and during evenings. Michelle is a very responsive and helpful host. Thanks so much for a memorable stay!

We enjoyed every moment of our stay. The outdoor spaces are amazing with the screened in area and the cottage is clean, cozy and welcoming. Great amenities and even with some rainy days we still had fun! The homeowners were friendly and easy to reach, quick to respond and also very welcoming. We enjoyed it so much we’re already booking our next stay!

A lovely cottage. The screened porch was a great space, since we were there during the early spring. We enjoyed the kayaking, some swimming (on the warmer days) and sitting on the docks. Heard and saw loons too. Very dog friendly!!

Great family get away, we all enjoyed the lake. The screened in porch was greatly appreciated because we did get some rain. The children loved the bunker. The kitchen was very well stocked, beds comfy. Highly recommend this cottage., just not the week l want to return, Lol

We had such a great stay! We swam, fished, paddle boarded and used the outdoor porch a lot!! (Didn't have to worry about bugs!) Communication with the owner was quick if we had any questions. The property was clean and well maintained! We had a lovely stay and would love to go again in the future!

You can tell alot of blood, sweat, tears and love went into this property. This location was just what my family and I needed. The nature surrounds you, its private and is suitable for stays year round ! Super impressed with not only the cleanliness but the accommodation, it has everything you need to have a fun and comfortable time. Michelle was super quick and polite to respond to any need :) I'd give this place a 9.5/10 *Only thing we werent too fond of was that we had to take all of our garbage with us when we left. Not to mention all the dumps we went to were closed so we had to bring it home with us on our 4 hour ride home. But ! Non the less I still highly recommend this to anyone.

it was a great 2 days the weather wasn’t the greatest we spent a lot of our time in the screened in gazebo which was furnished the fishing was great Michelle was very helpful we definitely would like to stay there again next year

Amazing getaway, beautiful quiet location. Cottage was cute, comfortable and clean. Lovely dockside access to the lake and only about a 20 minute drive to Bancroft. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, beautiful spot.

The property is great. Nicely sheltered from the elements and very private. The cottage was clean and comfortable. The bunkie would be a great place for additional guests. The gazebo was the best. Well screened in, large. True outdoor living space with no bugs allowed. Loved this place and would highly recommend it.

We absolutely loved our stay at Darrell and Michelle's cottage. It's very private, well equipped, and in a great location. We had a 2 year old with us and she had a blast! Would definitely recommend to others.

A wonderful week at Darren and Michelle’s cottage. Great location, so many things to do and they have provided it all to be used(kayaks, canoe, paddle boat etc.). The cottage was stocked with everything you need. The views are spectacular- be it the lake or the moon and millions of stars at night!! Had such a peaceful time in this stressful 2020 year. Thank you so much

The property is situated in a small private bay with only a few other cottages. Lots of privacy! The cottage itself was very clean and well equipped with anything you could possible need. Big bbq was great for cooking every night. Beds are all comfortable and hot water and pressure in shower is great. Also lots to do with all the canoes/kayaks.Will definitely be booking again next year.Thank you, Darrel & Michelle.

This cottage was amazing. It had everything that you could need. The interior is cozy and clean and from the kitchen to sitting area to dining to bedrooms was well laid out. It is a beautiful property with shallow entry off the grass and deeper water off the dock, canoes and kayaks to use, a fire pit with tons of seating, an outdoor screened in covered sitting area and an expansive deck right off the common area of the cottage with a BBQ. We were able to bring along our two dogs which was VERY MUCH APPRECIATED. The owners were quick to respond to texts and all instructions were clear. No complaints and we would highly recommend to couples, families or friends looking for a quiet getaway. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful space!

This place was so nice, the outside lounge area with wire mesh around it was a perfect place to play card games outside without worrying about bugs.
