Less than 400 steps from multiple beach accesses. Close to King & Prince, and Ocean Lodge. Walk to the village for shopping, eating, and entertainment. Sit outside on the porch and listen to the ocean. Close to Crabdaddy and Crab Trap. Bike rentals nearby. Newly added in 2021: Whole house water filtration and softener system. Fresh and clean water. No need to bring bottled water. New screen porch. Pet friendly. No smoking. Minimum of 3 nights One bedroom, one bathroom, open kitchen with bar, brand new washer and dryer, built in day bed with a trundle. Sleeps 4. Covered front porch. Parking in front. Includes dishwasher, refrigerator with ice maker, oven, stove, microwave, coffee maker, linens, towels, dishes, and fully equipped kitchen. 32" Smart TV in the bedroom and a 55" Smart TV in the living room. Free WiFi. The coffee maker is the filter (drip) type. Discounted Rates for Weekly and Monthly available. Contact us to inquire. REMINDERS: This Cottage is attached to our main house. We use this Cottage frequently for our family and friends. No smoking means no smoking inside or anywhere on the property. This includes vaping as well. Please do not unplug the cables to either TV. Both have additional HDMI slots if you want to plug something in. We have had occasions where it was unplugged and not plugged back in and the next guest called about no TV service. This also causes the router to be reset. Max is 4 persons. Dog weight limit is strictly adhered to. Contact us if you have a question. No early (4pm) or late check outs (10am) without prior approval. We do not accept a reservation with a check in or check out the same day as another existing reservation. The reason is because we follow the protocols for Covid cleaning and it requires about 4 hours to clean. We simply cannot get this done and schedule the cleaner in time to meet the 4 pm time. We ask that you follow these and the other guidelines.

The Salty Dawg is a wonderful place to stay when at St Simons Island. The cottage is immaculately clean, up to date and the owners are very responsive to any need that you may have. The location is situated within walking distance to the Village, restaurants, shops and Neptune Park. We absolutely fell in love with the neighborhood and St Simmons. My husband and I traveled with our French Bulldog and the property, neighborhood and St Simons Island is so pet friendly. The cottage has a screened in porch which is perfect for morning coffee or an afternoon glass of your favorite beverage. The added touches of coozies and the welcoming atmosphere makes this cottage feel like home.

I didn’t know St Simons Island existed, but now I do, and I know where to stay. This place was EXTREMELY CLEAN, and well prepared for all of us, including our young pup. (The owners even delivered dog bowls, biscuits, and a mat for the bowls on the floor.) The shower water was HOT! It was close to town and the beach. The neighborhood was wonderful, very quaint. SO GLAD we found this place!

We had such a great time in St.Simons and at the Salty Dawg Cottage! The house was perfect for us- close to the beach and everything in town! The property was clean and well maintained, we especially loved the screened in porch! Thank you to our wonderful hosts!

It was the perfect location for a couple’s getaway. Equipped with all the necessities for making dinner, but also just a short bike ride to restaurants and shopping. With a small wagon, we could comfortably walk with all our things to the beach. No need for ocean front prices.We didn’t want to leave!!

We had a wonderful time celebrating our daughter’s 21st birthday. We brought her puppy and she loved the beach. Very dog friendly area. Would definitely rent here again.😊

Very well done and very clean. Charming neighborhood , lots of access points to the beach and very short bike ride or walk into town. Stayed for 18 days and there was something to adventure everyday. Very dog friendly

We enjoyed ourselves at this cozy cottage from the moment we walked in the door until we left three weeks later. It was clean, comfortable, nicely decorated and well appointed. The location was wonderful with a short walk to the beach and close to the Town Pier and all the restaurants. It was a perfect for my husband, myself and our little dog. It was nice to find a one bedroom cottage with a screened in porch, which added to the ability to enjoy the pleasant weather. The Salty Dawg Cottage is a gem. We hope to return.

This was our second stay in Salty Dawg Cottage. We love this little cottage and its great location in the Village. The screened in porch has been added since our first visit. We loved sitting on the porch and drinking coffee each morning. The cottage was spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable. The hosts left supplies of dish detergent, laundry detergent, toilet paper, etc. We also appreciate it being pet friendly! Pet bowls were provided. We look forward to staying at Salty Dawg another time in the future.

Perfect Stay!
So clean, well-equipped, and convenient to everything! We rented a golf cart all week to scoot around the island and it just added to the perfection. We will most definitely be back!

We stayed here over a weekend to attend a wedding. The cottage was in a perfect location to walk to the beach and to downtown. It was super clean and the host communicated well with us. Such a cute place! It is the perfect cottage and we can’t wait to come back!!

Our pup also enjoyed her stay. They were kind to provide food/water dishes and poop bags. For potty breaks we would walk to a grassy park area about 0.1 mi from the house since there isn't any grass at the cottage. The neighborhood is lovely with lots of people walking. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a quite centrally located place.
