This renovated East Beach charmer home with 4 bedrooms and 2 baths is yours for the renting. Located marsh front on the corner of Ocean Road and 2nd Street, this cottage is in the perfect location for sun and fun! Built in 1940, this house has been completely remodeled all the way down to the studs and back. It will wow you the moment you walk in! Stainless appliances, gas stove top, quartz countertops, kitchen island, Keurig and standard coffee makers, are but a few of the features that await you in this chef’s kitchen. Seat six at the dining table, with four at the kitchen island to make dinner gatherings for ten a possibility. After dinner, relax in the family room and watch your favorite show on the wall-mounted smart TV. The master bedroom boasts an en-suite bath with walk in shower, double vanity, and water closet. Enjoy the marsh front, screened-in porch off of the master bedroom. Your overnight guests or family members will stay in two well-appointed bedrooms and a bunk room with built-ins that can sleep four. Location! From Landfall Cottage, you are a short walk to the beach (Coast Guard Station Beach Access Point) and only 1.7 miles to the Pier and Village area. It is about 1/2 - 1 mile distance to grocery store and restaurants. Another brand new amenity for this fabulous cottage - On-Site Tesla (EV) Charger! Landfall Cottage, located at 1608 Ocean Road, St. Simons Island, will be your family’s favorite spot to getaway! CHECK IN: 4:00 pm CHECK OUT: 10:00 am • Group gatherings and events at this property are limited to the number of occupants (10 persons). • Dogs are allowed at this property for an additional non-refundable pet fee. (no cats). • Parking for 3 cars in driveway and in front of the property • Walk to Coast Guard Station Public Beach Access, 1.7 miles to Pier Village Minimum age to rent is 25. This applies to all guests with the exception of multi-generational families. What to Expect in your Unit: • There are 6 TVs in this property. • Linens (Bath towels & bed sheets) are provided along with a Starter Supply of Toilet Paper, Soap, Paper Towels, Trash Bags and Coffee Supplies (Any additional supplies needed during tenancy will be the responsibility of the guest.) Bedding Includes: 2 – King 1 – Queen 2 Sets of Bunk Beds Don’t forget to bring your beach chairs, beach towels and sunscreen! NOTE: Fireplace is for decoration only. We had a wonderful time at this homey, perfectly located house. We could easily walk to the beach, we could even hear the waves from the yard at night. The home was cozy and perfectly equipped for everything we needed! The screened in porch is a dream. Would love to stay again.

Other than a problem with the batteries in the door keypads when we arrived (a problem quickly remedied), the property was very comfortable and well prepared. We liked the short walk to the beach.

Some features need attention….well equipped otherwise. Dog hair noticed on socks, mine is non shed. Overall enjoyed the place, area, etc.
I assume the property mgr. is owner’s mother. Was unaware she would “show up”, but she was pleasant.

This house is close to the Coast Guard Station beach access, clean, well stocked, nice layout, linens, and furniture. There were 4 beach chairs, a wagon to transport stuff to beach, and several beach towels. My favorite part of the house was the screened porch with a marsh view.

The house was clean and as advertised. There was some issues with the refrigerator and dish washer, which need to be replaced. Good access to beach. Overall, nice little house for a quick get away.

We stayed at landfall cottage for thanksgiving and thoroughly enjoyed the well stocked kitchen. The walk to the beach is easy and the house has been well decorated. The beds are comfortable yet the fitted sheet did not stay fitted. Also could use a squeegee in master bath shower. The house overall is a great cottage!

Management was great. Home was updated, open, clean and comfortable. Location is as great - very close to beach and nice views of the marsh. Kitchen was well stocked with nice coffee bar. Internet worked perfectly as I did work some daily. Screen porch and fire pit area was a plus and nice for the couple of cool nights we had. We travel a lot and would rank this place a 9 of 10. Cons: need better TVs in bedrooms.

We had a wonderful stay at Landfall Cottage (I might have gotten the name wrong.) it is beautifully decorated with quality workmanship throughout. 5 minute walk to the beach, close to town center. We ate all our meals there - the kitchen was well stocked. Great spaces - we used them all! From the screened-in porch, to the huge island, the dining room table for our sit-down dinners and all star breakfasts (we like to cook and eat!) to the living room for chilling before the next event. The bathrooms were great. We highly recommend!

Overall, I would have loved this house. However, the internet/wifi which controls the TV as well is awful. We had several adults who planned to work while staying the week, but the internet and wifi were consistently out. Unable to watch any TV or work with wifi for pretty much the whole week. No US Open, no Netflix etc. and having to utilize individual hot spots. Definitely not worth the weekly rental rate if you cannot get reliable wifi/internet.

Great stay at Landfall Cottage. The house is well appointed and updated. Would definitely stay again! Our family had a wonderful time. Would recommend the house get a recycle bin, when we arrived the trash was wildly overfilled and had to smell it for the first three days of vacation. Could be prevented if the house had a recycle bin.

The only negatives was that this year the house seemed to have less bath towels so we spent a lot of time doing laundry. Also, the housekeeper arrived before our 10:00 checkout. I know it’s a very busy time of year and she probably had several properties to prepare for check-in, but it did make us feel unnecessarily rushed to leave. We had a wonderful weekend. The house was beautiful and perfect for our family. We loved that is was a short walk to the the beach, to rent bikes and go to restaurants. It was our 20th anniversary. We wanted to include the kids on our quick weekend getaway. We had never visited a GA beach. We loved St Simon.

Incredible stay for my family of 6. Kitchen is the new family room and 1608 Ocean brings this to light. Bunk room was great for the kids. Block and half from beach. Having the outdoor shower with both hot and cold water was awesome for the kids to clean up before entering after all day at the beach.

This is an adorable house in a perfect beach walkable location. It’s decorated rather well and has a decent kitchen setup. The land lord is a business, not a person so don’t expect personal, warm hospitality. But the he house does come with beach chairs, boogie boards, and TVs in every room. The house itself does have a few problems that made our stay frustrating. The freezer pops open every time you open the fridge, the kitchen lights sometimes take a few minutes to come on, and the oven seems to leek gas as it set of the carbon monoxide detector when we turned it on.

My family rented this cute house for a week at the beach. The walk to the beach was relatively short and the view of the marsh at sunset was great. The house was clean and the appliances where top of the line. We had the four grandchildren sleep in the bunk room, which worked out great. My daughter and her hubby had the master suit while my hubby and I had separate bedrooms due to snoring. The only down side, was having only two bathrooms for all of us, with six of us sharing the one bathroom on our side of the house. I have rented other houses from other companies on St. Simon, and I can tell you that Real Escapes is now my favorite to rent from. We rented bicycles from the shop 0.5 miles away, across from two awesome seafood restaurants....really great eating. It was a very enjoyable stay.

Obviously, this year was a strange one, based on the virus. The single family house felt "safe". The front screened porch allowed for a few "social-distancing" get togethers with friends. Being near the beach was important in the days of multiple walks.
