Disfruta de la laguna de Bacalar a unos pasos de tu habitación.

Regresaré definitivamente. El Lugar cuenta con todas las amenidades necesarias para disfrutar la hermosa laguna de Bacalar.

Loved my stay it’s a piece of paradise

This place is just magical, lovely garden setting with beautiful flowers everywhere and the rooms are beautiful and in keeping with the surroundings. The location on the waterfront is just incredible and the complimentary kayaks and padel boards are great, lovely location for sunrises. Room was very clean and comfortable, good air conditioning too. Would definitely stay here again if come back to Bacalar. Was hard initially to find somewhere to eat in evening as although lots of restaurants in the area many are attached to beach clubs you have to pay into. By second day had found some gems, I would recommend walking (10 mins or so) up to Parque Nacional Maracuya as they happy for you to have drinks and/or food (big selection of different cuisines) on the waterfront. Los Aluxes also looked nice if happy to eat within the restaurant rather than on waterfront. If looking for drinks head to Casa China (5 min walk) have a little bar overlooking harbour (also great day trips out over the lagoon that run from here).

Breakfast was very very basic, also found it strange the first day you couldn’t get anything to drink if you were thirsty as bar was closed (but apparently would be open tomorrow) so bottles water included in the room but no soft drinks/beer available at all which was a little disappointing when wanting to relax and enjoy the hotel setting.

Muy agradable, pero por su carencia en alimentos, buscaría otras opciones.

La cercanía a la laguna y la amabilidad de su personal; un poco alejado del pueblo, pero a la vez cercano de lo necesario.

Que no tienen servicio de restaurante; solo por la mañana, pero muy limitado; solo huevos (mexicana, con jamón, con salchicha o tocino), el desayuno incluido igual muy limitado y en una simple barra por la que atienden te ponen lo poco que ofrecen; la mantequilla (es margarina) de Aurrera y en un molde al cual todos meten su cuchillo para servirse, las cucharas y cubiertos en un vaso para que uno los tome. En síntesis, muy limitada la cocina, por lo que estás obligado a salir a comer y cenar (si tomas normalmente esos alimentos). El área de la laguna al pisar se siente como fangoso (no se ve así por que el agua está cristalina).

Bad

Didn't stay here, but they wrote me the day of the reservation saying the power was out and if I booked somewhere else they would refund my money. Well in a panic found another hotel and now they're lying saying I stayed there and trying to charge me.

Passable

It’s not the cleanest I feel more effort could be made when cleaning rooms, bathrooms are gross, hairs all over the bathroom from previous clients floors were dirty. Aroma are outdated unless you stay in the room with ocean few all the other rooms are tiny.

They don’t clean room after use and area where breakfast is made is also not clean.

Would definitely recommend.

Room was in a perfect location. Very quiet and relaxing. My room was directly on the lake and had a lot of little extras. Good bar on site. The town and numerous restaurants were an easy $5 cab ride away. Would definitely recommend.

Access to food/snacks on the first day at the property was disappointing.

beautiful hotel on the water

beautiful setting on the water. the hotel is well maintained and clean. staff are friendly. the little bungalows are nice and comfortable. the bar was great to enjoy a drink after a day out on the water.

has access to the lagoon, is a pretty little place with beautiful landscape and flowers everywhere.

the rooms are super small, not worth the price compared to other places in Bacalar, you can hear all kind of notices. only one person at the small restaurant, poor breakfast and the lady was rude, the bar was closed most of the time that we stay there.

I didn’t get get cleaning service and got a small room and payed same as everyone else who got larger rooms.

it was a nice property to go to the cenotes with kayaks which were provided.

Beautiful paradise

Beautiful relaxing hotel with the perfect views. Loved having the kayaks and the paddles available anytime. Javier was amazing! He makes the stay a lot better. He goes out of his way for the guests.

Everything was perfect, but maybe having the restaurant open for later hours would be a nice option.

In all, BlueBird provides exactly what you’re looking for.

Nice simple breakfast included with more choices to choose from. The place itself is above and beyond spectacularly breathtaking! Quite amused of how easily accesible the clear sweet water lagoon is. You’re looking for a place to relax and get away from your reality into a calming euphoric one then this is your place to go! Thank you BlueBird staff for being so attentive! :D

The bed could use a couple more pillows.

Exceptional

Everything was great Patty the receptionist was so professional at the same time gave us a tour of the place and would call taxi for us and gave suggestions. The breakfast was perfect coffee toast and fresh fruit. The kitchen lady Judith was very friendly so was the bar guy Christian the place is very safe ! Highly recommend.

Highly recommended, you simply just feel good!

Everthing in this hotel is exeptional and you feel like at home. Due to our time limit of our total Mexican journey we stayed only 1 night and parted the day after. At the day at depature we asked for recomenation for our further trip. And unbelieveable: We got a full list worked out simply on a sheet of paper worked out very professional! Also we highly recomend the private organised laguna tour - excepionall! Thank you very much to the whole team, everthing was perfect!

I personelly travel a lot all around the world. I"ve seen a lot of hotels. For me and my familiy the stay was perfect and " natural comfortable style". If somebody is used to book only 5 stars hotels, then you might see some small little issues, which are at the end of your your stay less important!

Beautiful property located on the lakefront.

The property grounds are tropical and beautiful. The room was spacious, comfortable and decorated nicely. AC always worked. Good shower pressure with endless hot water. It is great the the kayaks an paddle boards are included at no extra charge. Nice waterfront pier with plenty of beach chairs to relax on. Bar is conveniently located right at the waterfront, but the hours are limited.

WIFI signal could have been better.

Solid place in Bacalar on a beautiful spot on the lagoon

Location was good. A 15 minute walk to town but plenty of restaurants close by. Great lagoon setup with hammocks and loungers. Swimming in the lagoon off the dock is perfect. Beautiful grounds and nice rooms. Good, simple breakfast included. Kayaks and YOLO board included! Also a bar on site but closes a bit early

Loud location next door. Music went till about 1130pm and in the am our bungalow was right up next to the kitchen and outdoor seating area of the place next door. Very loud unfortunately, especially with how quiet and relaxed Blue Bird is. Some bathroom mold issues but otherwise rooms are well kept.

Amazing little waterfront villa!

Location is excellent. We stayed in water front villa and absolutely loved the deck over the water. Room was spacious, super clean. At night time none of the guests hung out in the common area which was right next to our deck, so we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. They have a great snack restaurant with basic favorites and the bar which is open 12-9pm had great drinks, reasonably priced. Staff was friendly and courteous. Doors lock to the hotel at 9pm, but you can still get in after that by knocking and security will let you in.

Only 2 things to comment on, and they're honestly not bad enough to really care about. 1. Water pressure is minimal. And temperature is either very hot or very cold. Difficult to find the sweet spot. 2. Infront of the deck on the waterfront villa you do look at a rundown jetski and a boat. So it kind of impedes the view to the water. But we spent the whole night out on the deck, and enjoyed it even so.

Not worth the high price - for a more reasonable price it would be ok. Too shabby…

Being directly at the beach was nice and the provided free paddle boards and kayaks

Definitely not worth the money - way overpriced for what it is. The place really needs maintenance… Moldy spots around the room - curtains, shower and even the pillows (at least only the smaller decorative ones). The neighbor-hotel had a party two nights in a row and therefore it was really loud - had to sleep with earplugs both nights. On the second day the breakfast was served 15min late, since the lady preparing it simply showed up late. Small bits of trash laying around and nobody from the staff feels responsible to pick it up - a bottle of beer was standing around at the lounge chairs for 1.5 days… Internet was having some issues here and there. There is nothing around - you have to go into the city for everything.

Superb

The place is great, peace and quiet witht direct access to the lagoon :) the possibility of using paddleboard and kayak for free. The bar was open during your stay. Almost perfect.

We were offered the cleaning of the room, which we expected, but the cleaning did not take place ... Fortunately, our stay was short, so we did not mind much...

Loved the place and would definitely come back with my family.

The location is good for someone that wants something secluded. A little far from town but you can take a taxi and be fine. Free coffee and fruits.

WiFi. I keep having connectivity issues and it seems like the WiFi gets turned off at night time.
