Tile floors left everyone’s feet dirty, real dirty. Needs a better “clean water” mopping after sweeping. Looked clean, but wasn’t. Small complaint but very obvious.

This property was clean, accommodating and had nice views! It was perfect for our party and the affordability was excellent. Steve was easy to reach and helpful! No issues and would definitely recommend this place!

Nice complex of condominiums. The pool area was great and well maintained. The condominium association should look into doing something to keep the feral chickens away from the property; they are a nuisance.

We were very pleased overall with our stay. I was seeking a sorounding for my wife to be able to exhale. The view from the master bedroom every morning was a wake-up in a true paradaisical dream. I would have liked for a few of the tree branches to be cut away allowing for a wider panoramic, but my wife was not bothered by it at all. This unit has caused me to gain maximum spousal brownie points and my "honey-do list" is back to zero, until?😇

Our family enjoyed our stay at this condo while our condo on island was being renovated. Right in Christiansted so close to everything. Nearby evening construction caused noise but that can’t be helped. The kitchen had everything we needed and the owner was accessible. Fresh paint and updated furniture was a surprising perk, hard to find on island. Great place!!

Communications are key and Steve goes above and beyond when booking and staying at the condo. Location is off the main road and the overlooks from the pools are fantastic. Easy access to Christensted and the wonderful boardwalk area. Nice accommodations with a full patio and would definitely book a future stay here.

This was my first time staying at a "vacation rental by owner" and since I was relocating to St. Croix, my foundation was very important. This started with securing a space for a few weeks, I wanted a safe, homey space where I could walk, be close to town "Christiansted" and start my search for a long term rental. Before I booked the condo... the owner "Steve" and I started communicating while I was in NYC almost (2) weeks out to my travel dates to St Croix and since this was my first time ever!!! I had lots of questions. Steve had a very quick responds time, he was very accommodating, answering all my questions. After booking the condo and during my stay, Steve continued to keep the lines of communication open. There were a few "hiccups" very minor, however, Steve was on it. Even though Steve wasn't on the Island. He acted as an "Ambassador" letting me know about - best practices of Island life and giving great recommendations, restaurants, beaches, rental car info, and grocery stores. All in All this was a great first time experience staying at a "vacation rental by owner". The property was as advertised, I felt very comfortable.... I wanted to stay longer. Steve and I had a few great conversations and we realized, we have a few things in common. Steve is a great host. Thanks for making it a memorable experience.

This was an excellent stay for our first time on St. Croix. Location good to explore Christiansted as well as western and eastern sides of the island. Unit was as described, large porch and furniture on it is very nice for night-time activities and conversations. Spent most of the time at the beach, but did have one pool day which was nice and quiet, almost had the pool to ourselves except for a couple people who came and went while we were there. Steve was very helpful and communicative before and during stay. Watch out for the potholes at the bottom of the road (and everywhere else) and there's no reason you won't enjoy staying here!

We just left and are overjoyed with our stay. We found the condo as listed plus more. We had no vehicle during our stay but found the walk into Christiansted an easy fifteen minutes. Steve was very quick to respond to a couple of questions we had. Would definitely stay here again. Everything was as shown in the ads.great place. John the manager was very helpful also. Thanks again Steve.

Schooner Bay is in a good location to visit all of St. Croix. It is value priced. The owner was prompt and cooperative in all of our communications. We had a misunderstanding about supplies that we were supposed to bring and didn't (soap & shampoo) and a cleaning issue, and a resolution was achieved.

This is a nice unit which can easily sleep 3-4 people. Kitchen is fully stocked and everything works. We were able to walk to a couple nice restaurants like No Bones and Maria's, as well as our morning coffee at the Bistro. Not sure about walking all the way to downtown Christiansted as the route didn't seem very pedestrian friendly, but we never really tried either...we were content to just drive there and park at the west end of the Boardwalk. The pool was very nice too with good views of Gallow Bay.

The property was great,very comfortable furniture. Everything you could possibly need. The master bedroom had a fantastic walk in shower. Ceiling fans appear pretty,cooled very well,AC was great. Near a grocery store that has everything,hardware store that sells alcohol and a couple of restaurants. I highly recommend

As we sit here on our last of 16 days in Christiansted at the condo we sigh how beautiful it has been. The condo was perfectly equipped, the patio is expansive and has views of the fort, harbor and island on Protestant Cay. The pool is about 100 steps from the condo and is quite impressive on its own, perfect elevated views of the sea and harbor, highly recommended. There are two grocery/market stores a few hundred yards behind the condo complex, it is convenient to the East end which we thoroughly enjoyed. Parking was easy. This was a surprisingly well situated and priced condo, we will be back. The owner Steve was prompt with responses to our inquiry and he was quick to notify us when there where maintenance issues being worked in the complex. This is a must do for any St Croix stay.

The condo was very comfortable and well stocked with utensils, dishes,cookware , towles linens etc. While it is possible to walk to christiansted, just note that it is about a 2 mile walk just to get to the boardwalk. That being said, we loved the fact that we could cook out own breakfast, and dinner and not be held at the mercy of restaurant hours. often time we would be hungry before the restaurants would be open for dinner. ( we like to eat early, usually by 5:00pm) Steve usually responded within minutes when ever I had questions. There is a restaurant at the bottom of the hill from the condo called No Bones Cafe and the food there was pretty good- we ate there 2 nights of our 5 day stay. We also ate at Duggans on the east end. the food there was fabulous. I wasn't impressed with Shupe's at all. If I ever returned to St Croix I would definitely Give this condo another look- although i might look for one that was on the beach so my partner could swim every am without having to get in the car. That being said, if you are not worried about swimming first thing in the AM in the ocean this is a great place to go. We rented a car from Judi of Croix, and had no difficulties. BEWARE the roads on St. Croix are filled with potholes, some of which are giant. We found it interesting that we were instructed by car rental company not to leave anything in the car when we parked it as there was a good chance that the car would be broken into. This made doing multiple duty trips to places like Frederiksted a little tough (Tour botanical gardens but have snorkeling gear with us, want to go somewhere to eat but ddin't really want to lug snorkeling gear, etc)

This is a lovely condo situated in Gallows Bay within walking distance to the town of Christiansted. We found it to be a wonderful home base for exploring St Croix. A ten minute walk from condo gets you to the boardwalk where you can find a variety of restaurants, shops, snorkeling/scuba and sunset cruises to enjoy. Also, at the entrance to the condo are two restaurants both serving great food and service. The pool was a great meeting place where we met residents and fellow travelers which were all pleasant and very accommodating on things to do and see. Steve was very tentative to our needs during our one month stay. A simple text to him got an immediate response to take care of any questions that we had. He was willing to share information about places he had been to which he thought we might enjoy. Looking forward to staying here again. Tony & Anne

We spent almost 3 weeks here in July 2016. It is conveniently located east of Christiansted, which is about an 8-10 minute walk. While the facility, generally, is dated (constructed in the 1980's), it is well-maintained. The unit was comfortable and more than adequate for three of us. Ceiling fans and AC kept the unit cool. It is about a one minute walk to the pool (there are two, never visited the other) from which there is a phenomenal view of Gallows Bay, the fort in Christiansted, etc. Overflights by frigate birds and pelicans were common. The pool was frequently shared with a baby iguana which could get in but not out. Gently lifting it out, it's back could be stroked sending it into paroxysms of pleasure as evidenced by the head bobbing and throat inflating. Steve was very easy to work with and spent considerable time answering my wife's questions, both via e-mail and telephone. Thanks Steve! If you like to snorkel don't dismiss Protestant Cay (right in the harbor) as too developed. Spent a few hours here one day and saw quite a few green sea turtles, barracuda and, most exciting, a 6 foot spotted eagle ray. There is a good sized market about 12-15 minutes drive (toward the airport) which more than met our needs. For stargazers, you are far enough south to view the Southern Cross, Alpha Centauri, and depending upon time of year, the southern pole star. All beaches are public and each offers something different. A word of caution. The beach at Divi Carina (west of the pier) on the south of the island (about 15 minute drive) is a veritable minefield of sea urchins.
