About this house rental
Situated in Shelter Island, this charming house for £364 per night is a great choice for your next break. Sleeps 4 adults (max) or total of 6 with kids. Perfect family getaway. Shelter Island Rental License #: 2023-V-0018 Weekly and Monthly Discounts for Winter Rentals! Stay at our newly renovated, light filled home! In the warmer months lounge by the heated pool in the private tree-filled yard, relax in the hot tub that overflows into the pool, nap in the shade of the pool house, then rinse off in the outdoor shower. Read a book in the hammock or on the porch rocking chairs. BBQ on the big back deck and hang out by the outdoor fire pit to roast marshmallows in the evening. **Pool & hot tub CLOSED NOVEMBER - MAY. In the colder months, stay in the mid-century modern style living room, play board games and watch a movie on Netflix with a roaring fire in the stone fireplace or walk to the best sledding on the island. Cook in our well appointed kitchen and eat while watching the sunshine and stars through the dining room skylight. You will never have to leave the house for an incredibly relaxing vacation! Perfect for a family get away any time of year (we also have toys, pool toys, and a Wii with lots of games) or for a place just to get away from it all. And when you want to get out to explore Shelter Island - we are less than 1 mile from beautiful Sunset Beach! Beach by day, have a cocktail at the bar to watch the sunset in the evening! Walking distance to the public golf course. Or take the Ferry to Greenport or Sag Harbor for an easy trip! Ride the bikes to town for lunch. From the house it's an easy walk to the ice cream shop and Ice Pond Park. The house is situated on a very quiet, dead-end street with a beautiful, tree filled, and large yard. We have privacy for relaxing, but are close enough to Shelter Island Heights, the North Ferry to Greenport, the South Ferry to the Hamptons, and other conveniences to make this the perfect vacation location. We'll provide you with maps and tips for exploring the island's beaches and restaurants. Before purchasing this house we rented on Shelter Island for many years, so our goal is to make your stay as perfect as we can. IMPORTANT: - PLEASE DO NOT PUT IN A BOOKING REQUEST UNTIL WE HAVE HAD AN EMAL EXCHANGE ON VRBO. -**Must be 30 years or older to rent the house. Families encouraged. 4 adults maximum. Hot Tub and Pool are Closed November - Mid May. House Details: Central Air and Ceiling Fans in each room. Bedroom 1 - 1 Queen Bed (sleeps 2); private back deck; full bathroom with shower Bedroom 2 - 1 full bed (sleeps 2) Bedroom 2 - 1 twin bunk bed, 1 twin bed, 1 expandable twin bed (from Bo Concept) (sleeps 3 children) Bathroom 2 - clean and renovated with bathtub and shower Pool - Heated and beautiful. Open Mid May - October **Note: Swimming only. There is no diving. The pool is not deep enough.** Hot Tub - Open Mid May - October Pool House with Outdoor Shower - Open May - October Washer/Dryer Kitchen with Stainless Steel appliances WiFi, basic cable and Apple TV with Netflix The premises are equipped with exterior security cameras. Cameras are not monitored for guest safety in any way and should not be relied on by guests for personal security or security of their belongings. Cameras may be used to enforce and verify compliance with rental policies.

What a lovely retreat! Beautiful property and surprise upgrades throughout the home; a delight as soon as you open the front door. Gorgeous and spacious backyard, pool, hot tub and pool house. Even better than the photos. The kitchen upgrades were chef quality and had every imaginable appliance including a high end juicer and coffee maker. Tastefully decorated but not overdone; comfortable beds throughout, along with a plethora of video games, children's toys and an interesting book collection in the MBR. Easy walk to 'Sunset Beach', several restaurants, bagel shop and ice cream parlor but don't miss an opportunity to explore the rest of the Island, beaches and nature trails. Host Jennifer was extremely available to answer any questions and an ample 'house book' provided many suggestions for activities, dining and adventures. We are already looking at next year's calendar to rent again!

Although we always try to leave a home as clean and tidy as when we arrive, we felt so endeared to your hospitality we talked as a family how to keep things nice, avoid cup rings on wooden pieces, watch for any issues, add to your shell collection on the front porch railing, leave a few things for the freezer and pantry! Thank you for having thought of all of the little things which a family might need in the kitchen, we loved cooking and eating together in your well stocked (essentials and spices and gadgets and more!) It was a restful and healing stay for us. We all enjoyed the pool and, especially I, the hot tub, so relaxing and such a treat to be outdoors a little longer this season. Hi we traveled as a family of four adults (including grandparents) and our two children ages 6 and 2.5yrs old) in the month of July 2021. We had a wonderful time and would not hesitate to recommend this property to others. Our kids had the best time at the pool and hot tub area and in the garden. The house was very clean, had everything you needed and was very cozy and comfortable as well. Its a great option for a quiet family vacation and traveling with small children. We may be biased because Shelter Island holds a special place in our hearts but the house and surrounding grounds were beautiful and held their own. We are really thankful for being able to stay there and would love to return!

We had a great time at this house. Shelter island is beautiful and the house is located near the end of a quiet street. It has a large private yard and a wonderful pool and spa. You are on a neighborhood street but it feels very private. Jennifer was very nice and helpful with any questions we had. We would go back if the opportunity arrises.

We had a great time at the house. The pool and hot tub are great, and they heat up fairly quickly. The bedrooms are nice, as are the bathrooms. The living room is comfortable with lots of games available. We liked the availability of pool floats and bikes. The location is also great. The one downside was the electric stove/oven. Otherwise, we had a wonderful time at the house and would definitely rent it again!

The newly renovated house was clean and beautifully decorated with comfortable beds and a fully equipped kitchen. The grounds around the house were equally as beautiful with a large wooded front yard with fire pit and swing, and a large backyard with a gorgeous pool and hot tub. My family included 8 year old twins, a couple of 19 year olds, and 4 adults and there was something for everyone including books and toys for the smaller ones, and a great pool house where the teens could have their privacy. The house is walking distance to the local ice cream store, and very close to the ferry, Sunset Beach (Crescent Beach) and the supermarket. It was a perfect vacation for all. The owner was very helpful and responsive as well. We can't wait to go back!

We stayed with another couple and had a 4y, 3y and 1y old with us. The house is newly renovated and everything is in top notch shape. It is child friendly and the pool and jacuzzi are just the right size. We loved the outdoor fire pit and watched fire flies in the evening will grilling marshmallows. The house is very close to Sunset Beach (Crescent Beach) and a short drive to the supermarket. The owner is very responsive and friendly, and answered within the hour. We will be back!

We loved our stay at this location, which was perfect for three adults and two older teens. Amazing pool / hot tub area, with tons of pool toys and a wonderful yard for games. The house is bright, cheerful and very clean, and feels modern yet cozy. Everything feels new or very well maintained. The owner is very responsive, and the instructions / recommendations very thorough.
Families with small kids in Shelter Island may find the dining options a bit expensive - not a problem if you're willing to cook, which we did most nights in the gas grill.
Overall, a great house and highly recommended!

The nicest owner and super friendly. Our first time renting a house with my husband and toddler. They made it worth the 3hr drive from NYC. Didn't even know there is a huge strawberry farm in Long Island. We rented the house with 2 couples and they all enjoyed the pool and the whole house. The light up pool and the jacuzzi was our favorite. The grill was nice and big , we cooked 50% of the days. It was solo much fun being there and listening to music outside while playing batminton and volleyball ( we brought our own net). Over all great price and worth every penny.
