This charming deluxe waterfront vacation cottage is all about location. Located in the village of A-Bay. Directly next to the RiverEdge Resort is a Walk to everything spot on the map. We have a wood burning fire pit , the cottage sleeps up to 10 adults (maximum) with 4 private bedrooms, 2 baths. The 13 room house original build in 1863 has be recently remodeled. Tastefully decorated with a wood paddle theme. This is truly in the heart of the 1000 islands. The Full kitchen boast ample room save money during your family vacation by eating in. The all season house has heating and air conditioning in each room. Dock rental is available for an $35 per day extra fee, Sorry NO Pets allowed on the property. Nice note*** the property owners and managers live next door if you ever need anything during your stay we can assist. Voted number 1 vacation rental in Alexandria Bay 6 years in a Row. (2022 note construction is taken place on the properties next door Monday 8am - Fridays 1pm) key spot for nearby fishing, scuba, boating, touring, sailing, SeaDoos, Beach, Kayaking, view of Boldt Castle from property and near by other Castles, Restaurants, Night Clubs, Bars, Shopping, Tour Boars, Boat Rentals, Drive In Movies, Fishing Guides, Vineyards, Distilleries, Golf, Go-Carts, Tennis, Pickle Ball, Shopping & Swimming. Maximum occupancy is 10 people, no sleeping on cots, air mattresses or couches.

Overall this is a great property! We were able to tie up our boat for the weekend and walk right up to the house. Everything was clean and well updated, views from the property were second to none and it's an easy walk to downtown. Highly recommend!

Stayed with group of friends and house was great in great location able to walk to town and view and outside fire pit was thoroughly enjoyed! Had everything you need and very clean. Would definitely go back and Louise was very nice and helpful.

This was our first time to the area and we were so happy to be staying in the heart of it. Paddles on the Porch is a perfect location to walk to town, but also have direct access to the water. We brought our boat and loved having the ability to dock it right just a few steps away. The house was great - Great kitchen, comfy beds, and awesome deck to hang out on. We enjoyed the fire pit in the yard and there is a tiki bar only a few steps away that we enjoyed afternoon cocktails everyday. I can't say enough about how wonderful the location is and how well the hosts run the process.

We had a great time the house was a bit larger than I expected and it has a great boat dock we put to use. We will definitely be checking in again if we head up your way.

If you are searching for a cozy, spacious, all around comfortable home to vacation at, look no further! Paddles on the Porch offers a deck with spectacular views, enclosed porch w/ fun bar and plenty of seating, close walks to golf course, church, mini mart, bars, lots of restaurants, tour boats, public beach, parking. So much fun!!

What a place! We could paddleboard straight from the dock, head on over to the Tiki Bar, or walk into town. There happened to be "Blues on the Bay," a free music festival going Labor Day weekend of our trip. There was plenty of space for two sets of grandparents, ourselves, and our young son to spread out. Definitely recommend! There was something broken with the grill and Court came right over to bring the parts and replace - very nice hosts :)

This is our 3rd year returning to the property. The house was clean as usual and it was easy to contact the owners if we needed anything or had questions. The house is in the perfect location. Right on the water and shops super close by. Pretty much everything you could need is in walking distance. Waltons market around the corner was super convenient for the kids snacking needs and had some delicious breakfast sandwiches. The kids loved being able to walk to all the gift shops and the fudge/candy shop. We can’t wait to return next year and make more amazing memories.

We had 10 family members in this home and it was plenty big enough for everyone. It was very clean and stocked better than we could have hoped. The owners where very attentive, but still very respectful of our privacy. Louise showed us everything when we got there, and Court was available to take care of a very - very - small issue we had - the hosts where great! The location was fantastic. We loved the charm of the house while still being completely updated. The beds where super comfy. Honestly we have nothing negative to say! It was a great vacation and we would not hesitate to book again! Thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay at paddles on the porch. The house had absolutely everything we needed a more. A great location within walking distance to shops and restaurants. You won’t be disappointed!

The property was beautiful over looking the river, the location was fantastic and within walking distance to bars and restaurants with so much to do in this area. The rooms and house was spacious and plenty of room for our girls weekend of 10!

Better than expected
Three couples stayed here for a week while pontooning on the St Lawrence River. The house was immaculate and well provisioned. The host was helpful and friendly. We used the dock, which was located right behind the house, so we didn't have far to go to get on the boat. If you want to take a tour boat they are very close and it is a short walk to the downtown area stores. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone going to the Alexander Bay area.

Great place for an extended family BBQ.
This was our 3rd stay at Paddles on the Porch. We love it. Its spacious clean and great for families. The backyard and supersize grill is perfect for a great BBQ. The location on the river is perfect for morning sunrise and evening sunsets. The deck with lots of seating is fabulous for daily chats with easy access to coffee in the morning and cocktails in the evening. Court and Louise are great hosts always ready to help but not intrusive. We will be back!

Was our second time staying at Paddles on the Porch and it did not disappoint. It was clean, spacious and within walking distance to everything. Court and Louise were great hosts.

Family vacation
Our family of ten had a wonderful time at this rental, the owners were extremely nice, the house was very clean and well stocked. It was close to restaurants and shopping as well as tourists attractions. We had fire in fire pit grilled outside, and roasted marshmallows. Awesome family time.

Good Time
Rented out this house and another with 19 people total This property's grill and picnic area were great for when the group go together.
The home had a number of nooks making it possible to get away from the group when needed.
I ended up using the dock's at the other house. The docks at this house are great to fish off for kids but are angled a little funny for boat use. Perhaps they would have shuffled the moorings had I used it.

Great Owners Providing Excellent Service
We throughly enjoyed our stay, largely due to the wonderful hosts, Court & Louise. The only real negative is that all 4 beds (listed as queens) were actually double/full with queen size sheets. The king size bed was a true king, but perhaps they were told that they were queen size and they never actually measured the beds.

Great accommodations and location.
Owners, Court and Louise, have set up a really nice place to stay. They were very responsive to our needs and requests. The home is nicely updated and very clean. Couldn’t have asked for a more convenient location for launching and docking our boat. Downtown Alex Bay was only a few minutes walk away for shopping and dining. We had such a good experience we have already booked our next stay.

We return every year to Paddles. Its super clean, kitchen is well stocked and the backyard view and amenities can't be beat. Great place to picnic and enjoy the firepit. Centrally located to town too!!

Very clean and great location
This property was absolutely perfect for a girls weekend away. Court was a very friendly and accommodating host who made sure we had everything we needed upon check-in. The house is beautiful and was very clean. The location was also very convenient! The house is right on the water and is walking distance from everything in A-Bay. We all loved our stay here and definitely plan on returning!

Nice time with family
The house was exactly as listed and described. Big kitchen fully stocked, nice back yard with a huge grill and fire pit (our toddlers enjoyed their first s’mores). House is within walking distance to everything in town. The beds may need to be upgraded at some point, but we brought our own pillows which helped.

Clean and close to town
The property is a short walk to town and adjacent to the Riveredge Resort. Rental was clean and owner made sure you had everything you needed, and supplied wood for the fireplace. If you have a boat, the dock is not much and requires a couple of people to maneuver. The backyard is a little funky, and views are a little skewed because of the orientation of the yard and the adjacent marina. But overall it's quaint and recommend for small groups who want to be close to town.

Wonderful place to stay. Quaint and cozy with plenty of room. Accommodations were spectacular and everything you need to get away to enjoy the close proximity of the Alexandria bay area. Access to the water right off the back yard and walking distance to the strip. very pleased and would stay again.
