Amazing Location, better then expected…
We loved this home and it was located so close to everything but still felt remote. The pictures don’t do the waterfront justice. We are definitely considering a return. The home could use a little TLC but we assume that Covid has played a part there. Kitchen amenities had just about everything (except dishtowels and scrub brushes?) but the home had almost everything you could want overall. We absolutely loved it. Read more

Fantastic stay - great house!
We had an awesome stay at the Caboose Royal. The home was clean and in great condition. The main floor is very open with lots of seating for a crowd. The kitchen was well stocked. With 5 bedrooms and 3 full baths, the house handled our large family with ease. We enjoyed the huge yard and dock. The two kayaks were a bonus too. Facing east was great for a windy weekend. We enjoyed the views and water without the large waves on the opposite side of the peninsula. Our children also enjoyed exploring the caboose which has a couple of beds and running water! Excellent house and we would not hesitate to rent it again. Thank you! Read more

Grounds and upkeep
The lawn was not mowed or weed whacked upon arrival. The air conditioning was off and it was 87 degrees in the main floor, hotter upstairs. It took 4 hours for the house to cool down and the 3 bedrooms upstairs were unbearable due to the heat regardless of the separate ac unit. Our guests upstairs were miserable and had to put the baby downstairs so he could sleep but was freezing in the downstairs 2 bedrooms. Neither one one of the downstairs tubs worked, could not hold water or take a bath. No handicap accessories. Floors are very uneven and decks and lake access very unsafe due to broken unsafe boards. Called to request the lawn be mowed Saturday and an elderly gentleman came alone during the middle of the afternoon which made us all feel uncomfortable as if we should help him up and down the hill. He was very nice but they need a lawn crew. Definitely not worth what we were charged and were not even offered a discount. We definitely got ripped off . Read more

Late Summer Vacation
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time staying at caboose royale. The house was clean and well stocked with everything we could have needed, it even had a second fridge and two kayaks. The water was clear and cool, but swimable. It was rocky so water shoes or heavy duty sandals came in handy. The yard was large and there were yard games in the garage. There were lots of games and puzzles but we had no time to use them because we were always outside. The house is only A few minute drive from downtown Sutton’s Bay. Overall great experience! Read more
