Nestled in Sonoma County, this attractive cottage for £232 per night is a great choice for your next trip. We call our home Standing Wave. For us and our guests, staying here is a relaxing and tranquil experience. Things are calm and peaceful and yet filled with the excitement of the dramatic ocean views. You won't believe the view, the peace & the serenity here! Come for a peaceful getaway. Enjoy all that this amazing coast has to offer. You can spend the entire day relaxing & whale watching in your private accommodations, or venture out to take full advantage of all that Sea Ranch has to offer...year-round, outdoor heated pools, hiking trails, tennis courts, and more views! You'll want to come back again & again! Your accommodations will be in our guesthouse, on a gated, private Sea Ranch estate. We purchased this unique property 2 years ago because of the amazing location & privacy, and we love to share it with others. It is one of the largest oceanfront parcels at The Sea Ranch, with commanding views of the Pacific in all directions. The cottage is separated from the main house by a large meadow & rolling hills (see pictures). We are regularly treated to parades of whales & seals, deer migration, foxes, birds, and other abundant wildlife! Your romantic cottage is studio-style, which is appointed with a wood burning fireplace, wet bar with microwave & mini-fridge, and tall ceilings with open concept living & comfortable sleeping area. There is a large bathroom with double sinks, as well as a full wet room with double shower & large bathtub. The entire cottage is bathed in natural light with large floor-to-ceiling windows facing the ocean. And if you decide to venture outside, there is a private deck for dining, lounging, or whale watching.

I cannot say enough about our experience at this property. I arranged a surprise stay for my husband's birthday, and we were both absolutely amazed by the breathtaking view, the cozy ambiance, and the seamless communication with Brittany. The well-equipped kitchen made cooking a breeze, offering all the essential utensils and even multiple coffee-making options, including a Keurig, which I enjoyed. The spacious bathroom provided so much room for both of us to get ready comfortably. This picturesque property is the epitome of a romantic getaway - complete with a warm fire, fine wine, and a mesmerizing ocean view. We cannot wait to go back!

Amazing. Beautiful property with views that are unforgettable. Everything you need is there. Easy access getting into the property and everything you need is there. Bed super comfy. Shower is awesome. Outdoor deck is just incredible and you can easily walk to sea ranch lodge also. Amenities for pool and tennis courts also top notch. I can’t wait to stay here again.

We had a great stay here, the place is beautiful, everything we needed for a nice getaway and the host was warm and communicative. The view is incredible right when you open the door. There are hikes around but we were mostly content to just hang out with our newborn, listen to the waves and watch the sun go down. It's a well equipped studio, so perfect for a couple.

Standing Wave is a dream. You are in totally luxury while along on a cliff above your very own cove on the Pacific. The place is well appointed and so clean. We can't get back fast enough.

The Sea Ranch is a unique and beautiful area, and the Standing Wave guest house is an awesome place to stay and experience it. The guest house window views of the ocean are outstanding, and the property, which is set away from the main house, is a convenient short distance from The Sea Ranch Lodge which is where we ate most of our meals. Our experience sitting in the Adirondack chairs outside the guest house at the edge of the cliff and taking in the sights and sounds of the ocean below were priceless. Thank you to the owners Brittany and Ivy for sharing their wonderful property with us.

This guest house has the most amazing views over the water for sunrises, whale watching, star gazing, and sunsets. The porch and chairs on the cliff provided such an amazing outdoor atmosphere in addition to the great indoor features and amenities. The location and included passes made exploring Sea Ranch so easy, we had a great time and would happily return!

We've been so excited to visit Sea Ranch for years and our stay at Standing Wave exceeded our dreams. It was the perfect place to relax and connect with nature. We saw several whales right from the front windows and had a great dinner at the lodge. Our only regret is that we weren't able to stay longer. Brittany & Ivy were so helpful in communicating before and during our stay. We can't wait to come back!

Everything was very clearly spelled out & explained which was helpful. We loved the bottle of wine they left & the restaurant recommendations. But mostly we just took a big deep breath after a busy summer and just soaked up the serenity & beauty of this place. We sat at the adirondacks and watched the water come in & out of the private cove. Mesmerizing. We took a coastal walk, played pickle ball, swam in the nearby pool, and went in the sauna. The whole experience was a special way to celebrate 25 years of marriage!

Stunning studio guest house in fabulous Sea Ranch location. Peaceful, clean, well- appointed & private. Thank you for sharing this unique hideaway with others & we can’t wait to come back. The Adirondack chairs were perfectly set up to enjoy the most amazing sunset on our first night. Other nice touches included a bottle of wine , Duraflame logs , great local information & maps & a very comfortable bed.

Our second stay at this property was much like the first: staring out the windows at the drop-dead gorgeous view, hikes along the beach, birdwatching, reading and knitting. The Sea Ranch Lodge, which reopened since our last visit, was a nice enhancement to the overall experience, as we had an excellent meal there our last evening. We will certainly return.

Having stayed at numerous VRBO’s over the past 10 years and this ranks as one of the best! Well put together and amazing location. Perfect for a couples retreat. From the BBQ to the kitchen to the bathroom, to the WiFi and everything else, it was clean and put together. We did not watch any TV so we can’t speak to logging in and using it, but frankly, the views out the window beat any cable program. We will definitely return. Entry and exit were seamless and the owner was easy to communicate with. Thank you!
