Located in South Haven, this attractive entire house for £344 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Welcome to The South Haven Bungalow!
Built in 2012, you'll enjoy all of the new amenities in and out of this 3 bedroom/2 bathroom home. It is located on Webster Ave., a quiet cul-de-sac street with nearby beach access (500 yards estimate). Walk or ride your bikes to downtown South Haven (only 1 mile away). Or better yet, walk the beach to downtown and the light house during a sunset.
You'll enjoy the wonderful lay-out of this immaculate home. It was designed and built to be a vacation rental. The great room, dining room and kitchen are combined in an open concept with an awesome vaulted ceiling. The bedrooms are off a hallway leading to a large 3 season room/porch and a fantastic private backyard complete with fire pit, swing set and kid's play house with slide.
The master suite has a comfortable king bed and full bath. The first guest room has a comfortable queen bed and 2 twin beds (bunk). The second guest room has 2 bunk beds (full beds on the bottom and twin beds on top). The sectional couch in the great room has a pull out queen bed as well.

Jun 2021WOW!!!! This property was fantastic! This was my family's first visit to Michigan and it did not disappoint. The property was exactly as described plus so much more. The owners have really thought of everything. The porches, yard, outdoor dining, swing set, playhouse were all worth the stay; we did not want to leave the property. May 2021We stayed for the weekend with friends and family and had a great time. The rental exceeded our expectations and is perfect for a group of 8. Sep 2021We had a great time at this wonderful property. Our party included 4 adults and two kids and we all had plenty of space. The outdoor areas (front porch, side yard and back yard) are great. They are mostly shaded and relaxing. The kids enjoyed the large yard and swing set and the full size arcade game.. The house has everything you need to have a great stay- including Beach towels. Brad was a super responsive host. The Beach access is great. There is Newcome Beach at the end of the road (5 mins). It's 30 ft wide with private beach on each side of it. There are also several other larger beach locations easily within walking distance. There is parking if you prefer to drive. Read more

The closest beach was still closed due to stair reconstruction, but there were other close beaches that were easy to access. Property was perfect for 2 families for a weekend. We had everything we needed. The property was well equipped. We loved the swings, fire pit, front porch , arcade and play house. Oct 2020We had a girls weekend here with friends from all over the country. We were so impressed with the the owners attention to detail with everything in the home. We didn’t haven’t to worry about bringing anything but food and drinks for our stay. That took a lot of stress off of everyone traveling.
The home was truly spectacular. The front porch was perfect for morning coffee just enjoying the fresh air. The side yard had plenty of space for everyone to hang out outside. And the inside was very spacious. Not only did everyone have their own bed. But there was plenty of places for us all to hang out together.

Very close to Newcome Beach via short walk, but the public beach area is extremely small (about 50'x50') and can be crowded. We ventured to North Beach a couple times (5 min drive) and there was much more room for the kids to play, and also has a concession stand and restroom. South Haven is a wonderful little town and this home made our stay very enjoyable! Read more

This was our first getaway in over a year since COVID hit, and even though it was just a 2-hour drive from our home in Chicago, it felt like a world away. Our city kids (5 and 9) were thrilled with the big backyard and playhouse in the back, and we all enjoyed seeing deer in the morning and evenings. While the biggest hit was the video game machine (followed closely by the bunk beds), other highlights were making S'mores out back, taking an hours-long walk down the (VERY close) beach, and getting takeout from Clementine's twice. The only thing that was a bit of a bummer was that the stairs for the beach at the end of the street still hadn’t been completed. The house has so many things that were nice to have on location... bikes, beach towels, firewood, crayons/coloring books, outdoor toys, and my kids loved the S'mores.

She referred to the house as her "Holiday Home" and didn't want to leave! We enjoyed the grill and ate several meals outdoors on the side patio. Jun 2022Our girl's trip was wonderful! We went the first weekend in June and had great weather (aside from an afternoon sprinkle one day). The bungalow was super clean and spacious! They have soap & shampoo dispensers in each shower (no conditioner but we brought some), toilet paper, paper towels, extra blankets, dish soap, Tide pods for laundry, beach towels, a beach wagon, soft coolers, etc. The beach chairs are the folding camping chairs, so I recommend you bring your own if you're not into that. There were no baggies or aluminum foil, and only a few Tupperware -- so bring some of those things if you want to store leftovers. But that's it—they have everything else! It was so nice to not have to worry about packing a bunch of additional items or having to run to the store. Brad was also excellent at communicating with us -- always responded very quickly and was so accomodating/flexible. It was a joy to stay here! Read more

May 2021Lovely beach house in a great location. The house was so incredibly clean and everything felt so nice and new - the furniture, decor, sheets, towels, no detail went unnoticed. The swing set/playhouse in the back yard and the arcade and board games inside were huge hits with the kids. All of the beach supplies (towels, wagon, toys) made it so easy and the beach was a simple, short walk away. The location was awesome - when at the house it was very quiet and private but then less than a 5 minute drive away was downtown with all of the shopping, restaurants, and activities. The kids and adults loved the game and movie options. The smores were such a nice touch. Loved having the bikes too! We just got home and the kids already want to go back and move in. We celebrated this year instead with both my daughters snd their families. The house is just perfect . First off you drive up to this charming little house with it’s porch swing and chairs it looks like something Joanna Gaines would have designed,. The inside was just as nice cheery / beachy incredibly clean and was stocked with everything you could imagine. A enclosed back porch, fire pit , swing set and adorable playhouse complete with a slide. Aug 2020Highly recommend the bungalow to anyone looking for a quiet retreat along Lake Michigan. While not on the lake, the home is on a beautiful tree lined street and has a huge yard. There is a great fire pit where we roasted hot dogs and s’mores.
Kids loved the swings and just running around the lawns.
One block from the lake but the beach isn’t very useable. North beach however was a short ride or long walk from the house and was beautiful. Nice and wide. We typically went in the afternoons and had no issues finding a spot separated from others.
The virus kept us home for meals. Only about 25% of those walking around town had masks on. But the house was well stocked for cooking. Beds were great with lots of sleeping options for the kids. Most meals were had in the screened porch out back. Great arcade game in the living room so my wife got to relive her childhood!

I was so happy to bring my friends out to South Haven, many of them first timers, and the house set it over the top. Very clean, beautifully decorated, and the owner, Brad, was easy to get ahold of for questions and very kind and accommodating. My friends are still talking about this trip almost a month later. The house is on a quiet Culdesac The kids loved the playhouse and swing set in backyard. the house is well outfitted with cooking supplies and movies and games and a gas grill and a fire pit for s’mores. I wasn’t used to having towels and toilet paper and so many other items provided. We went down to north beach each day due to social distancing and loved it. We used the bikes at the house to ride back for the car to load everything. Would definitely stay there again. Read more
