Weekend Get-A-Way - Charming, quiet, romantic, loft apartment nestled in the foothills of the Adirondacks directly on the Great Sacandaga Lake. New, upper level, one bedroom, Adirondack style apartment. Great for couples or single looking for a special get-a-way. Endless Summer, Fall and Winter activities such as boating, hiking, fishing, and swimming in the summer, leaf peeping in the fall and x-country or downhill skiing, snowmobiling and ice fishing in the winter. Or just relax and do nothing. Maximum occupancy 2 People. An easy drive to Saratoga Springs, Albany and the many beautiful lakes of the Adirondacks.

This stay was amazing with the view and quietness. Doug and sherri were extremely nice and helpful. The dog was very nice. Fishing was not that good but was better than working. Would really recommend this place.

Wonderful week! Great location. Lots of outdoor activities at the property and surrounding area. Beautiful views! Everything you need is right there. Doug and Sherrie are great hosts! Enjoyed kayaking to the island and to the local restaurant.

My husband and I had a great time at Fondaview! The hosts Sherrie & Doug were so welcoming. They checked in with us & offered helpful suggestions, making sure our stay was going well. It was easy to find comfort indoors. The rental is very clean, well supplied, with beautiful lake decor. We especially enjoyed all the outdoor inviting places to relax & take in the view! The adorable screened in porch was perfect for am yoga & pm candle chats drinking wine with hubby to plan our next day. Had a great time exploring area antiquing, visiting Adirondack Animal Land (so close) & had nice meals out. Saving the best for last is Sacandaga Lake, a priceless amenity this rental affords. We enjoyed fishing kayaks, lakefront deck/dock, watching lake boating activity, sunning, floating. Missing it already & hoping to return soon!!!

What a beautiful setting. Everything was perfect. Hosts were so lovely. They went above and beyond with all the things you will need for a fantastic visit. So well appointed, all the little details that make traveling a success. Doug and Sherrie met all our expectations. Could not have asked for a more peaceful and tranquil stay. We had a wonderful time here. Lots of nice sitting areas throughout the property. Sherrie and Doug are excellent hosts. Very helpful and responsive. There were kayaks that we paddled on. We hope to come back soon.

Wonderful weekend getaway
This was a perfect weekend away! The place was clean and was well equipped with everything we needed. The views of the lake were incredible. Doug and Sherrie were wonderful hosts and provided fantastic recommendations for food and things to do in the area. We hope to come back soon!

Beautiful property
We absolutely loved our stay here. Sherrie and Doug thought of everything to ensure a comfortable stay. There are lots of areas to sit and relax, from the screened in porch, the patio chairs, the lawn, ...the view of the lake from inside is stunning. We enjoyed having access to kayak on the lake right from their beautiful property.

My wife and I had a wonderful time relaxing at Doug and Sherrie's place. We felt at home on the lake. Everything was beautiful, clean and our hosts were very helpful recommending places to go and things to see. We hope to visit again!

Glorious Gateway to southern Adirondack Park
The hosts could not be more gracious and accommodating. The setting is remarkable, and the ability to use their kayaks and canoe was a real plus. Plus the location is perfect for getting anywhere in the area. We highly recommend this VRBO listing.

We returned to Fondaview to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and it was absolutely perfect! Doug & Sherrie are the perfect hosts and everything about the property is immaculate. We enjoyed kayaking on the beautiful Sacandaga and just relaxing by the water reading and taking in the breath-taking views. Sampled local wineries & eateries and absolutely enjoyed every single moment. We'll be back for sure!!

A beautiful location on a beautiful lake
We enjoyed our stay very much. The apartment above the garage is beautifully furnished in Adirondack decor. The bed is extremely comfortable. We are familiar with the Sacandaga, but this view from the outside and from the unit is outstanding. Enjoyed sitting outside and gazing at the water. We entertained a friend on the screened porch. The kitchen is adequate for simple cooking. Paper plates were supplied as well as dishes, pots and pans etc. and a Keurig. Doug and Sherri are especially gracious hosts and were very welcoming. We will return.

We drove around the entire lake, and we both think that this house has the best position on the lake. The view is gorgeous, the apartment is private and well appointed, the bed is comfortable, and you have everything you need to cook your dinner. We used the kayaks and canoe to get to and around the island, had a great swim there. Highly recommended.

A fantastic place. The property is beautiful, right on the lake with amazing views of the surrounding mountains. We made good use of the provided kayaks, fire pit, and grill. Sherrie and Doug are very kind, thoughtful hosts and we look forward to staying with them again!

Amazing view and restful environment
My husband and I could not have enjoyed our getaway more! Doug and Sherry are perfect hosts and have thoughtfully and tastefully created the idyllic hideaway. Clearly they take pride in their property. Everything was immaculate. We enjoyed kayaking on the lake, taking a hike in the area, and sitting by the lake each evening. We lucked out with beautiful weather but felt that even if we had been stuck inside the apartment was so comfortable it would have still been an enjoyable and restful experience. If you need to get away from it all this is the place!

The accommodations and the property owners were excellent. The owners think of everything that you may need and are two of the most kindest people on earth! We will be coming back to this enchanted lake house.

Peaceful Perfection!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our anniversary getaway at Fondaview. The property is absolutely gorgeous and Doug and Sherrie were attentive, friendly, helpful, yet unimposing hosts who made sure that all of our needs were perfectly met. This was a little taste of paradise that we hope to return to on a yearly basis!

Adirondack Elegance
A turnkey offering at the foothills of Adirondack park. Very easy to get to. There are plenty of dining options within minutes of the locale, however due to a well stocked, fully capable kitchen and gas grill you may opt not to leave once you arrive. Right on the lake, kayaks available if you're into paddling around. The loft apartment (which is in a separate building from the main house) has been constructed with some of the highest quality craftsmanship you'll see in a lake house. The hosts could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. This is a great place to getaway and just be. Highly recommend, top notch, 5 stars!

Stunning waterfront property
We had high expectations for our stay, and it exceeded every one of them.
The apartment was beautiful, in wonderful condition, and had a stunning view of the water. It was fully outfitted with everything we needed. Doug and Sherrie were super helpful and were there whenever we needed anything.
Looking forward to hopefully getting a chance to visit again soon!

The pictures really do not do the justice for this property! Absolutely beautiful inside and out, and the views were incredible! Sherrie and Doug were extremely friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Having a full kitchen, fully stocked with everything you would need to make your own meals was awesome, so we didn’t have to leave the lakeside views and could enjoy our meals overlooking the water from the large picture window overlooking the water. 10/10 would recommend and likely return myself!

Spectacular!
Great Sacandaga Lake may offer many places to stay but we found a gem with Doug and Sherrie's FondaView! The cabin is a beautifully furnished apartment sized space with an Adirondack feel. It rained a couple days and we enjoyed being inside as much as outdoors - where we took full advantage of the waterfront deck, canoe and kayaks, grill and tented patio. Hosts are so friendly and attentive. Next time we'll bring fishing gear!

Lovely hosts, beautiful property meticulously maintained yet with a comfortable feel, easy lake access, boats available as described and in great condition. The unit has been constructed with obvious care and craft and attention to detail, it has all modern conveniences blended with just the right touch of Adirondack lake decor.
