Great location, well equipped, and extremely comfortable, the Lincoln Lake House was practically perfect in every day. There's loads to do, but we spent endless hours on the deck, relaxing and enjoying the peaceful setting. We (and our dogs) would love to return!

This lakehouse is sealed tight and clean.
As someone who has rented multiple places on Upper Cold Stream, I can tell you that some of them are not well maintained and loaded with mice. It was so nice to stay at a place that was mice-free!
The views are wonderful and the outdoor space very comfortable. I hope I get to rent again!

We had such a great time at the lake house but definitely overpacked. The lake house has everything you need and more: Lots of beach towels, life jackets, games, etc…. There was even a tether to the tree so the dog could hang out outside without us worrying about her running away. She had the best week of her life swimming all day. My kids were so sad to leave. They did a lot of fishing, swimming, and kayaking. I only wish we stayed longer. Can’t wait to go back next summer.

This property is such a cute and clean place. I loved that everything was stocked such as plates, bowls, glasses, utensils, spices, coffee, tea, towels, cleaning supplies, games, books, and outdoor activities like the canoes, kayaks, cornhole set and outdoor fire sitting area.
Unfortunately the weather was just horrible so we enjoyed the peace and quiet and watching the different people take their boats out. The days that werent raining we left the sliding door open to listen to all the sounds of nature. The deck is amazing and furnished completely for rest and relaxation.
The kitchen is very roomy as well as the living and dining room. The layout of this small cabin on the lake was just perfect in my opinion. As a city person, the only thing I would adjust would to add full curtains or blinds to all the windows for night privacy. My family enjoyed visiting us and really was impressed with the cabin as well.
I would highly recommend anyone to try this place out as it was really a wonderful place to stay, especially if you need to just disconnect and reboot your soul!
Karen is very quick to reply to messages and was a very gracious host.

It was exactly as the pictures showed it. No actually it was even better! We very much enjoyed the family atmosphere provided, the cleanliness, the fact that it had everything we could have possibly needed and then some, and that it was pet friendly! My daughter with a little help from her dad caught the biggest fish of her life! A 27 inch salmon! We give the Lincoln Lake House 5 stars and will definitely be coming back again! Thanks for the great hospitality!

This little.cabin was perfect for 3 adults and our small dog. It is convenient to town for groceries and gas and to all the day trips we had planned. We had everything we needed from kitchen to bath and the views were unreal. We caught the leaves at peak color and wow the reflection on the water was nothing short of amazing! The deck was a great place to sit and reflect. It was so worth the 20 hour drive! We will be back one day, I hope. Well worth your money to stay at the Lincoln House!

Camp was nice and the new deck was spacious and well equipped with furniture. Enjoyed the fire pit, but ran out of wood and we were told we could purchase some. The description said wood supplied. Also pictures on VRBO need to be updated. They show a fireplace that is no longer there. Instead there is a gas d fireplace that we were told was mostly ornamental and close to sofa. All in all we enjoyed our stay.

1st week of November
Karen was very quick and accommodating for us when we reached out with questions. Being fall when we stayed , there was not much for local outdoor activities. However, for us, the fire roads and atv trails were lengthy and a very short walk from the house. Perfect activity for our dogs to be able to run and exhaust themselves. Also perfect for our son on his bike. The house had everything we needed to live for the week. For the fishermen, the activity was all but non existant. Not sure if it was the time of year or what but hours of fishing produced nothing. Research claims of trophy trout, salmon, and small mouth bass. House is very well decorated and clean. The only negative thing that could be stated is very minor, for most, I’m sure. However, the rowboat had no oars and could not be used. Karen mentioned they use the canoe paddles. I wasn’t able to figure out how that works as to the nature of a rowboat being propelled by 1 individual in the middle seat. But, there was also only 1 canoe paddle available. We used the kayak paddle for second paddle for the canoe. The information binder needs to be updated as to the local options available. Again didn’t contribute to any detraction of enjoyment, but they are offered in the property amenities. Overall very nice place. Neighboring houses or lots are close, but no one was at them during our week of stay.

Family Camping Trip
This was a great location and had something for everyone! We enjoyed time on the boat, swimming in the water, campfires, & rides on ATVs! The camp was very comfortable and access to the water was great!

The neighbors were friendly, waving from afar. We enjoyed the fire pit and laying on the dock at night looking at the stars. We made a ton of family memories here.
The only negative (my fault for not even considering it) was there was no air conditioning and it was in the 90s while we were there. My husband was dying. It was especially hot while cooking dinner. The bedrooms had ceiling fans so that helped. There was just one extra window fan and we’d move that to the kids’ room to help get air to the top bunk. Suggest adding some extra fans for the occasional “wicked scorcher” days.
Overall an awesome 3 nights! I highly recommend this cabin to escape from the world! The hosts were very responsive!
