prior to arriving the host was not very accommodating. apparently the ad mentioned that no towels or bed sheets were provided - I had not seen this. I received an email several days before the arrival mentioning that because of Covid the hosts were no longer providing towels or bed linen or kitchen towels. I replied mentioning that we already had left the UK (home) and was surprised with this reminder as I hadn’t noticed this on the ad. We went back and forth by email and I asked for an exception as we would otherwise have to buy bedsheets and towels on our end and have 2 small children (less than 2 and less than 6 months) so taking hours from our short holiday to go purchase these things with 2 small children was less than ideal. but the host refused to make an exception. she also didn’t allow us to access the flat a couples hours early (we arrived around 2pm and the flat was available from 4pm) mentioning that cleaning was still taking place. in the end the flat was ok but i didn’t find the lady host to be thoughtful or accommodating. we also went to our friends flat that they had rented even closer to the beach and they had 2 properly sized bedrooms and were able to check in their flat in the morning on their end instead of 4pm - for a similar price to us. the host was however flexible with giving us 30min extra time for our check out (10.30am instead of 10am) and was kind enough not remove anything from our deposit after I explained we had make a stain on the sofa.
