About this house rental
Built in 2019, FirstTraxLodge is like no other property on Norris Lake because of its OUTDOOR kitchen / OUTDOOR dining / OUTDOOR lounge areas. A true paradise, to create family memories, that will set the bar and last a life time! Lake life is ALL about being OUTSIDE regardless of the weather. If a "Rain delay" occurs, you won't have to be trapped indoors, as FirstTraxLodge offers two incredibly large comfortable decks. Both decks are well protected from the elements, allowing you to enjoy the fresh outdoors, rain or shine - night or day. Additionally, a hanging twin bed is located on the lake-level deck, which is perfect for that afternoon nap or a full-nights sleep, while listening to the lake - the best alarm clock is the belly flop, of a Striper Bass, which routinely patrol the boat dock. The main level deck features an "Outdoor living area" w full kitchen (EVO cooking stone - built-in BLAZE "Commercial" natural gas grill, sink, two refrigerators), Dining area with a Sassafras table that seats 12 and a island that seats four. The "Lounge" has a comfortable sectional couch with a 65" smart TV located above the fireplace. "First TRAX Lodge" is 3,400 sq ft w a "Lodge" feel from its handcrafted Amish pine bed frames, pine ceiling w Red Oak Hardwood flooring. HOME comforts include: A bidet in the Master Bath, four full bathrooms, cathedral pine ceiling, canoe chandelier, three fully covered decks (One on street side and Two on Lakeside), TREX decking (No splinters), granite counter tops, whiskey barrel table autographed at Bourbon 30 distillery, beautiful view of Big Creek with TVA land on opposite side (Awesome views of wildlife - BRING your binoculars). When we built First Trax Lodge, we placed it as close to the water, as legally allowed, resulting in a SHORT walk from lake. You and your crew will not have to endure a steep mountain hike after a great day on the water! You will have access to a commercial ice machine that can make 100 pounds of ice per day, so you don't have to purchase melted marina ice. There is a concrete walkway to the dock. To access the concrete walkway, there are one of two exits off the bottom deck. One large set of stairs in the middle of the deck, offering direct access to the dock, the other located on the side, as you walk down the stairs from the upper, outdoor kitchen area. The two story dock offers: Dock-age for FOUR boats w two boat slips fully covered / Power outputs / Four outdoor speakers w Bluetooth connectivity / 2,300 Sq Foot with 1,152 sq ft upper deck - gather place - sun deck - morning workout area / Brazilian Hardwood decking which is soft on the feet / Completely finished ceiling to prevent birds from nesting above your boat, you know what that means - NO BIRD DROPPINGS / Gutters and downspouts. Misc comforts include: 60 yards of "Stabilized" shoreline with brand new Rip Rap Limestone (For crystal clear water) / Quiet peaceful neighborhood. There are (3) 65", (1) 49" and (1) 32" 4K Smart TV's at the Lodge, for you to enjoy a good game, movie or let the kids plug in their gaming devices. Located near Knoxville and proximity to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, offer a wide variety of vacation attractions. Thank you Tom and Beth for a wonderful lake week in your beautiful home. This is our 10th year vacationing at Norris and this home is one of the best on the lake! The dock is equipped with all you need and set back in the cove to provide for great swimming.
We loved the outdoor kitchen and sitting area, lots of yummy meals on the grill and Evo:).

The lake water is as good as you will see in the US. Clean, deep, and very pleasant in late June.

This home sits on an unbelievable high perched lakefront site and has a very private yard and dock area.
Our family hosted a family reunion with children and grandchildren from 4 states and this home was the perfect place. It was clean and very well stocked with everything that one could ever need.
But most of all it was the atmosphere. A gorgeous home well appointed and furnished but very comfortable and homey, a real family vibe for sure.
Tom and Beth were incredible hosts. They provide a tremendous amount of helpful information about the house and the various marinas restaurants and sights to see. We've never had such thoughtful and helpful hosts.

This is the second time we have stayed at First Trax Lodge and we came back because it is a perfect home on a perfect lot with a gentle slope to a dock that is perfect for boating, swimming and relaxing on the perfect, clean, smooth part of Norris Lake. The Traxler’s are awesome hosts!

4th trip to Norris lake and by far our favorite property. The location is amazing. On a small cove but close enough to the bigger channels to get to other parts of the lake. Great dock area to swim, float, sun tan on top, jump off top etc. Very nice deck furniture as well.
The house is well appointed and is kept in very good shape. Felt like we were at home. It was very clean, spacious, very nice kitchen both inside and out! The outside kitchen is great for groups, cooking on the EVO is awesome and outside grill. The porch area is beautiful and plenty of furniture for lounging, watching TV, reading a book etc. The walk down to the lake is not bad compared to many at Norris, just a small stroll down a path. Will definitely come back and appreciate all the extra the owners do to make your stay all the more special.

The outdoor kitchen was a hit with my father in law who cooked for us all week! We spent a lot of time on the dock and back deck of the house. First Trax is First Class- 2 years in a row
Our second stay at First Trax lodge and it was better than the first! The property is in tip-top shape, impeccably maintained, super clean, and well suited for maximum lake enjoyment. The owners have continued to improve on greatness with some awesome furniture additions to the dock and a light on the water that draws the fish in at night. The outdoor porch remains the best spot we've found for morning coffee and a monster breakfast is all too easy on the outdoor kitchen with the grilles they have. It remains the only rental on Norris that we've had where we could use the boat lift, which is totally amazing and greatly appreciated when I had to swap the prop on my boat. Everyone loves floating by the dock and jumping since it's calm there. I appreciate the short walk up to the home and not a thousand stairs. We never turned the TV on, but they have awesome cable and super fast wi-fi which is important for me to stay up with work.
I can't say enough good things about the owners and about the condition they keep the property in year-round. This is the best spot on the lake, we fell in love with it after last season's stay here and bought a lot just a few hundred feet away.

The property and total experience are simply amazing.. Fantastic house, fantastic location, fantastic people to work with. 3 generations of family attend this week from 20 - 80 age ranges and its always the best week of the year.. Trax lodge is dependable and they just add touches that make it better and better each year.. tremendous care and personal touch are a hallmark for Trax lodge.. Our first experience renting a house on Norris Lake did not disappoint! After much research and several conversations with Tom, the owner, we decided to book First TraxLodge. The pictures do not do the house justice. The interior is beautifully decorated and every possible amenity inside has been taken care of. There was nothing that was overlooked.
The expansive outside living space is a dream come true! There was plenty of seating for our family and it was spacious enough that people could walk around freely without getting in eachother’s ways. The guys really enjoyed cooking on the EVO grill and the ladies were happy to relax on the comfortable outdoor furniture with an evening cocktail. The kids were happy to have the porch swing on the lower level that was close to the pool table and lake.
The boat dock was immaculate, and again, everything was well thought out. The boat lift was a nice feature, as were the extra chairs, floats and outdoor speaker system. The kids loved choosing the music and jumping off the top of the dock. It was perfect for their videos and instagram pictures.
We are looking forward to our next visit at First TraxLodge and have already told all our family and friends about it! You will not be disappointed.

By far the best Outdoor kitchen we have ever experienced. The house is well suited for family and fun. I especially loved the canoe hanging in the living room! Well done on the entire house. We will definitely be back!!

Exceeded our expectations.
This is a wonderful property, it's really well located on the water and near to the town and the local airport. Clean, new, and a total joy to spend time inside and outside with friends and family, and wow that outdoor kitchen and patio. The owners are incredible, very responsive, and dedicated to making sure that the guest experience was the best on the lake. We hope to stay here again.

Lake Relaxation 2020
Great house and spectacular host! Our families enjoyed every aspect of this vacation. The house, decks, dock, neighborhood and host were wonderful. Plenty of time was spent at the dock enjoying the water, even late into the evening. The outside kitchen was a great place to cook/eat while enjoying family and stories. Great Family Vacation!

Lake week 2020
In the craziness of 2020 we were really looking forward to the lake week at the Trax lodge.. It is our second visit and it is still spectacular in every respect. Location, Vibe, amenities, easy of everything.. the new additions of float island and other bits were also great to see. Thanks for being such great owners

Lots of Amenities
Our family has stayed at well over 20 properties at Norris Lake, and this was our favorite. The outdoor kitchen area was fantastic! We enjoyed our evenings preparing dinner with an amazing view. The outdoor seating was superb, with ceiling fans to keep us cool during our late night conversations with family. The kids really enjoyed the bunk room and the really cool bunk beds. The dock was a hit as well with lights that attract many big fish at night. The owner was gracious enough to share his boat lift, which fit our boat perfectly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful house, amazing back deck!
This home is absolutely perfect in every way! Tom and Beth have thought of every detail to make Lake Life more enjoyable. The house, dock, and interior were all amazing but the game changer was the beautiful back deck complete with outdoor kitchen, dining table, fireplace with TV and sectional sofa! We had to drag ourselves away from the deck each day to go out on our boat! Tom and Beth were wonderful to work with and the entire experience was, by far the best VRBO stay we have had. First Trax Lodge Vacation 2020
In a nutshell, we have spent time on Norris the last 5 years. This is the first place we stayed that we will be back. We have teens to 70+. We were looking for adequate room, close to I-75, gentle grade and access to lake features. It was a home run. We spent 75% of our time in the outdoor area cooking, lounging and reconnecting. The weather wasn't the best but we tubed in the coves close by, we knee boarded up near Whitman Hollow, hit jump rock and the rope swing all within minutes. We had several marina's close by and could be on the south side or north side in a modest amount of time. We'd highly recommend First Trax Lodge. We appreciate the opportunity to vacation here.

Highly recommend First Trax Lodge!
The Traxlers have a beautiful, modern home with all the extra luxuries that is easy to drive to and has a gentle concrete slope to the lake. We couldn’t decide what we liked best- the outdoor living space with an Evo cook surface and a huge grill with 2 outdoor refrigerators, the ice machine that kept the coolers in the boat full, the full size frig and freezer in the garage- (yes4 refrigerators at the house!), the dock with 2 jet ski ramps, a boat lift a floating lilly pad and a sun deck, the oversized washer and dryer, the bidet (🤫) or the peaceful calm waters on this part of the lake. We liked it all so much we will be back! A 10 minute boat ride takes you to delicious Miama Vice drinks at Froggies/ Whitman’s and don’t miss the .50 wings at Geronimo’s at Indian River on Wednesdays. Tom was great at communicating and so easy to work with I feel like we made new friends!

Fantastic Family time
Tom and Beth have built and amazing place. The location both from US 25 and on the lake is fantastic. The big Creek area has such great access to smooth water and marina activity, while the Trax lodge cove is nicely secluded. Tom and Beth also work very hard to ensure the arrival and move in and out for the week is seemless. In terms of the property the outdoor kitchen and living room was an absolute entertainment mecca with almost all of our time spent in some manner, cooking, eating or just hanging out. Of course the dock is great for in water chillin as well and the fish light to attrack the fisherman in everyone is a great added benefit. Great job and an unforgettable week for the 3 generations of family!!! thanks

Amazing property! Outdoor living at its best!
We have been vacationing on Norris Lake for 6 years and love the Big Creek area! We love First Trac Lodge’s neighborhood, it is quiet and safe! It provides a great 4 mile walking/running loop if you are an exercise enthusiast during your stay. The driveway was easy to back our trailers and SUV’s into and the garage provided ample storage space for any boating equipment. The boat dock is great! We loved that one slip had a lift and was both slips were covered. The jumping deck above was enjoyed by our four teenage boys!
The home itself has a great floor plan, is clean, and a fully stocked kitchen! We loved the ice maker in the basement-wish we had one at home!!! The refrigerator space in the home is fabulous for two families! Eating dinner (and really all meals) outside was a treat! The outdoor kitchen and EVO was a huge selling point!!! The dining room table was comfortable and clean and the outdoor island was great for serving meals! We can’t say enough good things about the home and the Owner’s themselves! Don’t hesitate booking property!!! We hope to stay again next year!

Best Vacation Ever
Great home, lake, dock, and owner’s. 14 in my family & house fit us just fine. 3 20’+ boats & dock accommodated with plenty of space for swimming, fishing, and 2nd story lounging. Main level deck is unmatched anywhere we have stayed. I wish Tom & Beth all the success in the future and will definitively be back next year.
