Very good breakfast under sunshade in the square below. Fantastic!

Rope handrail not good for olduns. Steep stairs need solid rail.

Absolutly wonderful, comes highly recommended.

The position is perfect, very close to extremely nice restaurants and the most beautiful beach, or should I say several of them. The room was really nice, clean and everything worked. What we really liked was the central area in the apartments, with free coffee, tea, wine fruit and so on. The friendly staff, in particular the wonderful lady taking care of our room on a daily basis, even providing us with swimming towels which we forgot!! Andrew, the owner, took the time to check-in with us, which is not always the norm. In short, highly recommended establishment.

Very central. Right on the square in the village. can be noisy at night even into the small hours.

Perfect room but too much noise

The room was perfect. Very clean and we enjoyed a lot the air conditionner

Very enjoyable, would definitely return

Location - very central, bars/restaurants on the doorstep Cleanliness - Celia the housekeeper does a fantastic job Got a card that gives 10% off in certain restaurants

Location - take earplugs as one of the bars is very noisy and stays open longer than the others The shower, took ages for hot water to come through and the shower wasn’t very good.

Girls Holiday

It's an excellent location, in amongst lots of bars & restaurants, but only about 12 mins from Praia Grande beach which is beautiful with some lovely beach bars. The room was spotlessly clean & the maid even left us little boxes to keep our toiletries tidy. I took my own hair dryer but didn't need to use it as there is a very good one with a nozzle in the bathroom. There was a communal area in the entrance with complimentary tea, coffee, biscuits & fruit. The only thing we bought was fresh milk from a little convenience store opposite to keep in the communal fridge (they even provide sticky labels so you can put your name on it). I went for a few days with my friend & for two ladies on their own we felt very safe. We were even given a10% discount card to use on food & drinks in the local restaurants in the square. Andrew, the owner, was very friendly & helpful.

The only thing some people might not like is the fact that you are in amongst restaurants & bars, so it is obviously a bit noisy at night. It didn't bother us as we didn't go to bed early & when you've finished eating & drinking it's literally a few steps home

Excellent location for us only 5 minutes from our boat which we needed to work on .

Nothing to say that is negative. Lovely room- spotlessly clean. The place is located in the square at Ferraguda- therefore you should expect some noise from the restaurants. Would stay again.

If I come back to Algarve, I will definitely stay at Portarade. They made our stay amazing!

The owner was a very friendly guy who gave tips right during the check in. The whole property was so clean that it was a pleasure to come back every day!

Might get a bit noisy during the night due to its location on the square.

It was a nice old school authentic experience rather than a big commercial hotel.

Breakfast was good, you got 10% off.

The room could be a little bigger and have a small bar fridge.

Return to Ferragudo

Beautifully furnished room with all amenities. Lots of restaurants and shops close by.l Staff are very welcoming and efficient. They really looked after me during my solo stay.

Bear in mind, there is not a lift. All rooms are on the first floor. However staff kindly carried my luggage up and down for me. The accommodation is separate from the restaurant and you will be given keys to come and go as you wish.

Everything. location is fabulous. The rooms are above the bars and restaurant. but for us that wasn’t an issue. The room was lovely. Clean and well equipped complete with air conditioning. The restaurant below we ate in both nights. Beautiful food and good sized portions. The hosts-Helena and Andrew-were so nice and couldn’t do enough for us both. it’s so good we’ve already booked for next year.

Beautiful stay right in the heart of the village atmosphere

Location was really good right in the heart of the village atmosphere. Lovely walk to the beach. Lots of really good restaurants close by. If you like to go to bed quite early there can be some noise from the restaurants in the square outside.

Would have liked some outside space but we knew when we booked the room didn’t have a balcony. Our room was lovely though.

The rooms ar above a restaurant square, which is nice during the day, but in the evning and up untill 2-3 AM so noisy that we couldn't sleep. It was really too much. Other then that everything was great.

Exceptional

The room was perfect !! Clean, comfortable. Beautiful beach just 5 min away. Restaurants just next to the apartaments. Andrew was sooo helpful with our accomodation. We had some problems with extension of our stay and he took care of everything. Couldn’t think of a better host :)) We will be back ❤️

For light sleepers it can get a bit noisy at night , because of the restaurants, but there are ear plugs in the room.

Nice location for Algarve exploration

The property was clean, staff very nice, located in the center of the village.

Being a property located in the center, there is noise late in the night, but for the ones who enjoy night life this may be a plus.

Exceptional

Perfect location for me since I like to be in a busier, happening by location. These rooms have windows that open up to a square with multiple restaurants. It can be quite noisy in the evening, but I like that. It quiets down at about 10:30 PM. The rooms are small, but everything is updated and extremely clean and fun and nice! The hosts are very nice and accommodating. The beach is located a short walk away. It is in the fun older section of town that is cute and quaint. There is a wide range of food type and shops right in the area.

Superb

Very central location in the square. Ferragudo is a beautiful old fishing village. The beaches around this area are stunning. Excellent restaurants close by. The owner and his wife were extremely helpful when I needed to find a dentist. Infact they arranged an appointment and drove me to the door of dentist in a nearby town. I was really grateful for their help.

Definitely the place to stay in Ferragudo

I can't recommend this place enough! First, it is perfeclty located in the best spot of Ferragudo. Then, the staff & owner are really nice and caring, the suite is wonderful, everything is perfectly clean and greatly decorated, there is a lot of space to store and the bed is so comfortable ! Don't think twice, just go.

There is nothing I didn't like and I will definitely stay there again when I pass by Ferragudo

Nice Location in the Center of Ferragudo!

Very familiar and private one-room suites for 2. You can reach everything you require and you want to explore within minutes. Very smart and helpfull owner and staff. Ideal for a stay up to a week.

It‘s located in the lively food-square and you may have to expect noise until the restaurants are closed.

In the heart of the Algarve. Unmatched cleanliness. Too bad for the absence of the mini bar ...

The room was neat and clean, a structure of a certain charm; marine notes, white and blue tones. Parking is easy and the place is very central. The structure also has the restaurant below, very low prices and where we ate well. Safe and large shower. A special note goes to the cleaning staff, truly exceptional and worthy of a 5-star rating. Even placed clothes and shirts on the stand in the closet. Friendly, helpful and smiling staff. The square below is full of life (until late) and characteristic; full of restaurants open at all hours.

Negative note, above all, the lack of the bar fridge. However, there is a fridge in the living room of the structure that you can use; obviously it's not the same thing. One inconvenience is that to go up to the floor of the rooms you have to climb many stairs; clearly those who are elderly will find difficulties, those with luggage have a lot of luggage a bit of discomfort; but those with disabilities will not be able to stay. The room is not really large; if you have luggage, it takes a bit of effort, however putting everything back on the shelves and in the wardrobe solves the problem.
