Mar 2020We stayed one week in this beautiful home in March 2020. The house is very spacious, big enough for a family of 8. We had a great time there. It"s located very close to stores, restaurants and not far from the beaches of Ft. Myers and Sanibel. Fishing was great in the evenings right from the dock. We caught some nice Jacks and Snappers. I would highly recommend this property. Although we like to stay at different places when we travel to Florida for spring break we are thinking of booking this house again next year. Read more

Apr 2019We stayed in this wonderful home for a week with 2 families of 4 very comfortably. The full size kitchen and dinning area made making dinner very easy. The 4 bedrooms were perfect size especially the over sized master bedroom and bath with a huge walk in shower. The outdoor patio area was our favorite place from the morning sunrise with a cup of coffee to the evening sunsets with a cocktail in hand. We used the outdoor grill to make our favorite kabobs and corn on cob. The pool and lounge chairs were a big hit to soak in some rays and splash in the sun. We had an awesome week and had only has 2 issues. 1. The pool cover needs replacing as its very brittle and ripping which causes the little plastic bubbles everywhere in the pool. 2. We woke one morning to a very green and cloudy pool. We texted Karen and she was able to get the pool people out right away to fix the issue. It's a good thing we had planned to spend the day away from the house as we had to stay out of the pool until the next day. This house is close to everything Cape Coral has to offer. We did our initial grocery shopping at the Publix and were very surprised at the HIGH prices. We then found a Walmart neighborhood market close by with more reasonable prices. Jan 2019We found the perfect location for our winter get-away! This gorgeous home is located on Thunderbird Lake - a great waterfront location - in a quiet neighborhood.
The house and heated pool were immaculate and offered lots of open space for our family to relax and enjoy the beautiful Florida weather.
Some days, we stayed in, played in the pool, and used the fishing poles that were provided to fish right off of the home's dock. Other days we enjoyed the local bike paths, Tarpon Point Marina, Sanibel Island, and Captiva Island.

Mar 2019Very clean and well appointed property. Here for girls weekend. There was plenty of space for us all to spread out and great common areas to hang out together. Especially liked sitting by the pool and enjoying the beautiful view.
I enjoyed running to nearby Rotary Park environmental center every day. The park has several running and biking trails, wildlife observation tower and dog runs.
Many restaurants and shopping within walking distance at Tarpon Point.

Dec 2018This was a great pick for us for our girls' long weekend in November. The property was clean, well maintained, and easy to be comfortable in. I love that the kitchen had everything we needed for the nights that we cooked in or barbecued...and I mean everything. The central location made it easy to drive to all our day trips. The bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and could fit the entire family, if you feel like bringing the whole gang. The pool in the backyard is on the quiet inlet and was peaceful for reading and relaxing. And the owner was easily reached and attentive. Feb 2020This is a spacious, quiet property overlooking Lake Thunderbird. That lake view is special. The house was clean, and our communication with the owners was easy though, as it turned out, not necessary for any problems. The little extras provided, like laundry detergent, garbage bags, sandwich bags, dishwasher detergent, etc., was very convenient for us and certainly made our experience more comfortable. Nov 2018This home is perfect for anyone looking to stay in Cape Coral. The house was very clean, simply furnished and has an open floor plan with beautiful views of the lake (entertainment includes watching the mullet jump out of the water and seeing the clouds change color during the sunset). The pool was clean and there are plenty of chairs and towels for guests. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare your own meals or go out to many of the conveniently located restaurants. Bike paths surround the property, and there are two, vintage Cruisers bikes for guests to use. The Westin hotel is 1.5 miles away (you can walk, bike or drive) and there are many good restaurants and bars within minutes. You won't be disappointed staying at this lovely home. Read more

Nov 2020the house was very clean. the owners are very responsible and take care of you. the pool was excellent for kids. very nice place for fishing. we saw dolphins two days in a row! the neighbors are friendly. easy to access everywhere. nice dock. the only downside is that the house is not looking at the south, so, you don't get so much sun for the pool. but still very satisfied and we definitely want to visit here again. May 2019The home is located in a great spot! Close enough to the airport to not have to rush, and many shops on the way to stock up on food an fishing bait. The house is far enough from the beach to get away from the traffic. Sanibel Island is a short drive and the major hotel seen is also a short drive or a nice bike ride away.
The size of the home was perfect for four adults and the house was equipped with everything we needed.
No complaints, but advice -
Call the owners with any and all concerns, they are very hands on.
Love lizards and geckos.
Keep some dollar bills with you, it is $2 to get over the bridge and the right lane seemed to be the winning choice for tolls every time.
Marina life - pesticides are not the answer near our water - Not the homeowners fault, but the spiders were a bit much to walk into in the pool area. The owners offered to have someone come clean them up, but we had a brave person in the group clear the area so we could move in and relax.
We were under the impression the home came with kayaks because of the photos. This was our mistake after reading so many reviews on other homes and we should not have assumed. We mention this fact because when we called the owners (they are great at texting!) they referred us to several places and an areas to rent boats etc.
Tide comes in at 8:30 and we had a blast fishing off the dock.
There is a nice welcome book with plenty of info as well.

Mar 2020First, the rating is for the property itself, Gulf Breeze Villa. It was beautiful, fully equipped, and roomy enough for our family. We rented the home for 2 weeks; one of those weeks housed 3 generations (grandparents to grandkids) and we were perfectly comfortable. The location is terrific, close to all the hotspots, but one could easily relax by the pool and feel very much on vacation instead. It was a wonderful vacation in a perfect spot, in a lovely home. If you are looking for a place to land and recoup, this is it. We recommend the property. Suggestions going forward for Evolve, are to include personal check in and check out meeting with an agent; nothing replaces the personal touch in communication with the vacationers. Suggest that checkout procedure include rounding up towels, etc., without mandating that they be washed and dried before leaving. Otherwise, it was a great experience.
