Minturn Haus at 107 Williams Street is a one-of-a-kind two room, second floor apartment/vacation home in downtown, historic Minturn. This unique property is five minutes to Vail and Beaver Creek, and is owned and managed by the McLaughlin Family.
107 Williams Street, built in 1902, oozes charm and historic character. From the hand-painted vineyard outside mural, wood floors throughout, high quality furniture and bedding, the apartment provides comfort and walkable access to restaurants and shops in the heart of Minturn's vibrant Restaurant District.
Monkshood Cellars, a working winery and cidery, is located on the first level, offers sales and tastings during the week and by appointment.
The apartment, on the second floor of the historic building, is accessed by an outside (covered) set of stairs and is the only apartment in the building. The apartment is made of up two separate rooms and an outdoor deck.
The room at the top right of the stairs is a detached bedroom with three high quality beds (one king and two queens). The beds feature all new linens including Pendleton wool blankets and Brooklinen down comforters/sheets.
Because the beds are in one loft style room, this arrangement is best for families or close friends. The bedroom has direct access to the outside deck in the spring, summer, and fall and has a small television with DirecTV.
The other room directly across from the bedroom, six feet outside under the same roof that covers the stairs, has the 3/4 bath (walk-in shower but no tub), kitchenette, and dining/living room. This room has direct access to the outside deck in the spring, summer, and fall. The living room has WiFi and a 50 inch HD television with DirecTV.
Outside in the summer and fall enjoy the gas BBQ and outdoor furniture.
Parking is available for one car directly outside of the apartment. Additional overnight parking for guests is at the Minturn Municipal parking lot, a short walk from the apartment.
Please note a few things about the apartment: There is no stove in the kitchenette but there is a microwave, toaster, table top roasting oven, blender, and coffee maker. The two rooms are detached and you have to walk six feet outside (under a roof) to go between. The bathroom is not in the bedroom. The apartment does not have a washer or dryer.

Sep 2018We found Minturn to be a quiet charming town. The property is nicely furnished with very nice interior architecture, and some good eating choices within short walking distance. Feb 2018The property, as described is above a little winery, and consists of two separate rooms-living room / dining area /kitchen / and bathroom and a few steps outside and back in to the bedroom. We were prepared for that and just brought slippers with us when we went back and forth. Warm and cozy and literally a stones throw from restaurants.
My husband, son, and I skied in Vail and decided to drive as the bus schedule ran 3 times in the morning and 3 times later afternoon and we wanted flexibility to come and go. Although parking at the garage in Vail can be pricey ($30), the $4 cost for the bus one way added up to $24 for all of us so we drove.
Would stay there again. Bet it's beautiful in the summer. Read more

Jan 2019The charming apartment was just right for family of 4. So cozy to sit on comfy couch next to gas stove after skiing. Kitchen had all the basics for coffee/hot coco, wine and take out. Lots of places to eat within walking distance. Thai, pizza, BBQ, Mexican and more. Sunrise Minturn cute coffee shop steps away. Avon also just a short drive up the road for more food options and of course no shortage in Vail. Vail 10 minutes away or if you’re brave can ski the Minturn Mile practically to your door. Our son did it and created a lasting memory!

It is a beautifully decorated, has everything you need including paper towels,shampoo, conditioner and is in a great location next to good restaurants, shops and an easy drive to Vail. The apartment is 2 rooms across an outside hallway . This was not a problem at all and made it convenient to have a quiet room for naps. Thanks so much !

Aug 2017How cool to stay above a winery! This upstairs apartment had everything we needed for our three day stay. We were able to walk to all the restaurants and shops throughout downtown Minturn, and it was close to Leadville and Vail, which was important to us. The apartment itself had all of the amenities we were looking for, including extremely comfortable beds and a nicely stocked kitchen. We especially loved the historic books and photos throughout the apartment. Renters should know going into this, however, that the apartment's kitchen is limited with a small refrigerator and without a stove -- which was fine for our needs. Also there is an outside breezeway between the two rooms. This did not bother us at all. (Some of the hassle could be reduced by putting a lock on the downstairs gate so that you wouldn't have to keep locking both doors upstairs. Also it would be nice to have some sort of padding on the screen door so that it didn't slam with a loud bang every time it closed.) Those are extremely minor nitpicks that did not take away from our overall enjoyment. We truly loved this place -- it feels like a European chalet!! Minturn is a gem of a mountain town -- and we hope to return soon! Read more

Walking distance to everything you'd need - bars, restaurants, fly shop. Parking is only for one car at the apartment but can have other parking in public lot only a couple minutes away. Read more
