Renovations include brand new furniture, new kitchen with stainless appliances, updates to the bathroom including a new tiled shower and outdoor improvements.
This single-story cottage has a living area with comfortable seating, flat screen television and cable, WIFI and an air conditioner window unit. The kitchen is open to the living room, separated by a breakfast bar with seating for four.
There are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with two twins.
Grill out on the new brick patio with dining table and chairs and an enclosed outdoor shower.
Follow the sandy path, approximately 200 yards, to the shared private beach on Cape Cod Bay with views of Provincetown.
Conveniently located on the shuttle route--leave your car behind and head to Provincetown for dining, shopping, whale watching, charter fishing and other adventure! Short drive to beaches and Truro attractions including Highland Lighthouse, Highland Links Golf Course, Truro Vineyards and Payomet Performing Arts Center.
All guests are encouraged to enjoy our park-like grounds and association bay beach - a short stroll behind the cottage complex. Provincetown ocean beaches - Cape Cod National Seashore, Race Point and Herring Cove are just minutes away by car or bus, and Truro beaches like Head of the Meadow and other Truro bay beaches are just minutes in the other direction. Provincetown is so convenient from here. The center of town is about four miles away - an easy bike ride, nice walk along the beach to town or the Flex bus. If your schedule or budget won't allow for a full week vacation in the off-season, choose to rent the cottage from us. Jul 2022When we arrived Friday, the property wasn't ready. The situation was remedied and we were credited $100. Susan was very apologetic for the mix up.
The cottage is really cute and so well decorated. Great location and the beach access was perfect.
Small complaint was that the grill was really old and has gas. If no gas you buy on your own and get credited back once you submit a receipt. This seemed rather thrifty policy in light of the cost of the rental being close to $450 per night.
Also just a heads up, communication from Susan comes to email directly and not thru the website/app. This was different than my previous rental experiences with VRBO. Read more

Aug 2019This adorable cottage was perfect for our Cape vacation- nicely renovated while keeping its cottage charm. The kitchen had all of the essentials, and we especially loved the private outdoor shower-didn't use the indoor shower once! Loved the location close to P Town and beaches. Sep 2017Our stay at Pilgrim Colony exceeded expectations. The cottage was clean and comfortable for a family of 3 (and would be for 4 too), even on a rainy day when we were indoors. The kitchen allowed us to eat in for meals when we wanted, and the back patio provided us a great outdoor dining space for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. However, if you plan to cook, you will need to bring all oils, spices, and the basics. The kitchen has the usual utensils, pots and pans, but there was absolutely nothing in terms of salt, pepper, sugar, and we also did not find any bowls for cereal. We came prepared as instructed by the rental agency, but it's good to know that there really is nothing there for you if you like to cook. The outdoor shower made the cottage complete and the big lawn in front was a great place to play family games and fly a kite while watching the sunset. The walk to the beach was easy for us, although we don't take a lot of gear, so it might be a bit of a trek when carrying chairs, toys, towels, and such. It's about 300 yards through a narrow, sandy path among the beach grass. The sandbars were fun for fishing and collecting shells. The location of the cottage was perfect. A short drive to Provincetown to take advantage of the shops and restaurants, and also a quick drive to Race Point, bike trails and the ocean side beaches. The shuttle bus to Provincetown is a 2 minute walk and for $2 a person, it beat driving through the narrow streets and paying to park. My family really enjoyed the cottage and we hope to come back again. Read more

May 2022Gorgeous surroundings and ample shared lawn space for relaxing. Wonderful private back patio and heated outdoor shower. Excellent water pressure in the house. We found the kitchen supplies to be ample (bowls, dishes, pots, pans, utensils, flatware), and would recommend bringing your own oils and spices as the house came with salt & pepper.
We enjoyed afternoons exploring the sandy peninsula exposed by the retreating tide--truly magical. The neighbors were very friendly, too! Read more

Perfect space for two, may be a bit cramped for 4 adults. Location close to P-town was perfect for all the activities we pursued while visiting. Oct 2017Fantastic location, one-minute walk to the beach, 5-minute bike ride into town or to jump on the bike trails to access Race Point. The house was adorable, had everything we needed, great shower, comfortable bed, wonderful kitchen to sit at and have coffee in the morning (we didn't even use the guest room but the two twin beds would have been perfect for our kids). Jun 2019Attended wedding at Kalmar Village next door. Extremely convenient to be able to walk to wedding. Cottage is nicely finished and updated,. Very cozy with small patio to dine on in nice weather. Queen bed was comfortable. Nice breezes day and night, didn't need AC in June. Nice beach, easy to catch bus to Ptown. Would stay again and recommend to couples or family with small children. We were three adults and it worked well for us. Read more
