We loved our stay! Mark gave us a neighborhood tour and shared family stories. He gave us great advice on places to visit and local tips. We would come again!

The most relaxing 11 days we've ever had. Coffee and meals on the deck. The best location in Hawaii. Girls loved the swimming hole and we saw 3 turtles! My only suggestion would be bunk beds in the small bedroom off the living room. Very tight for two 12 year olds and all their "stuff". Thank you Mark. We hope to be back soon.

My family loved this house for our stay in Hawaii. The location is on the beach and is very quiet and relaxing. Mark was an amazing host and made sure we had anything we needed. We couldn't ask for anything more then this slice of paradise.

We had a wonderful time at Mark’s rental. He and Snoopy were there to greet us and help us getting settled at the house. It was spacious, well stocked with kitchen, bath etc supplies and especially beach gear! Mark was so friendly and offered great recommendations about the area. And our daily visits with Snoopy were a highlight for my kids. You can tell Mark and his family put a lot of love into this beach home and we definitely hope to return!

Nice home with a wonderful beach and ocean out the back door. Resort restaurants, hiking, golf, Polynesian Center and ziplining near by in case you tire of snorkeling and relaxing on the beach. A terrific place to bring the family with the perfect ocean pool to introduce young ones to the water.

We stayed with our kids who just graduated from high school. I chose this property because it is right on the beach and private. Low tide is amazing for snorkeling or just walking out to see the reef. Mark has everything you would need for a beach vacation and is the best host. We would absolutely stay here again.

The Beach house is beautiful! Was equipped with everything we needed. Just steps from the beautiful beach with amazing sunsets every evening. Thank you Mark! You truly are a super host!

We absolutely loved the property. The location was perfect and the views were amazing. The large deck, big backyard, and steps to the beach were a great combination. Mark was a wealth of knowledge about all things local and was always available if we needed anything. The house is set back from the highway so there’s no road noise, only the waves. The kitchen was well stocked and the rooms were just what we needed. The outdoor shower was a definite bonus. We were very pleased with everything and would definitely stay there again.

Our stay at Kawela Kai beach house was wonderful! Mark, Nancy (and Snoopy) were great hosts, very kind and friendly. The house was clean and comfortable, and had everything we needed. The property was amazing, located right on a beautiful North Shore beach. We could see whales just offshore while relaxing on the lanai. It was so hard to leave and we hope to visit again someday!

We loved staying here. The view out of the back porch is amazing. Right on the beach with a great place to relax in the water. Very private area. The only problem we had was there isn't any air conditioning. Luckily, we were there when it wasn't really hot outside.

Such a lovely property and kind host! We so enjoyed our family time at the Kawela Kai! We had everything we needed, and then some! Mark, please say, “hi” to Snoopy for us!

This was the perfect way to end our Hawaii trip. Siting on the porch watching the ocean was very relaxing. Mark was available and helpful. We loved it and loved the North Shore of Oahu.

Located on the beach. Owner lives next door and was friendly. The place could use some updating inside but everything was functional. It is 5 minutes to Turtle Bay resort. Did I mention it is on the beach?

Mark is absolutely the best host! (And Snoopy). The house was simply perfect for my family. It was nice to return to a quiet place after running around the island. To hear the waves all night was so peaceful. Mark fave us so ma t recommendations and made us feel right at home. I’ve shared the listing with all my friends to come visit Hawaii! We will return! Mark, Nancy and Snoopy, we already miss you and the house. By far the best spot on the North Shore to stay! We consider ourselves so lucky to have had the pleasure of staying there. They truly treated us like family and were so welcoming. Mark has a wealth of knowledge of all the islands that he loves to share, especially the local spots! The kids had a blast playing with the neighbor kid and we enjoyed a great hike with them too. We are already talking about when we will be coming back. You have everything you need in this house, clean, beautiful beach, perfect location and even better owners!

We love the north shore and this location has some of the best beach and access we have seen in this area. Also the lanai facing the beach is a great place to hang out. Mark is a wonderful host and very knowledgeable and helpful. Our only criticism is It would be nice if the third bedroom did have a divider from the living room.

We LOVED staying at Mark's place. Mark was a warm, involved and generous host. The views of the ocean from the porch, LR and interior long hallway were AMAZING. Having an oceanfront place to stay while in Hawaii was priceless. The three large beds, two bath space was perfect for our family (with 2 adult children). We loved that we could jump in the ocean and see sea turtles directly in front of the house, listen to the tropical birds, and even watch a baby bird be hatched near the porch. The property felt safe and secure at the end of a long driveway from the road. The fans and windows provided such a nice breeze, we never thought about air conditioning. Close to North Shore beaches and services. Hope to return one day! All the best to you, Mark and family (and Snoop)!

If you’re looking for a North Shore stay away from the crazy that can be Oahu, don’t look any further. The house is the perfect size for a group of 6 and has everything you need for a relaxing stay, including a 20 step walk to a low trafficked beach. The owner is fantastic with both adults and kids and there’s plenty for everyone to do. We hope to return very soon!

Everything we needed and hoped to find—beautiful view, beach at our doorstep, comfortable indoor and outdoor living. Although we did little cooking the kitchen is fully equipped should you want to. Would love to stay again.

Mark was an excellent host! Always available to provide recommendations on where to go and the best places for food. The house was lovely and right in front of the beach. We spent many afternoons swimming and the nights stargazing. Best of all, the home came with its very own VRBO dog, Snoopy. We will definitely be looking to stay at Mark’s home on our next trip to the north shore.

This was the third time we have stayed at this Heavenly Oasis and will NOT be the last. My 82 year old Dad arrived at the house first and Mark & Nancy took such good care of him. They are the BEST! We thoroughly enjoyed each minute !! Until next time! :)

Mark and Nancy and of course Snoopy were excellent hosts being friendly knowledgeable and great fun. Mark your beach house is a perfect paradise with a very well stocked kitchen and bathroom and an open deck for dining with the sun setting in the background. we thoroughly enjoyed our stay with you and if it wasn’t for the 25hr trip back we’d be back… however never say never . This property is directly on the beach - it is a quiet beach so you almost have it to yourselves. There is a large deck area where you can have your meals or just relax - we used this a lot. There are plenty of facilities at the property such as beach seats, snorkels, etc. and the kitchen is well stocked for self-catering. There are three bedrooms, although during our stay the third bedroom did not have an end wall so was open to the lounge area - OK for kids, but not adults when privacy is required. The owner says he is waiting for materials to fix this. Would recommend checking this out before booking if you need privacy in the third bedroom. We would certainly recommend this property for its location and amenities.

Mark and Snoopy are such wonderful and gracious hosts! From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, their continued kindness will never be forgotten. The house is tucked away and right on the beach. We had such a wonderful time in the home and Mark recommended so many amazing “must-do’s” which helped us tremendously. We had such an unforgettable week in paradise! Thank you Mark (and Snoopy).

Mark was a fantastic host. Check in was a breeze and the house was perfect. No A/C but ocean breezes and ceiling fans were all we needed. Very well equipped - everything you would need is on hand. Close to great food trucks and amazing beaches. Mark made some great recommendations on restaurants and sites to see. We would most definitely stay here again! Mahalo Mark & Snoopy!!

We had such a wonderful time on the North Shore and this was the perfect vacation home for us. Mark is a wonderful host and made us feel right at home. The beach out front was perfect for our 6 year old and we were close to all the things we wanted to see and do on the north shore. Sunset dinners on the deck were amazing, as was falling asleep listening to the waves. It's a quiet, peaceful location and well stocked with all you would need for a great vacation.
