Aqua Blue beste Gastgeber auf Sri Lanka 🇱🇰!

Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und fühlten uns von Anfang an, wie zu Hause. Die Gastgeber Basheer, Shap und Shay haben uns sehr verwöhnt und uns jeden Wunsch erfüllt. Sie sind die perfekten Gastgeber. Shap hat für uns mittags jeweils frischen Seafood eingekauft und seine excellenten Kochkünste unter Beweis gestellt. Vielen Dank, wir haben es genossen!

Klasse Unterkunft für ein paar Tage in Arugam Bay - 3 Minuten Fußweg zum Strand

Nisha und ihr Bruder managen das Hotel wunderbar. Wir waren fast die einzigen Gäste und sie hatte immer Zeit für uns. Wir konnten Dinner abends bestellen und genau sagen was es abends geben soll. Das wurde dann eingekauft und zubereitet. Außergewöhnlich hilfsbereit.

We loved the room but all in all a bit overpriced.

We were greeted with a very yummie juice, Nisha and her brother are both super nice. The room was great. Spacious, clean with fan, AC and Moskito net. There was hot water in the bathroom and a balcony with a hammock. Breakfast was good but very simple and compared to all the other accommodations we stayed at in Sri Lanka rather little. The beach is only a little walk away.

The accommodation was very nice but given that we stayed there in low season I think it was rather overpriced. Would probably be even worse in high season. This has nothing to do with the hosts themselves but they organized a driver for us and he was by far the worst driver we’ve experienced in Sri Lanka. Definitely cannot recommend him.

Super nice hotel close to the beach & town

Our room was super spacious and we were happy to get one on the first floor. We really liked to attached terrace. The hotel is right at the edge of town and you can easily walk to the restaurants and supermarkets. The beach is super close. Nisha & her brother were really helpful.

Nisha arranged a driver for us who claimed another price at the end of the trip. I had the feeling that it was coming from the driver and had nothing to do with Nisha but I would advice to double check before leaving.

Rhyme amazing stay in arugam bay

Nisha and her brother are amazing people and received us very well. We chatted for hours and she shared with us her nightmare during the 2004 tsunami, a true warrior; Location is excellent, only 3min walking from the beach and also near some restaurants; The hammock in front of the room brings a special charm, the only place we found with this in Sri Lanka; Wifi worked perfectly; Nisha cooks very well and each day we had a different type of breakfast. The sri lankan style one was the best for me; In summary this was one of our favorite places during the trip

Nothing to complain on our stay, but I wanted to comment about the bad review below from Maxim as we were guests there during the incident. We only heard one side of the story but I know the full picture has not been told on the review. There are many open questions but we can testify there is no evidence to accuse the hosts from “stealing” anything, so his comment is completely unfair.

Fabulous stay.

The key was the wonderful staff. Nisha and her brother Kani were amazing. So kind helpful and thoughtful. The best customer service ever. Superbly clean facilities. Great quiet location .

A convenient, quiet & cool place to stay in Arugam Bay!

Very clean, quiet & comfortable with easy access to the shops and beach. Our host, Nisha, was very sweet & even invited us to dinner on our first night where she cooked up a delicious feast! She assisted with a lagoon tour and laundry.

Nothing we didn’t like. Breakfast each morning was tasty & varied a bit each day.

This is a good place for a couple to stay. It was clean and cozy. The staff there is very friendly. Breakfast every morning was different and very tasty. The hotel is located very close to the beach, but if you want to surf, you need to get to the main point, which is a 10minute drive from there.

Clean and cosy room, quite place, close to the beach and town center. Really delicious breakfasts from Nisha and Kani, who were also very helpful, hospitable and really friendly! Highly recommended hotel.

Everything. It was the greatest stay of my whole journey. The hosts are so kind and try to support u as much as possible. The rooms are clean and comfy. Breakfast was delicious as well! Beach is really close and loud music is far away. I will (hopefully) come back one day.

the staff is amazing. the two employees taking care of everything. if you need assistance they‘ll be there - they can arrange scooters, lagoon safari and even pick up food if you want. I cooked with them some curries and it was amazing.

We felt very comfortable here, especially because Nisha and her brother, who work here, are super nice and helpful. They helped us with all our questions and also organized our onward transportation. The rooms are very large, clean and all have their own balcony/terrace. The closeness to the beach was super. The accommodation is close to the center too, but a bit outside, so you are a bit away from the hustle and bustle, which we found very pleasant. :) Also the surf instructor, Aswer (a friend of the family), they organized for us was great and super nice - we really enjoyed our lessons with him. So if you want to go surfing, we would totally recommend him. All in all a great stay - we would book the accommodation again!

Perfect. Excellent experience

The staff were exceptional. it is a family run accommodation, and it really shows. Nisha and her brother are extremely welcoming and friendly, and often go above and beyond to ensure you’re comfortable and well looked after. Nisha is also an exceptional cook. The breakfasts and dinner were a highlight of the stay. Aqua Blue is also situated 15 seconds walk from the beach, and a 10 minute walk from the main ‘strip’. I would thoroughly recommend staying here to anyone heading to Arugam Bay.

We really loved our stay at Aqua Blue! The hostess and her brother make your stay at Arugum-bay the best!! They do everything to give you a pleasant stay and the brother shows you around in the wildlife. He has the best eyes and made us see so much elephants and crocodiles. The sweetest people we met so far in Sri Lanka.

Great place to stay in Arugam bay. The rooms are comfortable and clean, they have everything you need A/C, fan, small fridge, internet, hot water, hammock. The location is at the beggining of Arugam, but conveniently near the beach as well as the best local place to eat in A -bay. But the best of all are the hostess Nisha and her brother who really make you feel welcome and at ease, ready to chat as well as help with everything-from surf classes, scooter rental, mini safari, transport. Always with smile on their faces despite the hard work they do. Thanks for making our stay so memorable! The new owner is also nice.

Nice hotel in Arugam Bay

Very nice and big rooms with balcony and AC. The staff (two siblings) were very friendly and helpfull. The breakfast was fresh and enough for us.

The owner (not the siblings) is not a very nice person but we just saw him once during our stay.

We would absolutely recommend this place!

The rooms were spacious, perfectly clean and absolutely comfortable. But Nisha and Kani were the reason our stay was absolutely perfect. They are some of the kindest people we met. Great hospitality. They helped us with everything. Nisha is a great cook and Kani even took us out to see some crocodiles & elephants. Our time at the aqua blue was more a 15 out of 10.

The owner made this stay unforgettable! We were welcomed with a Pineapple Lassie, they did our laundry, there’s free water and they made us a very very delicious rotti pizza! The rooms were the best on our Sri Lanka trip and really worth the price. We would love to come again and recommend it to everyone!

Great room and Nisha and her brther Kany really nice people

I didnt like being overcharged . My first 3 nights i booked on Booking.com ,all cool , i stayed a further 9 nights not booked on booking.com , told it would be a good deal but when i got my bill i couldnt beleive it ... the owner had increased the price significantly while i was there without agreeing with me first , very bad practice and also he avoided the booking.com fee ... avoid like te plague

What a nice experience! Nisha and her brother are exeptional hosts! The room is simple, very clean and comes with everything you need! AC, fan, even an fan outside on your terrace. Laundry was done in a day.The food Nisha prepares on demand is really delicious and always served with a big smile. I had a fantastic stay, would come back anytime!!

Best people, best food, best stay

Just everything! We were so sad to leave! We became a little Familie together it was always nice to chat with Nisha and Kani :) They helped with everything always - just amazing! And the foood omg guys the food was the best I’ve had in Sri Lanka !

The Best Stay

Words cannot describe how much we loved our stay at Aqua Blue- in which the excellent owner Rafael truly owns a gem of a place. The room was perfectly equipped, of a great size, with a fridge and air con. Shower both hot and powerful. Balcony and hammock a lovely touch and ideal for relaxing with a drink in the evening! But what really makes Aqua Blue special is the talents, warmth and hosting abilities of its staff. Nisha and Kani provide fabulous service- with Nisha’s cooking by far the best we have enjoyed in our time in Sri Lanka. Ingredients of an excellent standard and fresh (be that from Aqua Blue’s garden, the family garden or the sea)-the food is to die for! We truly made great friends in Nisha and Kani during our stay- and both were always on hand to provide assistance if required (I.e organising scooters, tuk tuks or doing laundry). You’d be mad to stay anywhere else when in Arugam Bay!!

Great rooms with balconies and hammocks

Nisha and her brother were incredibly welcoming and hospitable! They made us feel comfortable and were always keen to help at any time. The rooms are fantastic, with good air conditioning and hammocks for sitting out on in the evening. We would recommend this place to anyone!

Just slightly on the edge of arugam bay, but this is also nice if you like somewhere nice and quiet to stay.
