Located in Goughs Bay, this charming house for R 5,345 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Perfectly set up for two families to share this fabulous four bedroom house in an amazing location and jaw dropping lake views Whether you want to enjoy a day snow skiing, fish Lake Eildon or the Delatite River, launch your boat at Goughs Bay numerous free boat ramps (which operate down to 10%), ride your dirt bike, ride a horse or simply kick back and relax, the high country is both beautiful and varied. Nestled on an acre of magnificent landscaped gardens with meandering garden paths and lots of seating area you can explore its nooks and crannies or enjoy the magnificent expansive lake views from your own private deck (of which there are 3) while enjoying a glass of your favorite beverage. Ngurra is the ultimate country home. Located 15 minutes from Mansfield, 2 minutes from Goughs Bay township (which offers multiple free public boat ramps) and 35 minutes from the entrance to Mt Buller Alpine national park there is plenty to keep you entertained all your round. Our delightful four bedroom, two living spaces, two bathroom home can sleep 9 adults comfortably (King bed; Queen bed; 2 single beds; and bunk room which sleeps 3). There is a cozy wood fire and all our rooms have their own individual heating. The house is also equipped with 4 reverse cycle air conditioning units - one in each of the upstairs bedroom and one in each living space. We have a fully equipped kitchen, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and miele oven. All basics are provided. There is also an Aldi pod coffee machine (BYO pods) and a coffee machine (BYO beans). There is also a full size BBQ for your enjoyment and a state-of-the art Asko drying cabinet for drying snow ski equipment in the winter months. The house also features 2 TV and a Wii console -just bring your favourite games! The house boasts 3 decks: one front deck, one rear deck and a private deck accessed directly from the upstairs master bedroom so you can enjoy Al fresco dining both in the morning and in the afternoon. Children will enjoy feeding the local bird life directly from their hands. Both bathrooms have a shower while the downstairs bathroom also has a full sized bath. Mansfield is a 15 min drive from Ngurra, where there are plenty of shops and dining options. Alternatively you can pick up a few essentials at the Goughs Bay General Store or even some takeaway from the caravan park or at the local restaurant 'Amongst the Sticks'. Your choices are endless... In the warmer months small pets may be accommodated on request. Although they must be kept outdoors in the rear yard. Please note, we can not guarantee that the fencing will contain an active dog. Ngurra is not your average holiday house - its a loved home that we look forward to sharing with you. You will walk into the house, see the view and feel instantly at home.

We loved the house, everything was perfect managed to our boat up the drive way which we originally thought would not happen. Heaps of boat ramps within a 5 minute drive. The host of the house was easy to deal. We can not wait to come back

The owner gave us good instructions and found property easily. Great view to Lake Eildon, Goughs Bay. Living area was spacious and plenty of room on couch for 5 adults. outside furniture also plentiful. All the beds were comfy and bathrooms clean. Good size fridge and dishwasher and good size TV which had the apps for streaming services if needed. Didnt use the second living area but it looked great for teens and kids. House needs a bit of maintenance but on the whole a great stay.

Very nice place. Driveway is steep and tight if you have a large boat it is challenging but still possible. We had a very nice stay. Would love access to private road nearby to get to Lake but had to drive around and use public ramps.

We all loved feeding the birds, great views , the house was lovely and clean, yard maintainance could proberly wait till guests have left, the only down side was that the siding doors need some fixing as can be hard to open, nice and close to everything.

Absolutely amazing
We absolutely loved our time at this property. It has the most beautiful views and we loved exploring the gardens. So nice to sit on the deck and see the stars at night. You could not ask for a better host. Gerard was so responsive. He made sure our stay was perfect. No issues what so ever. We honestly didn't want to leave. Such a great spot.

Amazing stay at mountain bay with magnificent view
Very clean and well equipped property. Comfy bed and heating system throughout the house. Bird feeding in the morning was fun for the kids.
Close to mount Buller ... about n hour drive. Beautiful view from the property.
Gerard was a wonderful host and communication was very easy.
We will definitely be back next winter or summer :)

Beautiful, comfy stay that had everything we could want.
We were 2 families with 3 children (in total). The accomodation was perfect with plenty of extra beds for larger groups. We stayed at Ngurra as a base for a day trip to ski at Mt Buller. We arrived late on Friday and we were able to quickly warm up the house with the great fireplace and panel heaters in the bedroom. The kitchen was well stocked and had all the pots/pans needed for the induction cooktop (ie - don’t bring your own unless they are for induction). Very importantly there were 3 types of coffee machine options (plunger, pods and one similar to a barista machine). Since we were away most of Saturday at Mt Buller we didn’t really get to fully enjoy the view and the surrounds of the house until Sunday morning. It really is beautiful. The kids really enjoyed feeding the king parrots and other friendly birds off the balcony with the bird seed supplied (in the laundry). We even saw an echidna. It was also great to have the Mansfield zoo nearby and and easy detour on the drive back to Mansfield/Melbourne after check out. The host was very responsive when I needed to contact them.

Perfect for a weekend at the snow
House is well setup for two families with everything you need. Clean and with enough space for everybody. About an hour drive up to Mt. Buller which makes this property an ideal place for families looking for somewhere to stay for a snow trip. The fireplace is nice and with a whole shed full of wood you won't freeze. Split systems are also installed. Telstra phone reception is good aswell. Gerard is friendly and had no trouble contacting him when needed. We had an awesome time, only wish it was longer. We will be back.

5 Star Accommodation Near Mt. Buller With Reasonable Price.
My family and I came from Perth, and recently we took another family from overseas to have a holiday in Mt. Buller. Seven of us stayed at the property.
All of us were impressed with our accommodation. We woke up with sound of local birds singing and great view of the lake. The accommodation was clean, great kitchen utensils and the owner of the property is very professional. He even contacted us after we arrived to check if we were alright.

Weekend family snow trip
We stayed at Mountain Bay for the weekend and drove up to Mount Buller for some snow fun. The whole check in process and communication throughout the booking and our stay was fantastic. Gerard was very quick to respond to our questions. The house was well presented, clean and the kitchen well stocked. It is about 15mins from Mainsfield and an hour to Mount Buller. We had a great time and will recommend the home to our family and friends.

We had a great stay, did not want to leave. Highly recommend staying there. The only thing neg thing I would say is, we couldn’t use the oven as it was too dirty.

Wonderful weekend away!
The house was clean, spacious and well stocked. We absolutely loved sitting on the deck looking at the beautiful views and enjoying the birds that came to visit. We were two families and the house worked really well with the different zones. We’d love to come back!

Lovely Quite Spot
The house was in a lovely quite spot surrounded by beautiful trees and lovely views of the lake and when it was clear we could see the snow on the mountains. The house had everything we needed and could think of needing which was a huge bonus. The beds were comfy and waking to the birds in the mornings was also a treat. Had a few quite magpies and parrots that came every morning for hand feeding which was nice too. Even though out of town it was still an easy drive into Mansfield for a meal and also an easy drive up to Mt Buller. Will defiantly be back for another stay in the future :)

Close to Town, But Away from it all!
We had a wonderful week staying at Ngurra. Although an older property, it was clean and well maintained and the gardens were a lovely bonus. We had birds coming to sit on the balcony, including a very friendly kookaburra, magpies and a variety of parrots. It is close enough to explore Mansfield, Mansfield Zoo, Jamieson and the surrounding areas, as well as spend days on Mount Buller playing in the snow. The drying cupboard was excellent for drying the snow gear and we had everything we needed. If we had any questions, Gerard was happy to help and sent messages checking that we were settled in and fine. It was a wonderful welcome and we would definitely stay again if the opportunity arose.
