Jul 2021We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The location was great. The entire area is very nice and well maintained. The beds are very comfortable and we had everything we needed during our stay. The owner went out of his way to help us with anything that we needed which we greatly appreciated. Oct 2018We rented this cottage for a 4-day weekend in early October to go fishing. My daughter caught over 60 fish right from the dock! The cottage was clean and spacious. Everything needed was provided. All we needed to bring was food, clothes, and fishing equipment. We'll be renting again next year. Read more

No working outdoor faucet to rinse off the kayaks or fill a children's pool. (swimming was out of the question with algae build up off the dock)
We fortunately had a good neighbor next door lend us his hose. We also wished we knew that a sunk boat lift was protruding out of the water by the dock., it was dangerous for any swimming.
The grill was rusted out and difficult to use because of flare ups. Could also use a extra window A/c unit in the kitchen/ living room, the cabin got very hot on some of the days. Read more

Jul 2019Was looking forward to our stay. We open the door and was hit by such a musty smell. Bad on the allergies. Opened windows . Sprayed fabreeze. Bedding smelled musty. We air that out- As best we could. Ants - probably caused by higher than normal water levels. Chilly the first night.we decided to watch a little news. Had an issue with the tv. Owner sent someone down the next day to fix it but we were not there. We had to get one of the grandkids to come out to get it going. Owner messaged me late in the evening ( after 8) to tell us that someone had come during the day. We won’t be going back there. Fireworks on the bay were beautiful. That was a plus! Read more

Oct 2020Very nice property right on the bay - perfect location to relax and enjoy the water. Used the kayaks @ the house and the fire pit (multiple times). Loved the great room with all of the windows - was a perfect spot to hang out, eat meals with the family, play games and enjoy the sun/breeze if we were indoors.

Jun 2018This cottage is perfect for a family of 4 or 6 or 2 couples (2 bdrm). The bathroom is spacious and had plenty of towels & even a night lite. The kitchen is open and well stocked. The great room is where we ate at the picnic table there to look out at the water. There were fans for the bdrms and ceiling fans in kitchen n great room but we never really needed them the cool breezes came thru fine! There are all new windows throughout so they were easy to open/close. Comfy beds, comfy furniture throughout. Neat and clean upon arrival.The owners were very accomodating and helpful with ALL of my pre& during rental questions. My kids brought friends so we had 4 kids aged 12 to 8 who kept very busy using the cottages dock to fish, the canoe n kayaks to spend hours on the bay. The sunsets were beautiful. I am planning to come again this summer or fall and book a whole week next summer. I already booked a weekend as a birthday gift to my sister from all of our family. None of us wanted to leave. The boat launch was an easy 5 min away.

Oct 2020The yard and view is gorgeous. Lots of space outside. The cottage is on a dead end and an awesome street for taking a walk with your morning coffee. The Fall colors were so pretty.
Not far for a day trip to Sodus Bay or Fair Haven state park. The inside of the cottage is rustic but quaint and has two very comfortable double beds. Lots of couches and table space for eating and games. Was stocked with most of what you will need for your stay. If you are looking for plush luxury, this is not for you. If you are looking for a comfortable , relaxing stay with a beautiful view, large yard and fire pit, book it. We would definitely stay again. My one suggestion is to leave step by step instructions for the tv and remotes. Took me a long time to figure out and I only figured it out by accident with some frustration. Oct 2019The cottage was exactly as described. Beautiful location. There was too much seaweed to swim; however that wasn't a problem for us as our vacation was later in the year. We fished off the dock, took a charter fishing boat out of Sodus Bay and relaxed by our fire pit each day. Thanks for allowing the dog to come along. It was such a peaceful, relaxing vacation in a quaint cottage. When we had a little trouble with the roku, the owners quickly helped us solve the problem. We would definitely rent again! Read more

Aug 2021Owners were super about communicating, location is just beautiful and cottage itself very nice. We were just really disappointed with cleanliness of the cottage. There was literally mold and moss growing in windowsills of porch (and I do understand lake cottages have there challenges - but these had not been cleaned in months - maybe years!). Tremendous about of dust and cobwebs on all ceiling fans and lamps. There were kayaks available, which was really convenient and they were in good shape, but we spent quite a while cleaning the inside of them before we could use them. Dock was full of geese poop upon - but there was a hose nearby, so clean up would have been easy before guests arrive. Overall - quiet, peaceful location, amazing views from porch, but spent the better part of first two days cleaning. To whomever arrives after us...we hope you enjoy your stay and I can promise the cottage is 100 times cleaner than when we arrived. Read more

Jun 2022I absolutely adored this cottage. It’s a country setting. Quiet neighbors. And absolutely a beautiful during sunset and sunrise. We enjoyed fishing off the dock, a small bonfire, and hanging out in the 4 seasons room. We didn’t get to take out the kayaks but we will be returning to use them next time! The hosts are amazing and made sure we were well taken care of. Already in the process of planning our next trip here this year! Read more
